Very Very True. When it was the OTSR I would always get a cramp in my legs, now with the lap bar its great. I rode it in its inaugural year and suffered a huge headache. I'm only 5'3" and my ears lined up perfectly with those restraints. After that experience, it became the only coaster that I refused to ride. Now its a must ride for me every visit. It has also taken the spot of my son's favorite steel coaster. Of course, he never rode it with the OTSR, so its always been a great ride to him. EDIT: Post 201... I'm officially a Junky and it only took almost two years. I guess I don't have as much to say as some others

The biggest Jekyll and Hyde moment for me would have to be FoF before and then after the OTSR removal.

Press Release: First Rides on Diamondback Up for Auction
clbehymer replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
I would be up for donating as a group and giving the seat to one of the kids from the charity. Maybe Ryan or another moderator can set something up like we pay our money to paypal or something and he makes the bid for us as a community??? You can put me down for at least $20. -
I know that this has been said before, I believe in this topic, but I just got into an argument with my dad about The Bat killing someone. I remember hearing them talk about this when I was a kid and it freaked me out. He still tells me to this day that the car flew out too far and hit a support. I just let him know that he is full of it.

It was nice to see everyone at the party. It was especially nice to put some faces with screen names. Thanks for the pics Avatar... but next time can you photoshop it to make me look thinner.

Last year on the press release day of Diamondback, I brought my son and little cousin with me to the park. I packed food for breakfast, lunch, and snack after leaving. We drank water in the park and went to the car for lunch. I think the whole trip cost me $20 for gas. As economical this option is, I really hated not being able to grab LaRosa's and Skyline while in the park. We don't have either one where we live. Granted the outside the park restaraunts for both are much better, atleast lately, but for me its part of the experience of going to Kings Island. When I was a kid visiting Kings Island, I didn't even know that they were chains that existed outside of the park. I just wish that I could get quality food for my money.

I remember the "kiddie jail" for The Beast before I was tall enough to ride. I would be very upset that I couldn't ride, but still remember being excited to even be in line and in the station. Not to mention the excitment/dissapointment that came with standing next to the thing that said "you must be this tall to ride The Beast". -

^I agree. I am amazed more and more with every photo update. I don't watch the webcam very often as I usually see interesting screen shots on here. I am anxiously awaiting PTR from you guys on the 31st! -
If you had an extra ticket, I'd pick you up and take you there.

Since I didn't get a white Christmas, I'm ready for winter to be over. And, after yesterday's warm weather, I can't wait for spring. It starts the busy season at my job and brings us all closer to riding all the rides that we long for over the winter.

I remember the lake, concession stand, and having to wait well past Rivertown Pizza and going through all the switchbacks and still not being tall enough to ride.

Ok... I'll add to the sillyness. Don Helbig doesn't sleep... he waits. Don Helbig's tears are the cure for cancer... to bad he doesn't cry. When Don Helbig drinks, he doesn't throw up... he throws down. -
Here is a pet peeve of mine about certain park guests, aka, my friends that come with me... I naturally walk fast, and when I am at an amusement park, I still walk fast. It always seems like I am walking 50 feet in front of them and I have to stop and wait, stop and wait, stop and wait. I try to walk slower, but it just doesn't happen. The times that it really bothers me is if I am having a conversation with them and walking and then I look like an idiot walking by myself talking to no one.

Did anyone else notice that they don't have 2 seperate times listed for Halloween Haunt on Sautrdays like they did last year?

I think that you may be right. I went back through the photo galleries and found a side shot of that area. While not noticable from the air, the side shot shows a slight decrease in height. Therefore, the 10th drop I could not find previously. Thanks for the suggestion, it was bothering me. EDIT: btw... it is pic #61 on the kiDiamondback photo gallery -

Counted both of them. Hammerhead is the fourth and the splashdown is number 9. Counted number 6 as the drop coming out of the MCBR. I don't know, maybe I'm just blind? -

I was just looking at the kiDiamondback website and I can only count 9 drops, not ten. What am I missing? -
Does anybody remember that video about the cats and they would sing that song that went like "shockacon" extreemly weird That's actually Chaka Khan from this video...

Well the Titans are 10-1 and the Colts are 7-4. There are 5 weeks left and basically the Colts would have to win out and the Titans would have to lose out. Since the Titans are playing Detroit, Cleveland, and Houston the next three games, I don't see it happening. I say the Titans finish 13-3. The Colts play Cleveland, Detroit, Cincy, Jacksonville, and then the Titans. Colts finish 12-4. But as long as the Colts keep winning, we've got the wild card spot!
