I was there Sat and Sun...yes an area was coned off in the parking lot before row 15, north. It had tents, dumpsters, port-o-potties and chalk drawings everywhere....my guess is that this was part of KI FOR THE CURE events.

I also remember seeing a sign right at the entrance to the ride construction (when it was Adventure Village) that called it Swoops, although the sign could have said something like "See what Swoops in next year...." I thought it was an odd name.

Thanks Shaggy! Great response. Wow....can you imagine if Americana had taken the risk to build this coaster? I bet it would have generated enough money to stay open.

Is it true that Thunder Run was originally designed for LeSordesville Lake/Americana amusement park? I had heard that it was supposed to go there just before the park closed.

I've thought along those lines and a tunnel coming out in the old water tower location would be cool. Problem is there are footers going in that direction now. If it were going to be a tunnel, those footers would have to be underground not at or above ground level. They would have nothing over there now, or be digging a trench in that direction and laying out the bottom of the trench with concrete and/or footers. Actually, when you are at ground level with the footers, they dead end right into the Ice Scream Zone building....therefore.....is the Ice Scream Zone coming down later for the coaster???

In picture 033 with the "Guardian" standing on the footer....there are three flags. Can anyone with construction experience explain the significance of the orange, pink and blue flags? I've seen plenty of orange, but never pink or blue!

Ok got it.....jeesh wasted a few pages here..... Here goes another try....

On the photo page on Flickr, click on the box with the arrow above your username/photostream. Then click "Grab the HTML/BBCode", select the BBCode option at the bottom of the pop-up, select the size you want from the drop-down box, then copy the code in the text box and paste it into KIC. I pasted the HTML/BBCode into the media file and it converts it to a link. When I save it looks like the image, but when it gets to the site it converts.

I'm done....sorry guys it's not working for me tonight...Unless..... someone can access the flash file that I submitted several posts above, and pull the pictures out for everyone to see...you are welcome to do so!!! (hint hint)!

I'll figure this out somehow!
