Well the park still needs to wire everything up on Firehawk and painting the hole coaster will take time. I hope KI does not rush to open this coaster. They won't, under no circumstances will they open Firehawk sooner than its scheduled date. They have strategically decided the best time to have Firehawk open and that coincides directly with the start of daily operation on Memorial Day weekend! And in any case, though they are flying, there is still alot to be done. Always expect the unexpected as well, weather and other unseens are great equalizers.

^Places don't need to be the greatest to create memories! Im quite content knowing only the Paramount years. It gives me a different take and view on history than the rest of you! I wouldnt wish it to be anything different than what it is! Paramount created lasting wonderful memories for me!

I do not remember the exact date of my first visit to KI. I do remember however that I was with my mom and sister and grandma and Grandpa. I was around 6 years old and had just moved to Fairborn, Ohio. My mom, sister (who was maybe two), and I moved in with my grandparents while we were getting back on our feet. Anyways one day, we decided to all go to KI and I remember jerking the tubs left and right on the Flying Eagles as being my first real memorable experience of an amusement park while my grandpa leaned up against the fence and watched, I hated coasters at that time! So I remember riding the tiques and the Flying Eagles, and the other thing that I still remember so vivid to this day is that in the Action FX theater they had Days of Thunder playing, which has always been one of my top favorite movies. And I remember riding along in the famous Mellow Yellow car driven by Cole Trickle, while my red seat gyrated back and forth! Wow the memories, this is why I love KI!

You underestimate the power of history...many people will attend a park for its historical significance. This is afterall why we have ACE, Historical socieities, Smithsonean institute. The same people that belong to this group would be more motivated to visit KI if they knew the importance of RACER. Another big reason that people go to Disney World or Land?? They know about its history! You may want to include a small historical tidbit on your site! It can only add, noone will think they are visiting a 1993 park if you tuck it away, but make it accesible to those who would be quite interested!

Ok you dont have to be an ass about it...Still does not answer my question though. 1.) Its easier to paint pieces in the air so that you dont have to "turn" them 2.) if they were painted on the ground, they would get scratched up while being picked up and moved. Any attempt to touch up would appear splotchy! The color will be a dark shiny almost candy apple Red. The color on there now is a primer.

Yeah thats what I was thinking, someone told me they would let employees know too, I wasnt sure about that though! I guess now we have confirmation! Can't wait for my tummy to smile, haha!

Well we finally got a release on the rest of the season! Im wondering whats next!

I wont spend too much time on this because everyone here in favor of you going has said what I would say. Dollywood is a splendid park! A truly amazing experience, and I am quite sure that there are very few men in this world near as funny as The James Rogers! I have everyone of his CD'S! FYI James Rogers has a show at Dollywood, which has near 40...yes I said 40!!! shows running throughout the seasons, and 20+ on any given day! The shows are great, and so are the rides, the scenery is beautiful. The Nostalgia and memories created are well worth the price. just watching all the shows and riding every ride, I think one person could spen 3 days at Dolly wood easily! That is more to do than one day at Universal! The park is truly a great experience! Good luck, and I hope that you decide to go, If your family loves shows and some rides that are worldclass as well than you should deff put them first and have a day at the spectacular DollyWood! You won't regret it! On a side note, if Dollywood can have 40 shows all throught out the season, why cant KI even muster 3 that run the full season?? Talent is one reason I know....but there is always a way! Heres all the shows! All of Dollywoods Shows!!
