  1. Doh. Four across....standing.
  2. And there's no proof that a person isn't able to do something after their death. Congratulations, you've just supplied one of, if not THE weakest counterargument in history. Your only basis for saying that something exists is that nobody has proved that it doesn't. But you've done the exact same for your argument. It can go either way.
  3. Why does it exempt it? Doesn't it seem like the larger parks would actually require more inspection?

Hey, you should join the New Yorker! (See topic in Media)
  5. I said 12 but that was from my experience. I've always been mature for my age so I guess I'm under the false impression that everyone else should be. But realistically, probably 13-14. Those 1-2 years really make a difference in maturity.
  6. I'm in almost the exact same position. KC was my first looping coaster, which I rode with my mom, so that along with the memories of that day will forever be with me. I didn't really experience any pain from Mantis so I can't complain at all. In fact, it's one of my favorites. I definitely have to conclude B&M's. They're innovation and four across seating makes their standups more fun.
  7. I'm going to have to go with Shaggy here. Those were classic rides. Truly reminiscent of good times past.

    Totally awesome!
  10. I love how many people actually think these videos are real. I always get a laugh when there is a big fuss over video which is clearly fake. EDIT: Might as well post my KI haunt info. http://ghostpic.ytmnd.com/ That's pretty creepy. Especially the file size.
  11. Wow, I could really go for a brat. I'm signing myself up for a Terpyism.
  12. ^Heh. It's amazing how oblivious some people are!
  13. It won't have three loops. That was just a reporter who didn't understand roller coaster blueprints. The "loops" are helices or some variant of a helix.
  14. I wasn't going to say anything, but...uh...wow.
  15. Ugh. I guess no one's ever heard of choice.
  16. Did you just happen to miss the theming in the snake and booby trap tunnels. The volcano one I can understand because those lights burn out quickly and take some time to replace. Ive ridden AE many many times (atleast 3 times each visit) and i have never noticed any theming besides.. The stone arches, the last tunnel, on the first chain lift there are the masks, and a red lightbulb in the first tunnel. Next time you ride, take a good look at one of the tunnels on each of your usual 3 rides. The snake tunnel has snakes hanging from the walls and ceilings. They used to have an audio of hissing as you went through that tunnel, but it is so brief you hardly noticed. When it first opened there was a bell that rang on the outside of the tunnel next to a sign that read "Bridge Out" or something along those lines. Which fits into the audio theming in the station if you listen "Track 2 is no longer in use and has been abandoned," "...avoid the deep jungle route as it is now impassable" (Not sure if they still play the voice over the Indiana Jones theme). The second tunnel (booby trap) there are spears that shoot out of the walls as you go by. Unfortunately, they never got the timing down so either the spears are already out when the train rounds the turn, or they shoot out once you start up the lift so you miss them all together. Cool! I never knew. I remember some of the effects from the 90s but not everything. I miss the well done theming. It really added to the ride.
  17. I agree with Woofer. If there's a will there's a way. So what if one sponsor cancels? It kind of seems to me that CF didn't want to do this and was looking for an excuse.
  18. I would say yes since it's owned by Coke. My guess is as long as it's fountain then it counts. I may be wrong though.

Alright, I have the new pictures! Sorry it's taken so long. I've been up to my neck with band stuff lately. I'm glad to do this. Kelli has pictures and experiences that need to be shared! Looking forward to the next update!
  20. Ronny, I always look forward to your photo trip reports. These pictures were great. I particularly liked the first picture of River Runner. Great work! It looks like you guys had a great time. I've never been to Coney Island. It looks like I'll have to go some time.
  21. Caught me Terpy. Freudian slip indeed.
  22. I'm beginning to grow tired of guys trying to show how manly they are. It's called insecurity.
  23. I have yet to notice that but just the sound of it makes me angry.
  24. So far I'm impressed with what I've seen out of CF. All the events that have taken place have been a great method of drawing attention back to KI as a unique park, not just a park to ride rides and leave. The landscaping is quite impeccable. In fact, the park looks better than I've seen it for a long time. It now has character and a "welcome to our park" feeling. All in all, I'm glad we have CF, they will treat KI the way its creators intended. Long live CF!
  25. Absolutely! Every time you hit a good airtime hill you lose a child.
