  1. dunno, I heard there was fog and sound effects but if there isn't, I can see why.
  2. my two cents about the "hollywooding" of the ride, You can't hear the sound effects really well while going up the first hill, because the train still makes a lot of sound going up the hill. All coasters do.(except LIM/LSM coasters) When I went, the fog wasn't working too well, but I'll try again later.
  3. When I had a season's pass for the last few years, we'd almost go every other day. That pass certainly paid off!
  4. something like that happened to me yesterday, too. This guy comes up, and asks how tall the tallest person can be to still ride, and I told him to stand against the pole where the red tape is on the top, and he is at least two feet shorter than that red tape. I told him that he could ride. As soon as I said that, he got up on his toes, and stood against it, and asked,"how about now"? He was still at least a foot and a half shorter than the height limit.
  5. Vortex, if they got better and softer harnesses. While you are riding, your head jams against the sides so hard, it hurts. When it happens on Face off, it doesn't hurt as much.
  6. I rode it yesterday(hence why I was late for work) and it's running fine. It's always shaky, and it always will be. Sob is shakier, though.
  7. Tomb Raider
  8. If you came back to Delirium at around 4:00 pm, you would have seen Shaina (aka: Kat Marie) and myself working there.
  9. I remember when I went this past easter, a girls flip flop flew off on delerium , I was just getting on the ride after her, a guy running the ride said someone would get it for her. I thought that was funny ( I dont know why she just didnt take them off ?) That would be my sup who got the shoe. I was there when it happened.
  10. Man, if I was working Delirium yesterday, you guys woulda seen me. Unfourtunately, I got stuck everywhere else in Old Coney. Check out my report in the employees forum titled,"problems in paradise"
  11. I also rode beast and eagles this afternoon before my shift started. I did some pretty good snaps. Man was that fun!!! I waited around a half-hour for beast, sat in the back, and ended up being late for my closing shift because the greeter can't count.
  12. me neither. I'm going to try to get down there today after my swing shift ends.
  13. I almost got sick on Smash Factory. I can stand really big rides, but I can't with 3-d movies. They make me feel really sick. Luckily, I never do get sick.
  14. I have another one.... About two years ago I rode The Racer alone, while my parents and sisters were in HB. While I was on the ride, someone in the front seat lost their cap coming down one of the hills, and the person in the last seat caught it!
  15. Tiny- the "scream like a girl sup" was Jeremy. the Certain Someone knows who he is. to find that one out, check out the "what's the best ride to work" board. The park map flying was on easter. The shoe was on Gold pass sneak preview day. It wasn't the first shoe I've seen fly off either. I've seen at least ten shoes come off of face off, and drop zone. Mostly on Delirium and Face off, though.
  16. I voted Tomb Raider, because the media made such a big deal of it, and because it was indoors, it was a mystery as to what it was. I rode it one time, and I must say, the best part about the ride is waiting in line. All of the scenery is good, but the ride stinks.
  17. I could say a lot of things on this one... 1. (as mentioned before in one of my other posts) a certain someone hitting their head on slingshot and cursing for the next 15 minutes, while we were training. 2. a guest losing their shoe (it ended up next to the track for DOT) on Delirium. 3.a guest losing their park map (it ended up on top of the guess ur age/weight booth) on Delirium. 4. my sup screaming like a girl on slingshot(priceless).
  18. Happy b-day! I'll see you soon! *kisses foot of Eiffel Tower* man, do I love pki!
  19. What times did you get on? Because if it was towards the end of the day(3:45-8), you probably saw me in uniform.
  20. yeah, Delirium does give you that same swinging feeling that the other swinging rides do. I don't think she should try it if she is that worried. Don't try the viking ship either.
  21. I can't agree with you more, yogi. I get a headache just going into and out of Oscars. Do you guys remember a few years ago when they didn't constantly play little kids songs at HB, but actually different versions of Scooby's theme song, and other theme songs from HB? I prefer that over what they have now.
  22. You tell 'em, Steve-O! I couldn't have said it better myself. I especially like your number one reason.
  23. I voted AZ, because it's tunes are so cool and catchy, my fave being "Let's hear it for the boy" from Footloose. It keeps me on my feet at Delirium.
