There was a sign there the year before Drop Tower was installed that said something like Dropping in next year. Kind of like the one that was on the tower before the installation.

Could be, after all it is a cartoon drawing... it’s just wishful thinking on my part. I guess I’m just hoping for more than Mac and barb... lol

Oddly enough, even though that building was on the 2017 map, I wonder why it is one of the only buildings on the 2017 map that doesn’t look similar to the current building like the other drawings do. Do you suppose it was a plan that never materialized? Also for some reason it looks very similar to a building Designed for Cedar Point to me. It would be interesting to see it actually pop up this year.

You’re right. Just proves I never look at the maps anyway... lol

Now this brings up the question.... which one could be for a restaurant and which one for a shop? Or are our guesses off course all together? Things that make you go hmmmm...

Maybe it’s storage for the “Coney Barb-a-Roni” Restaurant” project.

It was super delicious at Winterfest.

Bacon is good on Mac too... lol

It could be both... when you enter, go left for barbecue... go right for Mac bar....

So, unless Don was only wanting to know what to have for dinner on 2/21, what could his post possibly mean? Do you think a sit down table service Outback Restaurant might be coming to Coney Mall?
-
All joking aside, a Blooming Onion would be a welcome addition to the food line up.

Hmmm .... El Toro coaster or a Flying Coaster?

Unless... they are taking a page from the distant past and not saying anything, because there is more to it than what we are ecpecting it to be. In the beginning... there wasn’t social media and news travelled a lot more slowly. Sometimes we wouldn’t have a clue about what the new attraction was until opening day. Personally, I can’t imagine a new food venue would increase season pass sales, but they know what they are doing, and I’m sure whatever it is will be a fantastic new addition!

after the last bunny hop you were in the break run but there wasn’t walls around you.... if we were racing friends we could look across and see the other train. I have no idea why walls were needed except for maybe weather purposes. Perhaps to prevent riders from getting drenched while waiting to get into the station.

I’m still kind of surprised that KI hasn’t announced or hinted at the new “thing” in Coney Mall. Other parks have announced their line up. I know they will when it is advantageous to them but it’s practically a new season already. The suspense is killing me!

SFMM adding another tier to Gold Pass
upstop replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I would be happy with a Gold Pass/Platinum Pass Club House where I could sit in peace and quiet and enjoy some downtime during the day. Busch had one at SeaWorld and it was such a blessing. You had to show your Pass to an attendant to be “buzzed” in to the lounge. They took our order with table service. It was cool, quiet and a place to unwind. -
How about something like SubTerra at Alton Towers that could tie into Mystic Timbers? However it would fit better in X-Base.
-
... a gourmet Mac and cheese bar.... interesting.

You know it’s offseason when you’re busy and the tv mentions the words “amusement park” and you rush to the tv to see what they are talking about...
-
That would be perfect and wouldn’t clash with the Eiffel Tower and IStreet like BLSCs fake parking garage does. You have my vote on this idea!
-
Sure! Why not?

I would Facade the building into a mountain. Extend the building to the edge of the woods. Put three flats in the extended building with exits that allow you to choose between the three rides (ride one or all three) and call it Mystic Mountain. Theme a legend of the mountain to a cohesive theme to include the other rides in Rivertown. My choice of flats would include a Tilt-a-Whirl, Rotor, and a Matterhorn or Himalaya type ride. I would Leave some extra space to expand the mountain (building) in the future.
