^in the original concept, they sold local arts and crafts and special Christmas decorations, along with Kings Island products. They had wood working, sculptures and blown glass decorations. They also sold holiday foods, gingerbread, hot chocolate and candies, and more. I'm looking forwards to the train ride. Hopefully the woods will be decorated with scenes and lights. I did like the Paramount version for their light shows. It was something different to experience and very fun! They will hopefully have a toy store that sells some traditional toys, I'm sure there will be something nice and unique to buy while there! I'm going to have to find my winter scarf that I bought at the 2005 version that reads, "this is as merry as I get".... Tehehe!

It might come back on a smaller scale and expand later, but I'm sure it will be a fun and exciting experience. I don't care that I have to wait a year, I'm just happy it's coming back!!!

With all of the trees on I Street I'm hoping for a great light display! Maybe there will be textured lighting throughout the park! Someone mentioned earlier an overlay for Boo Blasters... What a fantastic idea! I think it could be done cheaply and easily with Santa hats on the characters and strings of holiday lights. Then the soundtrack could easily be switched over to something festive! I'm so excited about the prospect! And since they have a year to prep, they could be working on additions to come later.

I remember my first ride. It was spring 1979. I rode it with my cousin Keith, God rest his soul, we rode somewhere near the middle of the train and I remember how our anticipation increased until we were sitting in our seat with the buzz bar pulled down. Then as it crest the hill I was terrified and Keith was whooping it up. I got that rush of adrenaline and about halfway down a second rush with a bit of terror...lol. The train flew into the shelter brake run and I remember the sound o squealing tires to slow us down but It seemed to go straight through and faster and faster. Then we went roaring through two quick back to back tunnels then a run away down hill to the second lift. My cousin was going ape crazy while I was thinking " oh no, there's more". There were skid brakes along the second drop and I distinctly remember slowing two or three times as we went down and about halfway down the brakes ended and took off like a bullet into the double helix. As we went into the final brake run my, cousin was ecstatic! I was shaken up... And then I got the question... "Want to do it again?" I was hooked and have been ever since.
