Did Flight Deck get a face lift?

I will be there. Can't wait!

While Maverick is a wonderful coaster, the restraints took a lot away from the experience. They were uncomfortable and and really abuse the top of each shoulder. I have only ridden Maverick twice, but I feel the same way about the restraints. I thought that it was going to chop my neck off. edit: sorry about the double post.

Totally forgot about that ride. I would have to say that I rode it the first year that it opened and I'll never do it again. That would be the first rollercoaster that ever gave me a headache.

I am so horrible at new names... I still call FOF Outer Limits

When did you join KICentral?
clbehymer replied to Captain Nemo's topic in KICentral Footnotes & Small News
I joined March 22, 2007. I was looking for pictures of Kings Island to use for work (just to advertise to our members that we were selling consignment tickets from the park) and when I googled KI, I found this site. I don't think that I post that often, but I do read almost everyday. -
^ I have to agree. I do miss the loop, but I'll take no loop over the insane pain that it caused anyday.

Pardon me, but I think your attitude on this is very cold, to say the least. I agree. I can't imagine a parent feeling this way. QUOTE (momtojoshcanpark) I am sure they can't, but again, I don't think they should sure above it. The family should be able to come out even, then have whatever she needs for her future, including medical bills, new prosthetic bills, continuing rehab. I don't think that it should be like winning the powerball or anything, but I'd say that the family will never "come out even" no matter what the amount of money.

I remember the water around The Beast. I was a sad little girl the first time that I saw that I couldn't throw my coins in the water that rushed down from the roof. Wasn't the water drained the year before Vortex opened?

I am looking forward to riding the Crypt this year. I enjoyed the ride the first time that I rode it opening year. I do think that the novelty wears off a bit after riding so many times, but I still rode it everytime that I went to KI (except, of course when I went to Halloween Haunt and it was down for the season). I liked riding it with first time riders to see their expressions and reactions to the ride. Looking forward to the new program, if there is one.

Honestly, I didn't even see this coaster, or if I did I didn't realize it. Where is it located (what part of the park)? I was only there for 2 1/2 hours, as the park closed at 6 that day, and I tried to ride all the rides that I passed by.

I just recently got back from a trip from California. I was there for work, but was able to get some downtime to visit a couple of parks that I had never been to before. I visited Knott's on 2/25. I was very impressed with this park. I really didn't know what to expect and I had never visited a park by myself before, so I was hoping that there weren't going to be long lines for me to get bored in. I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of lines and people in the park. It did take me a while to find where I was supposed to park, but after I found the lot by Soak City, I was doing fine. The first ride that I came to was Silver Bullet. This ride reminded me of Raptor, which I enjoy, and I really had fun on it. With the lack of a line, I was able to get a couple of rides in a row. Then I rode the Sierra Sidewinder. It was a neat concept with the spinning cars and I thought that it was a fun family ride. Then I rode the Log Ride. I have to say that this is the best log ride that I have ever been on. This ride was themed out to the max and there were points that I was waiting for one of the "miners" to jump out at me. So that I don't sound like a wimp, I rode by myself, it was really dark in some places, the "miners" looked very real, and the last time that I was at any park was during Halloween and everything was jumping out at me then! The coolest part would be when it was completely dark and you went down a hill unexpectedly. Unfortunately, the Xcelerator was closed for seasonal maintenance, so I didn't get to ride. I was disappointed because I really like TTD and it reminded me of it. I also rode the boomerang (a headache waiting to happen), Riptide, and Supreme Scream. The last thing that I rode was the big wooden coaster, GhostRider. I have to say that I loved this ride. I am a huge beast fan and I compare all wooden coasters that I ride to it. I definitely wouldn't say that this is better than The Beast, IMO, but it is really good. Worth the trip by itself. Lost of unexpected turns and lots of air time. I loved it so much that I rode it 4 times in a row. Twice in the front seat, and twice in the back. I was also able to get my 2008 Platinum Pass, so I won't have to worry about it come April.

I have not heard anything about this. Of course, most if not all of the "rumors" that I hear about KI are on this site. I think that it would be a ridiculous thing to do.

I also don't think that we were as celeb obssesed as we are now (as a culture). If Zoey was on TV 20 years ago, we probably would not have found out that she was pregnant through all of the media, and we wouldn't have been so quick to judge her for a mistake (or mishap) that she made. But on the topic... I voted to have both. This is just because I grew up with HB characters, and I know that my son loved Nick, when he was younger.

My parents went to Kings Island for their honeymoon back in '79

I rode skyhawk for the first time with my 12 year old son, who btw loves all coasters expecially Millie and TTD, but he and I were both a little uneasy when we rode this ride. I guess thats part of the thrill.

First, it did not happen. But, second, coasters that have had deaths usually do continue to operate. See, for instance, Raven at Holiday World, Rolling Thunder at Six Flags Great Adventure, Timber Wolf at Worlds of Fun, etc. I had never heard that someone died on Raven... when did that happen (not doubting you, of course, but just curious)?

Heres another question about season passes... I am going to California in February. I plan on visiting Knotts Berry Farm while I am there. Since the platinum pass includes Knotts, can I get my season pass there? I have not bought the season pass yet for this reason. I knew that if I bought it through KI then I could not process it at Knotts.

I hope that your patients didn't mind

If you look at the main sign, the spacing is a little awkward. Makes it look like it says, TOM BRAIDER: THE RIDE. They should just call it that. Which sounds not too far off from TOM BRADY: THE RIDE. I guess it would make sense then that the ride is a joke. HAHA!!! That's Great!
