Im sure that Cedar Fair is already thinking of how they can take it down. Something like this, even if it happens rarely, coupled with the rest of the woes on that ride, I think that SOB days are numbered.

This I can harp on..... I work in maintenance, and if there is anything that I dont feel comfortable with on whatever Im working on, whether it be a game or a ride, I dont release the attraction until I feel comfortable with it. The rest of maintenance feels this same way as well. So by saying that the owner has any say in that is null and void.

Dude, you are so making my night with your wording. Listen, I think that anytime that its serious enough injury to bring in an ambulance, or a barrage of ambulances rivaled only by the amount of tanks that entered Baghdad within the first 3 weeks of the war, is a big deal.

So how many people have to be hurt for you to consider this a big deal Flight Of The Dead?

A lot of it depends on when maintenance releases the ride.

Easily could have left welts on the side of the legs.

Anyone else read in the Cincinnati.com article about it how the ride was "heading out of the big drop and going towards the loop." Someone needs to step back and get some cold hard facts. The two articles on it I have read have conflicting information.

Ummmm, no. I couldnt care less about who signs my paycheck. My greviences are about other things about the park. Its a summer dead end job, I accept that, and am fine with it. I care about the work I put into the park, but after that, the care kinda just vanishes. I do my best to give you guys the best gaming experience. But whoever owns the park isnt going to change that. Let em do whatever they want, cause thats above my paygrade, and the care meter doesnt register as high as corporate doings just yet. Yes, I know there was sarcasm used. Im not that stupid.

Ive gatta say that this was one very VERY interesting trip. When I was asked to go (something about Ryan killing others at HW didnt sit well with me) I really didnt think that the group would be this interesting. The only thing that I didnt like was KK. Just for those who want some sort of reference, imagion going to PKI and have the ride ops (all except for Beast) decided to boycott the park by working as slow as they can. THEN put on top of that they were too busy asking each other over the microphones in the station while deep throating them "Will you stay later?" It was worse than that. I have been to KK just a couple of times BUT there had to have been better service than this. It was awful. Now onto the things I liked: The Beast, as much as it hurts me to say this, has been beaten on my list. I like The Beast, but I love the Voyage. Im planning at least one more trip there just to ride that ride, probabily another weekend. Beech Bend was fun, but I didnt like the fact that two of their coasters could barely make it around the track kinda concerned me. I liked KY Rumbler but I guess since I was used to the Voyage it kinda brought the experience down. I would have to rank it as #4 on my list. Things break. It happens. Sorry you had a bad trip, but thats just life. Nothing in this life is 100 percent reliable.

BTW that post was made by Zoso. He must have not realized that he was on Ryan's name. I will say that many interesting things happened, but I am waiting for the full trip report so I can critique and then post the mistakes under it.

Lets see: My party consists of Ryan, Dane, DeliriumDreamer, TRTRGuy, and Zozo.

The employees fixing IJ are just as excited as everyone else to see it up and 100%. Its my shop, and they are doing a great job on the ride to get everything up and running. Props to the animation team!

If only people knew the real dollar amounts...
