Decoding Episode II: Rivertown 2017 and the Falling Trees
upstop replied to jcgoble3's topic in Kings Island
@DubVLegend - great pictures! To answer your last question those "stumps " near the "Inn" have always been there. They conceal either electrical outlets or light housing from the original train ride show. -

I'm just hoping for another flashy nighttime announcement for something supernatural.... All ghosty and such. -

Maybe the ride will be named Tomahawk - then that kills two birds with one stone - a unique new name and the obligatory CF Hawk addendum.... -

The train spieler reminded me of Glinda the Good Witch.... Coincidence? -

Ah yes... But there is more than that twine on the one Don is holding in the video. I'll find the link and BRB. Edit: here is the link http://m.wlwt.com/news/kings-island-hints-at-new-ride-for-2017-peek-at-the-foundation-plans/40275856 Look closely at the axe.... Sasquatch hair? Or what? -

Just wanted to point out that during the WLWT interview, Don tells the news reporter when asked about the axe in his hand "something is going down in RiverTown and you will definitely need this axe". Not only does the axe he is carrying have the tag on it as sent to the news reporters, but it has something else wrapped around the head and handle. It looks to me to be long hair or strands of twine... Anyone else see it? -

I only hope to be riding coasters at 83. Very sad news indeed. -

Oh I'm sure it has nothing to do with the box, but maybe his statement which was so random and unusual that it might apply maybe just a smidgeon to this attraction. -

Unless..... There are plans to rename the amphitheater. Then Timberwolf could be reused as a coaster name. Way back in the beginning more than 100 pages ago, Greg Scheid said something interesting.... Wish I could recall ... It dealt with thinking out of the box, and I wonder if it applies to this new attraction somehow. -

I try to tune out the comedy skits on the train but it's hard when it's so loud. "I tell ya.... I get no respect" http://images.hngn.com/data/images/full/15882/rodney-dangerfield.jpg -

Don has said twice now " over the river and through the woods to the train house you will go". And the song actually goes to grandmothers house.... And Little Red Riding hood went over the river and through the woods... Grandma was eaten by the Big Bad Wolf.... And the wolf was killed by a Woodsman with an axe.... And blah blah blah... -

Timberbeast: a wild and unruly logger. (Found in the lumberjack encyclopedia but way too close in name to another Beast) -
"Protein spill". Never heard that one before. Love it. Most definitely better than a protein extrusion.

It must be true! Here is video proof! Dragged this out of the mothballs, but it's as funny now as it was then, and it kind of fits the theming for Rivertown. -

^Yes gave Guest Relations all the details, location, color, address, etc.... and I've called them every day but no luck so far. I expect it will never be "found". Heck it survived 40 feet to the gravel below and sent signals till the battery died. If the screen didn't shatter, I'm sure it will end up on Ebay some day. Other than that, the coaster was great and I'm hoping the mystery coaster at KI ends up being an RMC! -

Yes... And the finder located the phone under the first inversion after the airtime hill. My guess... The twisting drop opened the pocket, then the airtime hill popped it out and the inversion dumped it..... Then the pocket magically resealed. Lesson learned the hard way. And it won't happen again. -
I think they should put in set of concrete prints near the entrance, kind of like Grauman's Chinese Theater.
