I was pretty sure there was going to be a new ride program on it, esp after I saw the removed seats sitting outside the building while I was on beast. But I heard a couple rides guys talking about how they are just changing the themeing but the ride will still do the same thing. Any thoughts?

Opening day wasnt bad, little more crowded than I would have liked, but thats to be expected I guess. For the first time ever I rode Xtreme Skyflyer and slingshot and thought they were absolutly AWESOME both scared the $%@# out of me but still let me wanting more thats a good thrill ride. I will however say the day was disapointing because the crypt wasnt open. Tomb Raider was always one of the top rides I rode so it didnt really seem like a KI trip without it.

But I want it this weekend!!!

The Crypt will not be open Saturday for the private event and is questionable Sunday for opening day. The ride is doing very well, but due to some modifications and repairs, they're a little pressed for time in things such as training. Whenever it opens, that'll be one to check out... trust me. This is kind of depressing, it was the ride I was looking forward to the most.

So this exact ride was supposed to open in 3 parks and now its only going to open in 2?

They could theme a ride off of GTA San Andreas! Nah that one sucked, what if they themed it after GTA4?

Do you think the pictures you buy will have the new logo as well? Im sure they will I just always thought it was weird that behind me the sign says Kings Island then the actual picture says Paramount.

Do you think MIA will be getting a new map as well then?

Honestly I was having a discussion with someone the other day about the lack of amusment park rides themed around video games (esp now that tomb raider is gone, and that wasnt even really themed after the video game). So I think some type of video game character themed movie would be cool, like someone said before Halo?

Ive said it before on this forum and it still has to be SFMM. Despite being able to finally ride "X" this park seemed un-kept, trashy and just had a complete lack of enthusiem from all employees. NO one seemed to care about this park and it was rather sad to see amazing coasters like Scream just laying in the middle of a parking lot.

I really don't know how they are gonna get it done esp with the weather (it is in columbus). But i'll still be there opening day to take pics.

While I was there I saw a flying eagles like ride if that interests anyone.

Hey everyone I drove by the new Zoombezi Bay in Columbus Ohio today (formerly Wyandot Lake) and I took a few pictures. Its coming along pretty well although it looks like they still have A LOT left to do in the 6 weeks before they open! If you look carefully in the middle of the picture here you can see "Sea Dragon" pretty much the only thing that stayed from Wyandot Lake.

Woah I had no idea CP has gone through all those rides! Why are dark rides not built anymore I LOVE them, the new Batman Knight Coaster at the Six Flags parks looks awesome! If I didnt hate six flags I would go to ride it.

I rode it the first year it opened and I don't remember these effects at all! Ive never even heard the staircase thing and when did it use to have a fishtail effect?

So wait if you have a platinum pass you can get into the park 30 min early?

How do you get involved in this walkback thing and what exactly is it?

I dont know if there are that many people here that like MM but I just wanna say when I went last summer I was VERY disapointed. Yeah the coasters were awesome and first class rides but I just got the impression no one gave a crap about the park, it was dirty and just had a "blah" vibe about it. So no matter how many coasters are built unless they are kept up nicely and have a little bit better landscaping than parking lot lines i don't think it should be the roller coaster capital.

I am excited it may be my first ride of the day on the 20th.

Sadly the Big Dipper is not worth being moved and CF seems to have no desire to sell a small area of the park to ACE (the only one interested in buying the Big Dipper and keeping it on site). So it's prob gonna get demolished. Villian is the only one with a good chance of getting saved in my opinion.
