Print out your voucher and go to season pass processing. They will take your picture and give you your pass.

BTW - for those who like a good deal on food, a trip back there is in order. At the cart next to the kids area with the tube slide they are selling the big hot dogs $2 each (with chips and 16 oz drink $4); and Italian Sausage with pepper and onions for $2.50 (well sign said $2, but they rang up $2.50) or with chips and drinks for $4.

Not sure if this was posted, but it was on the local news... http://www.whiotv.com/ap/ap/travel/ohio-theme-park-begins-taking-son-of-beast-apart/nSLBm/

Getting stuck on Kings Island roller coasters.
khaoskat replied to tuxedoman52's topic in Kings Island
Yesterday on Flying Ace was the first time I have ever gotten stopped on a coaster. Some person in Row 4 had their legs up on the setback in front of them. The Ride Op rated them out when he asked "Riders, how was your ride?" and I replied "Great till you stopped us on the lift hill" and he came back about how if people would obey rules in row 4 and keep their legs down. Thought it was rather funny...they got quickly off the ride and ran for the hills afterwards. -
I told one of the scaractors last year in CP's stuff that his breathing in my face scared me..and he commented back he had just eaten a breath mint!!!!!

I usually only see "fights" between parents and their kids in the Kiddie area about wanting to ride something and not being tall enough or too tall or mom and dad say "No". This is really the first year in a long while we have spent much of any time outside of the kids area. Last year we were out a bit, since my oldest wanted to ride a few coasters, but this year we split our time about 50/50.

Must not be a Football guy. I'd never go to a park on a Sunday during Football season. No, not really sports people for Football or Baseball. I do watch it at times, but it is not a do or die thing for me. Plus we are usually gone by 2 or 3 (depending upon park opening time), since we have two kids who nap usually in the afternoons. -

and the $$ they get from P&G will makeup for the loss of the passes. You are assuming it is P&G. I will check with a friend as they are employees of P&G and see when their KI event is. Actually he is not assuming, If you looked on Kings Island's park webcams during the day today, There was clearly a sign on the Eiffel Tower that said "P&G" I was under the impression he was saying 9/23 and 9/30 were sold out to P&G, not today. I know P&G does annual days as well as GE and Gay Pride Day. -

When did they sell out the park 2 additional Sundays

Due to the fact that the people we are bringing have to run a Martial Arts Competition on Saturday, going out that late on a Friday night with getting up around 6 am is not adviseable, and the last two years the competition and clean up have taken until about 8 or 9 pm on Saturday. Hence the reason Sunday was decided upon. Additionally, they are going for the rides, so we wanted to go when rides were generally not closed due to staffing issues. Yes, I understand it is something that they do (we have had passes for 10 years). But earlier (and I had a previous discussion about Friday vs Saturday on the boards), 9/23 was open all day. I also know that 9/30 was open because we looked at when we could make our annual fall trip to CP around 2 other marital arts competitions. But it is frustrating that they had been advertising as open those days, and now they have sold out the park and will be closed to the general public after advertising all summer otherwise. -
When did they sell out the park 2 additional Sundays
khaoskat replied to khaoskat's topic in Kings Island
Oh and we spend more money in the park at KI then we do going to CP (reason being the expense of going --- $300 for hotel; $150 for gas, leaves no money to spend in the park!!!!). -

Yea, but if they keep this up, we wont renew for next year. Our park days are Sundays because it is the only day we don't have things to do on. We had plans for a friend and his daughter to go with us on 9/23 and it was the only day available. When I checked a few weeks both Sundays were open. KI keeps this up, it will start loosing customers. We have hardly gone this year, and it makes spending almost $1,000 for tickets not worth it for us any longer. -
I was just checking the schedule on my phone and noticed the park is now closed on 9/23 and 9/30 for private events. If so, that really sucks and looks like we will be going to Cedar Point more often this fall.

Cedar Point Halloweekends
khaoskat replied to KILove's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Um...the lines actually move fairly well for the Haunted attractions. We went through BB on a late Oct. Sat. night and it was maybe a five minute or less wait. It was closer to the end of the night though. On a Sunday we went through one of the inside attractions by the kids area, and it took maybe 10 minutes in line right around opening. -
Umm...I have 4 kids...so I know the areas well... But, IMHO, the walk from PS to SC is not really any farther than the walk from PS to the train. And if your kids cannot handle all the walking, maybe should reconsider taking them to an amusement park, since it is a lot of walking period...wonder how they would handle all the walking to/between all the different kids areas at Cedar Point.
-
Umm..just an FYI, unless you purchase your pass at the park, you cannot use the discount off season pass for next year. You cannot renew on-line, nor can you take advantage of the payment plan option either. (This was confirmed by KI on their Facebook page right about the time they announced the prices and sale date for next year.)

We went down Saturday night (got there about 7:30) to let the older two not be hampered by the younger sister who is not tall enough for anything outside kids area. We did 7 slices of pizza, 5 cones, 1 drink refill, 1 Vortex ride photo (2nd child's first time riding), 2 bags cotton candy, 1 popcorn tub refill, 5 Coneys. Most expensive purchase was The Vortex stuff at $11.05 (big photo and snow globe).

Yea I know they are not putting out details, as I am planning a trip for a tri-state Sci Fi club trip to KI in October, and it is been hard to do more than select a date because I cannot give details about Fast Passes, Haunt attractions, ticket prices or anything. And I have read the stuff on their page about the kids stuff in Soak City and it just sounds like a repeat of previous years, but yet again in a new location....I just hope CP doesn't change their kids stuff, my kids love toe Boo Hill and the candy at the end...would hate to have to pay to go through the Dino's ... again!!!

I have not been to Haunt in over 8 years...and we have friends who want to go to King's Island. They are going for the purpose of riding rides, not necessarily the haunted attractions. That being said..they are look at the weekend of the 21st, either Friday or Sunday. Saturday is out because they have an event they have to be at at like 8 am till about 6 pm. How are rides typically and what generally is closed, from past experience on Friday nights. I know no one can predict 100%, but I know after so many years, that there is some general things. Everyone will be driving from Dayton and then back. Would you recommend Friday vs Sunday or Sunday vs Friday. I know Sunday is more of a kids day and the kids area is fuller because of it. Thanks,

Last year's passes I believe were about $150 if you renewed in the Fall. If you renews in their Buy Now Pay Later, I think they were around $160. Then once season started they were about $170-$180. No clue how that will bear on next years Platinum Passes. I think Gold passes were like $69 during the Fall; and thereafter about $100.

Medford - What is your total visit count? I am thinking, based upon my last two visits, that visits are about 12.5% of each level per visit.
-
I think you are right because I got to level 3 last sunday and I only spent $10 in the park, but I am somehow at 50.00% exactly moving towards a 4 star. So I do think the program starts you out at 50% starting at level 3 (atleast that had been my experience so far) to give you the perceived notion that you are closer to the tagert than you really are. Thus making you spend more in the park... CF and those sneaky tricks... tisk tisk Not so, I moved Monday from Level 2 to Level 3. I am at 1.25% of the way to level 4. Based upon what I am seeing, I would GUESS that 50% of each level is based upon visits and the other 50% is based upon money spent. When I went into the park on Monday I was at 85.5%. After my visit logged, without spending money, I was at 98%. That was also my 8th visit for the season. I am sure that if we would put purchases on the kids cards, that once they reach Level 2, they would be 37.5% for the two boys and 50% for my daughter, away from being Level 3. I think to get from Level 3 to Level 4, you will need about 12 visits in the park. Spending wise..no clue. If I remember correctly from some previous threads, it was about $80 for Level 1, I think we have spent about $160 to $200 (total), so I would say about $250-$300 (total) at least.
-
The park itself has, through its official spokesperson, said the program is not that simple. I was the one who thought it would take 10 visits, because my kids have 5 visits and were at 50% each, with no money spent. I was wrong...
-
Actually, I am beginning to wonder if they don't credit the large purchases sometimes. When I went in I was 85.5% away from level 3. After it recording my visit I was at 98% (So, I figure that we need 4 visits to move to each level -- visits equate to 50% of what is needed, and each visits is apx. 12.5% -- AGAIN HYPOTHESIS based upon visit today and last time, both got about 12.5% increase in level). Now, I figured when I purchased $27 worth of food, I would get bumped up to next level (considering last visit, I spent like either 4.24 or 2.12 and got a 3.5% increase). Nope, not even moved me up from 98%. As we were leaving, several hours later, I was still at 98%. I purchased my traditional 4.24 popcorn and cotton candy refill -- guess what.. a 3.5% increase and I was level 3 now..with 1.25% on the way to next level. So, I wonder if some purchase are just not getting into the system properly....my receipt has a fun perks transaction number on it...but it appears it didn't get counted.
