  1. I think we'll see seat belts before we'll see the Calliope working.
  2. I think it would be cool to have some kind of regular meetup, but it probably would be tough to get something like that gong.
  3. I would like to see the addition of some classic amusement park rides.
  4. I really wish they would ENFORCE a rule about not running to rides when the park opens, it's not really fair, you get in line for the gates to open early and then you either half to disrespect everyone else running over them, or fall way behind in line from where you should be, this always is the case at Cedar Point when I get in line for early entry at the Breakers entrance and want to head over for the Maverick, you can't be respectful and get good place in line.
  5. I highly doubt it will be overlooked by many this year, with debut of Diamondback.
  6. Yeah, but thanks to CF's seatbelts (not present on CP's troika, btw!), the line is a wee longer due to the slightly slower load time. That doesn't bother me, I'm never opposed to seatbelts, nothing wrong with a little extra safety, If it goes up in the air I like to have a seatbelt.
  7. No, but on the way home I always take 275 and stop at Roy Rogers near eastgate mall, it's a bit longer getting home, but it's about the only chance I get, living in KY, to get me some Roy Rogers

Yes, I'm am not a fan of bring a friend days, it just makes it a crappy crowded day. I would like to see some kind of benefit, although I know it will never happen, where you could bring a friend once or twice a year for a considerable discount, but they would have to do it in a way, that the season pass holder would have to be with the person with the discount to get in so they couldn't sell the tickets on ebay, making the park more crowded all the time with people getting in with cheap tickets. But that's a mute point because that will never happen
  9. I have gone to Kings Island before on crowded days and just rode the shake rattle and roll and nothing else, because that's never a long wait, and it's just so nice and relaxing, aren't we lucky Paramount, in their infinite wisdom, didn't remove this one.
  10. OK , I actually dreamed about KI last night, I went on Diamondback for the first time, when I was in line the hill looked enormous, like I was waiting in line for Millenium Force, but as I started to go up the massive hill, it turned out to be no steeper than Adventure Express, and I said afterwards, wow it looked a lot bigger standing in line
  11. I won't be riding Diamondback the first weekend. I have a policy to wait at least 1 week on a new ride, to make sure they work out any kinks before I get on, besides I'm sure the line will be crazy, I'm thinkin' the 2nd Sunday the park is open I'll be heading for Diamondback. If I go up openning day, I'll probably be enjoying the fact that everybody is in line for DB, and hopefully walking on the other rides
  12. The Eiffel Tower is a great place to take your camera. Cedar Point seemed to be a little strict on taking cameras on rides. I mean I can understand not allowing cameras on roller coasters, but please the train and the skyride - I can not see why they preach no cameras on these rides, 2 years ago I heard them say as I got on the train no picture taking allowed, this year they did not make that claim, I don't know if they changed the rule or just weren't advertising it like they have in the past, all I know is you can get a great shot from the sky ride.
  13. I don't care much about plaques, all I know is the funnest times I ever had on a wooden roller coaster was on the recar, a ride I have ridden more than any other ride in my life.
  14. Well that's a shame on the IR, because KI really needs it. Is there any park this size that don't have a full service restaurant
  15. I don't think that new coaster is gonna sink in, till I see it in action, I feel like I'm looking at pics of a new Cedar Point coaster, it's gonna be awesome to have a coaster like this at Kings Island
  16. How about bring back both The International Restaurant and International Street, and actually have the shops like they use to, with interesting boutiques, these kind of things make the day enjoyable for those to old to ride, my mom can spend all day in the craft shops in frontier town at Cedar Point, she has little to do at KI.
  17. Amen, I ride the log flume about 20 times during October when the elephant is off, and 0 times the rest of the year as walking around with a soaked shirt doesn't do anything for me. Doubt this would happen but I vote for the return of the International Restaurant
  18. I don't know much about the new management, but I like their decision to bring back Bavarian Kurve this year, keeping with the Kennywood tradition of classic rides
  19. As of February 1st, there website now is a letter explaining there decision to do so, and sounds like they really don't think much of the new management.
  20. I'm not old enough to remember the sky ride at Kings Island, my earliest memories there are in the early 80's, only seen it in pictures, I wish it were still there though, excellent way to get to another side of the park.
  21. I love the skyride at Cedar Point, especially with the lake view when you're up there, it's actually one of my favorite rides there, believe it or not, nothing I love more, there aren't too many of these traditional sky rides left, most like the one at Indiana Beach are really sky lifts, but I enjoy those also.
  22. Yeah, I just read that on Screamscape, I wonder what the details of this is, I wonder how early the park will be open for this. What will be the difference between this and a normal ert day? Would be nice to see something like Coatermania at Cedar Point.
  23. Well I'll take my chances wishing for a train renovation, because as it is now, it's practically a dump, I'll take a diesel engine, if it means they can do something with the scenery or lack there of. I don't doubt Paramounts would have removed it though, they removed just about anything that Grandparents could've enjoyed for their price of admission. My parents in their upper 60's always go to Cedar Point with me, but never Kings Island, there just is nothing there for them to do. At Cedar Point they can ride the train, the paddleboats, the skyride, sit down at a restaurant, go through craft shops. A renovated train would at least give them something to ride at KI, that they could enjoy riding several times.
  24. How about a renovation of the train - I would like to see the water park no longer have access from the train and some new access created, and leave the train to be a traditional train ride through the woods with new displays.
