Loved it. I went several times that year and I would do it again. The lights , the atmosphere, just a different kind of fun all around.

It could be anything at this point. I'm with you... I think it's a July announcement. -

Wonder if this has something to do with the train ride or the construction zone... https://instagram.com/p/BHur6GNh8xI/ https://instagram.com/p/BHvCkFGhP_A/ -

The "footers" behind the train barn, across the tracks on the left approaching Soak City, and near the fort held giant Christmas cards for the last incarnation of Winterfest.... I'll be home for Christmas was the theme. It was a really cool and unique show with singing and actors getting on and off of the train to go "home" for the holidays. -

When riding The Racer, it appears that the contents of the haunt and other stuff has been gutted from the Action Theater into the waiting area of the old Sponge Bob, etc ride (I can't be for sure because it all flies by pretty fast). Something is going on back there for sure. Maybe the wood has something to do with creation of floors and partitions in the haunt building.... Heck it may even be wood used for floors and partitions in the big metal box. I just don't see the wood coming for Project Axe before anything is ready for a coaster build. Plus, what are the odds that the driver of the semi just stopped by for a Kings Island fix before heading on to somewhere else? -

This could be wood for the Action Theater project. -

Just one question..... If this is for project 2017, why deliver wood when not a single foundation or footer has been poured? Seems a bit early to me. -

I believe that all of the i-beams are for the retainer wall being built alongside the pond. This new construction appears to me to be a path/road for heavier crane equipment to be brought closer to the woods. -
The Clipper Coaster in the beginning of the video looks just like something GCI would build. I'd love to see the Shooting Star name come back to the park, and even the wonderful signage from the station... The rotating star and stardust banner. The park used the Shooting Star signage for the old Haley's Comet ride in Coney Mall when the park opened.. Great memories!

Hoping to go later after the storms roll through. -
As I stated long ago, Haunt (Fearfest) was a haunt attraction that took place in an amusement park ( no rides in operation the first couple of weekends) and has morphed into a night at the amusement park that happens to have some haunt decorations. It's an ok event, but could be way, way more inventive.

Captain Thrillbeard... Will you spray them if they scream the following:

Mainly to prevent folks from I'm imbibing alcoholic beverages and returning to the park intoxicated, at least that's what I've been told. Edit: beaten to the spiked punch again! Lol!

Buy a pair of rubber thongs, switch into them and put your shoes in a water proof bag or locker, sit up straight, hold on tight and enjoy the ride! -

Just saw them. The drill is just sitting there waiting next to the beams. There is plenty of leveling going on beside the pond. -

Looks like a pile-driver to me. Is that by the pond? I see the drill but I think that comes first before the pile is driven. -

I believe the steel is for a retaining wall to be built along the pond for a heavy equipment access road. Which brings up another thought. Do any of you understand what the "zones" on the blueprints are? I've seen lots of blueprints, but never any broken down into zones before. I find it particularly interesting that there are zones 1a, 1b, and 1c then zone 2 and 3.... Unless they will be working on the ride in a particular order I can't figure out for the life of my why they would break it into zones. One possibility is blocking but this ride seems too short to have more than two trains. -

Rather than a footer, it looks like a concrete drainage cover to me.
