  1. Yes...and going down the hill he was standing up too. But then again, look at how he turned out as an adult...LOL edit: btw in the first video.... Johnny Bench takes their drink orders at the pool... Also notice in the second video, there is no cage roof on the upper level of the Eifel Tower.
  2. I searched the site and I was quite surprised that the Partridge Family wasn't anywhere to be found.....so here they are...
  3. Will you all come on in? Gather round. There is no death. There is only a transition to a different sphere of consciousness. Banshee is not like those she's with. She is a living presence in their spiritual earthbound plain. They are attracted to the one thing about her that is different from themselves - her life-force. It is very strong. It gives off its own illumination. It is a light that implies life and memory of love and home and earthly pleasures, something they desperately desire but can't have anymore. Right now, she's the closest thing to that, and that is a terrible distraction from the real LIGHT that has finally come for them. You understand me? These souls, who for whatever reason are not at rest, are also not aware that they have passed on. They're not part of consciousness as we know it. They linger in a perpetual dream-state, a nightmare from which they can not awake. Inside the spectral light is salvation, a window to the next plain. They must pass through this membrane where friends are waiting to guide them to new destinies. Banshee must help them cross over, and she will only hear her mother's voice. Now hold on to yourselves. There's one more thing. A terrible presence is in there with her. So much rage, so much betrayal, I've never sensed anything like it. I don't know what hovers over this park, but it was strong enough to punch a hole into this world and take your S.O.B away from you. It keeps Banshee very close to it and away from the spectral light. It LIES to her, it tells her things only a child could understand. It has been using her to restrain the others. To her, it simply IS another child. To us.... it is The Beast. Now, let's go get your coaster.
  4. ^^ The very least that they could do is respond with an email that states something like: "We appreciate your concerns and are looking into the examples you have mentioned in your email. As a valued customer, we take your concerns seriously, because you are what makes our park Kings Island. We have many future plans for exciting attractions for guests of all ages, including your family and we plan to restore areas of the park, creating a more immersive family experience. In the meantime, please visit our park next year as we unveil Banshee, along with more park improvements. We hope that your future visits will be entertaining, fun, and memorable experiences that will last a lifetime."
  5. I could not agree more!!! I think something along the lines of "Extraterrorestrial Alien Encounter" would be a simple and effective concept for a haunted house.....lights out, total darkness, whispers in your ears and warm breath on the back of your neck... For those not familiar, here is a two part video. Imagine a different theme....such as a séance...
  6. I think that oops is also on Alpengeist just before the mcbr. It's like the entire train flips the right side up and everyone clicks their heels before the breaks apply....LOL
  7. It's "Goodbye Coney Island Goodbye", the holy grail (sp) of Coney Island books. It's out of print. You might check with some collector.... you can probably still find it at the public library... or borrow from the Library of Congress. Edit: I sent you a PM
  8. Not only is it poor grammar, it was released to the world by the AP. "Hey you guys!" should have been placed at the beginning of the original sentence, to fit the demographics....LOL
  9. You're nowhere near qualified to make operating decisions at Six Flags, Cedar Fair, or any amusement park. What are the qualifications?
  10. More nauseating than Trabant??? A Wipeout perhaps? At least you can face whomever you are puking on...
  11. ^^ Great find!!! That is so cool! Thanks for posting!!!
  12. Darn again.....Oh well, I guess I'll have to go back to Disneyland!
  13. As I understand it, Dinosaur at AK is WDW's answer to Indiana Jones. Darn it...It's a fun ride but it's not even close to Temple of Doom. There was a rumor floating around a couple of years ago about a Monster's University coaster ride based on the dream doors....now that would be fun!!! Have you heard anything about that?
  14. One of my favorite rides at Disneyland is Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom....do you think Disney world will ever get this attraction, and if so which park would be most appropriate for the attraction?
  15. The front gate looks like the back of an office building...they need to open up the area and incorporate the old tram plaza with more trees and maybe a few shops around the circle. I think it would look beautiful open in this way, similar to SeaWorld Orlando. the outside shops are always a last minute sell by the park and it works. Plus opening up the area to view the fountain from outside would be so inviting to visitors....they won't want to wait to get inside.
  16. Shoot...I feel like crying about it and I've never been there... I remember Teddy Bear at Coney Island, (rode that with Mom and my sisters) Shooting Star, (my sister and her friend...they were told not to, but they did anyway....and I'm glad they did.) Same with Lost River and the Haunted House....all gone....snif snif sigh....
  17. I'd love to see a ride there....Rivertown is in desperate need of flat rides...it was mentioned that a haunted swing ride could go in there and it would seem appropriate....
  18. I've seen you before many times....2nd degree of thedevariouseffect, and only four more degrees of Kevin Bacon!
  19. If I may ask, what are your best memories of Rolling Thunder?...is it something that you shared with someone else? My dad and I only rode one rollercoaster together in his entire life and since he has passed, I will forever remember our one and only ride together on Space Mountain at Disneyland....and that will be a must attend event if it is ever retired someday.
  20. Way back when there was a separate entrance and season pass holders had to enter through that gate....problem was regular ticket holders had to go through the main entrance. In order for my sister and I (pass holders) to take my nieces (ticket holders) into the park we had to do a kid swap.....one of use went through the passholder entrance back to main ticketing and dropped off the girls....then the other had to go through the passholder entrance to meet up.....10 minute entry time to get everyone together.
  21. The radiant heat from the black top on a cold night, oddly enough, is rather comforting.... As far as the front gate is concerned, I would love to see an open plaza with fountains, water features with shade trees and entry gates similar to Disney with very minimal obstruction of view of International street. It would be nice to have the "International" back into the shops on the street with products and foods from around the world too....and Jungle Jim's could sponsor, if they were so inclined....
  22. They can combine the two- make a Starlight Garden. What a unique idea!!! They could take it one step further and serve beverages and light snacks at night to make it a romantic point with ambient music or a live band near a working waterfalls (make it work Mr Ouimet!). Many couples started relationships at Coney's moonlight gardens dancing under the stars...
  23. I wonder why? Is it a franchise rule? Personally, I'd like to see refill "stations" throughout the park for the convenience of the cup customers.
  24. I think it's a little of both since things are in flux within the family. They are hedging their bet on a smaller, cheaper attraction to satisfy their customers, and having blind faith that customers will choose them for their travel destination. KK will pull customers the first year, but since a big chunk of the park will probably not be operable when/if it reopens, some customers will opt to go to Holiday world instead after their KK curiosity is fulfilled...I'm sure KI will pull some of those customers too if they venture to drive that far. I'm hoping that the economy turns around so that travel is not so expensive. I for one, will most likely hit all three parks at least once next year, if I don't have to get an extended loan to afford the gas...
  25. This is fantastic news! This is a small family park (let's hope it stays that way). Ride like this are great additions for a park the size of Holiday World. I've only been there once, but I was totally impressed with the atmosphere. I felt like I was part of the family...plus the free drinks and sunscreen....and good times...what else could you ask for???
