Probably Flight of Fear Version 2.....god knows I have to have the lab bars......Or maybe TR:TR.....but it would have to be fixed up, so I could run it all the time.

Yeah...I would have to say that it is a shame he is no longer doing shaggy.....but I think that Green Slime and Skittles go very good together. -
Dare I Say There's Another Legal Topic to Discuss?
Shman replied to gabelogan99's topic in Kings Island
I don't see any reason that Audio taping would be illegal. Just make sure that the recorder is tightly secured so that it doesn't fall out during any rides. The only thing that I would see being illegal would be taping the live shows...for copyright reasons.....but i know that that is not illegal. I say feel free to do some audio taping. -
Does anyone know if the Light in TR:TR has been fixed. I mentioned it to the guys who take care of it....but I don't know if they have gotten out there to work on it or not.

Yeah....I was wondering the same thing about those pics. I knew those weren't our characters. Yes Shaggy and Velma are still live characters, they have a meet and greet area with Scooby and the mystery machine right in front of the old Enchanted Theater enterance arch. -
Yeah....C. always seems to be around. Actually he was a only a character manager for a few months.....then he went back to security. I saw him inside the park this past weekend......but you are right he was wearing a manager uniform and not the security outfit.

Hey guys.....just to let you know that I will mention the problem with TR:TR tri-light to the tech services personel. Hopefully they will be able to re-aim the light the next time they go out there.

I definatly agree that the stage needs some work..BUT just so you know both of those concerts you are talking about were performed on-top of specially designed Dance Floors that the groups bring with them.......So you can't really blame that on the T-Wolf stage, you actually have to contribute that to the fact that they are dancing on a floor that goes along on the tour with them...and gets pretty dirty throughout the course of the tour. Trust me some of the sets and stuff for those concerts are in really bad shape just from being hauled in trucks and setup and torn down every day....even though you can't see it from the audience.

Thanks for all the replies, it sounds like I should be fine then. I can ride TR:TR, but I have some problems with restraints for DZ...thats why I asked. Too bad I couldn't ride this weekend when they were letting rides employees on it. Oh, well...soon enough

We all know the height restrictions and stuff for Delirium. And we know that the ride is going to kick major butt.... But can anyone who was at the photo shoot...or rode it on a training day tell us how the seats fit?? How tight are they?? Being that it is a Huss ride are they about the same size as TR:TR.....or are they more along the tightness of Drop Zone????

Calm down buddy.....anyways I think that part of my post ways read the wrong way. As you will note I stated that I was not sure if both screens were replaced, but said that the one for the 3D side was definatly changed. I do not know if the screen change has anything to do with the 3D effect or not (My guess is that it might) As well as the fact that I do not know about showing older movies on these screens (You might be able to) TI never said that DOT could NEVER be brought back....I just speculated that it may not be possible to change the format back. But maybe it is....I don't know if the screens play that big of a roll in the whole process or not.
-
While it is true that I am not certain about the projector set-up I am DEFINATE that the screen was changed (if not both, at least the one on the 3D side) I know for a fact because I know somebody who helped to with both the removal and installation of the screens a few years ago.
-
Too be honest with you I am not too sure that they could even bring back the original Day of Thunder movie. If I remember correctly when they switched to the 3D movies they had to bring in a new type of screen and I think they have a new projection system....So I am not sure if the new stuff can handle the original format anymore. Although I would agree with you, DOT was definatly alot better than some of the stuff we have had since then.

Hey R_O_Y did you get to walk around the park at all??? If so did you see the new facade to Scooby, does it look nice?? Also did you get to see the backporch stage...I know that there has been speculation that it was expanded. Do the new characters look nice???

SML is right. There were alot of major changes that took place iat Corporate near the end of last season, which resulted in PKI doing all of the shows for themselves...instead of recieving packaged shows from PPD&E. Yes there won't be too many shows untill the summer...but that is the busiest time of the year anyways. Most of pre-season the shows are performed for audiences of no more than 20 or so people, so I think this year they decided not to hire on all the performers so early. Backporch does seem like a very small space to do Young Country, especially since I have heard that there may be 6-8 singers. But I have also heard that they may have done some work to that stage (I don't know if that is fact or not). SML----Yes I am almost definate that are paths have crossed many of times...I'll PM you....I am pretty sure that you are who I think you are.

Just to get this back on topic they have been doing alot of work on SOB this winter and I think we will all be in for a surprise (Cross-fingers) Anyways....an inside source has said that SOB's trains recieved alot of work this winter and they will sport new lap bars and that the floor boards that were added (last year??) have been removed. Hopefully this means that we can look forward to some non-knee bashing rides this year. Also there has been a lot of track work done...supposedly alot on the back double helix.

Yeah the magic show will be in the summer only (June-September) Karaoke will be pre-season only (April-May). The Nick show will be both pre & full season (April-September) And the other 3: VIBE, PULSE, and YOUNG COUNTRY will be summer only (June-late August). Also I think that both Karaoke and the Nick show may return for the post season, but as of right now they are all scheduled to end in September.

Hey SML & ROY...I also work in the ent. for about 5 years now, but I am new to this board. Anyways I just wanted to add me 2 cents to this topic. Spellbound say "Live from Las Vegas" because the producer of the show actually produced some of the vegas stage shows, also the magicians of the show The Majextics have also performed in Vegas, if I am not mistaken. Also Pulse will be on the bandstand during the summer, Karaoke is only going to be done during pre-season. VIBE should be cool, but I have my worries (I have yet to hear what songs will be in it), I believe the Nicktoons meet and greet are still happening in Nick Central, the last I heard the only character to use the new facilities will be Scooby. Also you are correct SML, the singers from VIBE will be the singers for Young Country, and the dancers from VIBE will be the dancers for PULSE (Stomp style show). See you all in a couple of weeks.
