The beach has Beach Mountain tubing, but I think they have given up on a Holiday event... who knows. Maybe they will in have another holiday event in the future. edit: just went to their site. (Beach Mountain) and apparently they have/had 100,000 Christmas lights on display during the season.

Truthfully, I'm not sure soda fountains would function outdoors in 25 degree weather. Maybe there will be a hot drink selection.... cocoa, coffee, spiced apple cider etc. i hope that there will some special food treats too.

All of the unadulterated banter detracts from the ride experience in my opinion. I'd rather just sit down quietly and dispatch. After hearing the "noise" for about an hour throughout the park is tedious. Why not go with pre recorded messages that are geared towards the attraction? Back in the day, the FOF had a mysterious woman's voice that announced To secure items etc. I haven't been on the ride in years. But it was to the point and we didn't have to endure crackly loud speakers and stand up comedy. The one thing that I give to Disney is dispatch time. You are in, seated, and on your way... no fuss, no muss.

I heard that the all season meal plan and drink plan will also work at Winterfest. Has this been listed or does anyone here know if this is true? (I know... A certain someone would now insert "someone knows" here)

Hmmmm. I heard Spoonful of Sugar by Mary Poppins in the MT queue line. That kind of broke the suspension of disbelief a touch.

Actually Disney has their Queue50, lol. There is a video somewhere where two guests get into a verbal and physical confrontation and the attendant separates them, but a man who appears to be another guest intervenes. The woman tells him to butt out and he clearly states, "I work here ma'am" . It's like they have plain clothes security wandering the park and queue lines.....I'd apply for that job, wouldn't you?

Great picture! That's actually the station for the Shawnee Landing canoe ride. The station was approximately where the entry to The Beast is currently located.

Got my first ride today. The ride iteself is fantastic, fast and furious! I loved it! I was a bit confused with the shed. I wasn't sure what it was meant to be or mean. I was expecting vines and overgrowth but saw a... not sure what it was. I think it was a Bat. Not sure how it fit in with the theme, except maybe it's a play on The Bat roller coasters history, maybe from disturbing the mysterious woods in some way. edit: at one time Kings Island was promoted as being the "only place on earth where you can find Beasts, Bats and Demons" (Screamin Demon)

Beyond crowded... didn't ride anything, spent an hour at the gate and 45 minutes to get a Coke (worse than dollar days)...waits too long. got a stress headache, the first in many years. Have fun y'all.... I'm out a here.

I suppose the line will start somewhere near RFYLCB or near Surf Dog, or Boo Blasters or near Larosa's, on IStreet..... or just beyond the entry turnstiles. Any guesses? Maybe it will wrap around Lake Diamondback like Diamondback's opening day line did once upon a time.... lol

I believe that is it. If you look at the inset in the top left you'll see the piano player that was in the gallery building. Rivertown had one too that opened around the time The Beast opened. At one time there was a shooting gallery right where Diamondbacks queue line is next to the Reds Grill. I think one would fit in back by The Beast queue. Maybe Mystic Timbers will have a motion sensitive shooting gallery in the shed? Chop chop?

Yes! Actually, there was one right where the Jukebox Diner's patio is located.

From what was shown in the video, I'm hoping the same guys are hired to referb AE and BBOBH as well.

Ahh. But the area is still incomplete. I think every Rivertown along the river has a ghost story.... and KI needs a thrilling haunted mansion... and the big brown box would be the perfect place to put one.

What I would like to see is for Boo Blasters to be converted into a virtual realty ride for HH only. They could easily slow down the vehicles to lengthen the attraction (but not too slow) and the "ghosts" could be more frightening and startling than other attractions. Maybe it could follow a "paranormal activity " type theme or a haunted castle theme. Maybe it could be a random theme or maybe even change based on what the rider wants to experience.
