  1. I agree with that. Bring back the old International Street music, too!
  2. I have a KI Maxx Pass, but have yet to use it at CP or elsewhere. I'm glad that I read this so I would expect to be referred to GR at CP when I go. I say that we should start some sort of petition or letter to CF. They may be able to ignore multiple people when dealing with 1 person at a time, but do you think that if 100 or more people complained on the same letter/petition, they would ignore it? Just a thought, maybe a silly one at that.
  3. I didn't plan on going on Memorial Weekend to ride Firehawk, but after hearing that it may only be a one train operation, I definately will NOT even try to.
  4. I'm pretty sure that KI used to have a skyride, but took it out. (if that's what you're talking about) I have ridden a couple of those types of rides (at CP and Busch Gardens) and I have never felt very safe on them.
  5. The longest wait that I had at KI was in 1993 on a Saturday in July, and I waited for around 4 hours for The Vortex. The line was even longer for The Beast, but we didn't wait in that one. My longest wait at CP had to be opening year for MF, it was a Sunday and the Park was extremely crowded. We waited about 3 and half hours.

    4/29/07...

From the sound of your post, I am glad that I went last Sunday... the longest wait time that I had for a ride was 10 minutes for the Wild Thornberry's River Adventure. I was even able to get on Face/Off within 10 minutes (which has never happened to me before)!
  7. My first visit was in 1980. My mom was pregnant with me, and I have been to the park at least once a year ever since. My entire family would come to the park together every July 1st. I have great memories of this park as a child and I have continued this tradition with my son. I found KIC when I googled Kings Island images. I was so happy that I found this site with all of the photos and history.
  8. I don't think that the construction photos link works?
  9. I'll be there Sunday... I hope that the line isn't too long to get my pass processed.
  10. I bought myself a Maxx Pass for Chiristmas. Merry Christmas to me!
  11. Thanks... I have ridden the flying eagles many times and loved them. I thought that that was the ride that they were talking about, but wasn't completely sure.
  12. Please don't laugh... what are the Flying Scooters?
  13. I am a shorter person, and I would love if Vortex got restraints like FoF so I wouldn't bang my head on the OTSR anymore.
  14. I've been riding The Vortex for all of its 20 years myself, and now my son is continuing in my footsteps. Happy Birthday Vortex!
  15. That's crazy!!! It doesn't look like the supports are held down to the ground by anything and there are people riding it. I do miss the Cobra, though.
  16. I'm sure that it is an old picture, they posted old pics of Vortex and FoF construction earlier.
  17. I just hope that the food prices don't go up drastically!
  18. Well, I for one, would never be dissapointed with a new coaster in 2008, but I would rather have all of the current rides (SOB) up and running well. I think that I would love a new dark ride or log flume ride (like the old one they took out).
  19. Well you do not have to miss the beer anymore, they are adding beer carts everywhere this year like the old days..... Sounds great to me!!!
  20. Great idea for a ride. My two favorite things - roller coasters and haunted houses. It would be cool ride to see!
  21. Someone needs to get this kid a map! JK
  22. Thanks for the 2007 map, Hauntguy. Wether it's real or not, I'm still excited about this season!
  23. I have been going to the park every year since I was a baby... this will be my 26th season. I remember crying and crying because I wasn't tall enough to ride The Beast. I had to stay in the kiddie jail. Finally, in '87 I was tall enough to ride. My dad put me in the front seat, told me to hold me hands up as we were going up the first lift hill. I can still remember that first time that I looked over the top of the hill. I was so excited. I remember holding my hands up for the entire ride. I have been hooked ever since. My parents and I have a tradition to grab some LaRosa's pizza and head to The Beast line when we first get in the park. And even when I have went with friends, I still have to get pizza and can't wait to see over the first hill... although I prefer the back seat now.
