  1. I'm glad to see shows coming back to the Festhaus, but with lineup of shows pardon me if I don't get excited, 80's music, country music, I know this is beating a dead horse for me, but can we please see a rock n roll show in the future, I guess the 80's show could be some rock n roll but I have a feeling it'll be more a long the line Michael Jackson, Madonna and all that Pop stuff Ok I know I'm not happy unless I'm complaining, I can't wait for tomorrow, hope the rain holds off. And I can't wait to watch the construction this summer!

wll they have the jackets there on openning day?
  3. the front page only talks about days prior to the park openning
  4. I would hardly call Flight of Fear a mild adult ride, my mom would have a heart attack if she rode that, me I love it, but I like a nice mild ride as well
  5. yeah, come to think of it, it's amazing the train is still here, God forbid Kings Island have a ride that is a Mild adult ride, something that's not a wild ride or a kids ride
  6. After the decision that The Racer should go back to the way it was intended, what about the train? I don't think being a transport to the waterpark was how the ride was originally intended to be, and that is pretty much all the ride has become, everything else is rundown, and where you used to feel like you were going into the wilderness now you feel like your going through a swim club. If were so worried about nostalgia this should be a top priority
  7. where is the nostalgia on the train, I don't think the original intent was to be little more than a transport to the water park, make it a train ride again
  8. yes but we all know Cedar Fair must stay consistent
  9. Manits can be a little rough depending on how you have yourself situated, but it doesn't hold a candle to Son of Beast, that is the only coaster I cannot ride, it absolutely destroys my head, and I'm not one to get headaches, but it feels like I am getting beat over the head with a baseball bat when I ride it, never again, i've attempted 3 times and every time it seems to get worse
  10. When will Dora and friends leave? not soon enough for me, I like snoopy but i'll take anything else. Here is a though if we have to turn the backward racer around to keep in tradition with the way the ride was really intended, to stay consistent (and we know Cedar Fair likes to stay consistent) shouldn't Hana-Barbera return?
  11. Complete and total Devastation, my favorite wooden coaster of all time is no more There was nothing like riding in the back seat of the backwards racer Also the 1st adult coaster I ever rode Now I know how my mom feels as she has lamented over the loss of her Shooting Star from Coney all these years
  12. I don't doubt the view will be great, I would have been in favor of switching sides for the sake of the view, but I just hate this, If they care so much about the history of the park bring back the flying eagles and the antique cars, then I might buy into this crap
  13. I polled all my co workers and almost all of them turned their nose up at losing the backward racer, While some will like this change I think it will not go over well with a lot of people
  14. I have to admit it will be interesting at first to ride forwards and see the view of the midway, but that will rub off quick, and the frustration will be there
  15. This Sucks! Bad PR move as well, there are those that prefer it forwards but they have that, the many that love the backward racer are going to be irritated like myself, while I'm not one of those kind of people who are going to say I won't renew my pass because of it, still it feels like they have torn down my favorite ride, and I know many people that love it backwards, and I think this will upset more people than it makes happy
  16. I've never been to Magic Mountain, I've only seen it in the movies aka "Wally World" and "Kiss Meets The Phantom" but I have a hard time believing that the quality of their coasters matches up to the quality of Cedar Point's Coasters, by the way isn't Planet Snoopy going to have a New (new but old that is) kids coaster bring the total to 18? This would be an excellent reason (yeah I know it will never happen) for Cedar Fair to move The Big Dipper to Cedar Point, wouldn't be cool to see something like that somewhere on the beach, where people with stamped hands can ride, that would be cool
  17. My problem with the python is the size of the cars and the metal bar that bangs up my knees, I doubt I'd have a problem with the cyclone, unless my knees were constantly hitting a bar Who said anything about the best rides ever, last time I checked Coney is a bigger park than Strickers Grove, I was just saying a nice small wooden coaster would be nice, something just about every amusement park Coney's size and smaller has, I don't expect it to happen but it would be nice
  18. Island Rhythms, 80's, Kids stuff, country - can't we ever have a Classic Rock N Roll show???
  19. First Junior coaster would've been The Beastie, and the first adult coaster was The Backward Racer
  20. If it's for insurance I'd be happy to sign a waver
  21. I'm sorry but the Pepsi Python is horrible, I can't even ride it without getting my knees banged up against the metal bar, the cars are too small, If they had the tornado, heck even the Teddy Bear would do wonders for the atmosphere there

If I can quote Drew Carry "You can have Disney World, I'll take Cedar Point"
