  1. I have a hard time picking, but I'll go with the antique cars, if for no other reason, it really added to the landscape of the park, it was pretty to look at nestled behind the Eiffel Tower.
  2. I think it is highly unlikely that they will have a new ride the year after building a 20 million dollar plus ride.
  3. Well, a little mist wouldn't bother me at all, could even be pleasant, it's getting my shirt and what not soaked that irritates me.
  4. Well I hope not, I hate waterparks, and despise getting wet if i'm not dressed for swimming, and have been waiting for a hyper coaster here for a long time.
  5. how about riders, will they get very wet?
  6. I was considering joining, and was wandering what to expect from their publications, how long are they and what are the like.
  7. I plan on going to Lakemont and Delgrosso's for the first time this summer, and though I'm looking forward to both for different reasons, I'm most excited about Lakemont, they look like they more exciting stuff such as skyliner, twister, and quite a nice collection of old rides, however I am very excited about going to DelGrosso's and riding The Kings Island Wheel of Fortune for the first time in over 20 years
  8. Site is back up today, must have just been a coincidence that it was down when I tried to visit, although the site is nothing but info on winter event.
  9. Hope it's just temporarily down, but in this economy I worry about these small parks
  10. I especially miss Magic World (The Magic Carpet Ride was really cool), and Water Bogan from the 80's, I loved those places, it does seem that this place is becoming Ripleyburg - Ripley's are really starting to irritate me. A couple years ago an individual had an idea for a mirror maze, Ripleys couldn't stand it so they opened the same thing the next year, can't stand to spread the wealth with the little guy, I love Gatlinburg but things are going downhill, the old fashioned junk and craft shops dissapearing, I was shocked that Christus Gardens went out last year, I also miss the Brass Lantern. The Old Mill Restaurant in Pigeon Forge is the best restaurant imo anywhere.
  11. Very Sad I would love to see Coney Island get the Tumble Bug, that would be awesome, I'm sure it won't happen, but that would be great
  12. 1) Diamondback (I think I can safely say this) 2) Flight of Fear 3) The Log Flume (During Halloween Haunt that is, when the elephant is off) 4) The Racer 5) Shake, Rattle And Roll Favorite 5 that are gone: 1) Backward Racer 2) Skylab 3) Enchanted Voyage 4) Tumble Bug - 2 of my top 4 located in the same spot, now the spot is vacant or a dumb game:( 5) Antique Cars
  13. I really can only remember the Smurf's, though I did go in the original, the smurfs invaded when I was about 6 or 7, the only audio I recall is Gargamel "I'll get you smurfs, I'll get you smurfs"
  14. No, I agree I'm glad they didn't tear it down, I'm looking very forward to riding it, I love them kind of rides, I do however think the old mill atmosphere would have been awesome as opposed to all the bright colors that I see in the pictures. and I am also looking forward to Ghostwood Estates, although (I know I'm in the minority) I don't care for the guns and targets craze, making a video game out of dark rides, and hearing laser noises through the whole thing, but I guess that's what the kids like, but I love the dark rides.
  15. Running whether dangerous or not is unfair, if you get there early and wait in line, you shouldn't be required to run disrespecting others in order to keep your place in line. I was going to make my first Kennywood/Idlewild trip last year, but I postponed it to this year, I can't wait to ride the tumblebug (turtle) and the whip, and the Catepillar at Idlewild. I do wish they had left the old mill alone, I get tired of every non wild ride having to be turned into a cartoon.
  16. after 10 times on Flight of Fear last night, that has to be the winner
  17. Kings Island did have a live band the last year of Fearfest (before converting to Haunt). It didn't draw a crowd and didn't come back. What works at one park doesn't necessarily work at another. Yeah, unfortunately Cincinnati is no longer a rock n roll town, the Cleveland area that's a different story
  18. Welcome, this is the best amusement park forum on the net, no matter what park is your favorite
  19. I remember when I was a kid and went to Magic World in Pigeon Forge they had a magic show and I also remember a high diving act with a mix of comedy where there was a heckler in the crowd giving the diver a hard time, and the diver eventually said "You think you can do it" as it turns out the heckler was part of the show and he was the one who made the dive - for the longest time you thought the heckler was a punk and at the end you realized he was part of the show - very entertaining.
  20. Maybe it's because I despise the choice of music at KI 80's, country, diva, I rather hear classic rock and roll, but it's not just that, when I was a kid amusement parks use to have things like magic shows, comedy acts, carnival acts. I would love to see this kind of stuff at KI instead of everything being a musical. Do you agree or not?
  21. Today was awesome, no crowds (gee, I love it when the Bengals are in town), I rode Flight of Fear 10 times, 7 times in the final hour even though I had a headache, The longest line I had was 10 minutes for back lot (I don't understand why it iis always among the largest lines, incredible), I even got to ride 4 rides in kiddie land, I rode The Beastie for the 1st time in about 25 years (I refuse to call this fairly odd coaster), Avitar, the suspended coaster and the haunted house, also the log flume, I never miss a chance to ride this when that stupid elephant is turned off, one of the few rides that I rode as a kid that remains. I get so used to these uncrowded October Sundays, that I get spoiled and it is very difficult to enjoy going to Kings Island when the next season starts and I actually have to weight in lines.
  22. I would love to see Snoopy, but I'd be happy with HB too, both would be excellent choices, and both imo an improvement
  23. oh, does this mean I didn't have to process a new pass, I did renew it online, but it printed a form to process.
