jackson, i don't believe that your reason for us Son of Beast lovers being lighter is true. insted the reason, or at least mine, is because it doesn't mater what we say some (not all) Son of Beast haters take it and go on a giant rampage like the tazmanian devil and tear a thread apart with all of the "Son of Beast isn't safe" and "Son of Beast needs to be burned down", sometimes when we say something about Son of Beast some Son of Beast haters act just like those same park guest that we all get annoyed with in the park that no mater how hard you try to tell them something they just reject it and feel the need to keep on pointing a "fact" out even though you know that it isn't, but it doesn't matter what you know, it's what the people hear (i.e. the press that are taking quotes from here saying they are fact) that they believe. coaster_junky, who still doesn't understand how he can have so many enjoyable rides on Son of Beast, and haters come off feeling like they have been trampled by an elephant. [/confusing rant]

for me, the only rides that give me a true thrill are drop rides and launched coasters (except maverick), expecially the drop rides, i love it when you know how long you stay at the top and the feeling you get when you count at the top too fast and your like, "oh god how are they going to get us down from here now", but maybe i'm the only one like that.

Diamondback Front, Back, or Middle?

if it is a pattern, could you please point it out to Kings Island so another one of these accidents doesn't happen?
-
i could have had a night ride on Diamondback durning the fireworks, but the crew stopped the ride and sent through and empty train, but it was kinda neat seeing the reflection of the fireworks in the splashdown pool.

Which HAUNT do you think would be the most fun to work at?
coaster_junky replied to kjkjkj's topic in KI Polls
^where are you going to be in urgent scare or do they not tell you what area of the maze you're working in? if so i will try to look for you this year, that is if my sister doesn't go, and pretty much shove me through the mazes. we honesty got threw urgent scare in about ten minutes because of her. -
^expecially when they have already re-designed Cedar Point's since they bought the paramount parks.

most valuble thing you ever lost at kings island and on what ride
coaster_junky replied to israel09's topic in Kings Island
did you go to lost and found and ask if they had found it durring the morning walkbacks? -
the first movie i remember seeing at action theater was smash factory, i thought it was hilarious when you would smack through the cardboard cutouts of the peds, i dought that Kings Island will get rid of the building, mainly because the right half has the park's longest Halloween Haunt attraction. maybe Kings Island will put red beard's revenge in the left side of action theater this year making two big haunt attractions that don't have to be removed every off-season. oh, and didn't don say at the off-season blues party that action theater wasn't even going to open this year?

^there must have really been something wrong with it, correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't that the ride that's restraints don't lock?

How often do Evacs happen on rollercoasters?
coaster_junky replied to jondrewfoo's topic in Kings Island
here is my most memorable moment getting stuck on something: on july 14, 2009 i got stuck on the silver monorail at disney for about half an hour, we got stuck where the track starts to bank and turn to the right going from the station at magic kingdom to the contemporary hotel. we were told by the driver that it was because one of the drive motors that turn the wheels blew (i figured it was because he had crossed into the 200 ft. "cushon" between trains.), we were unable to pull up the hill leading to the contemporary hotel, so we had to set and wait (of course what can we do 20ft in the air riding on a high voltage rail) for the other monorails to reverse so they were a safe distance away so our monorail could attempt to back up into the station at the magic kingdom. while we waited to go in reverse the monorail drive tried again to get the monorail to climb up the not steeply banked climb to the contemporary, but this time he gunned the train and we didn't go forward, but insted we got to listen to the wonderful sound of tires skreching on a concreate track. after all of the monorails had gotten the safe distance away, we started to back up, and even though we were going downhill, we almost didn't make it, the monorail moved so slow that i didn't think that there was any way that we were going to make it all the way back to the station, but we did and in all honesty i didn't think disney cared at all that they had just stranded *insert number of people stuck on monorail* for half an hour, and were actually very rude to my grandma when she jokingly asked, "where do we pick up our free micky shirts". -
did anyone notice that at the begining of the video for Vortex, it shows "The Vortex"? i mean it's pretty bad when even the park puts the the in the rides name's

coaster_junky replied to Aaron88stang's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Nope. I love a lot of them...I'm just saying the park basically has the same kind of rides. I would like a wood coaster in there please. Kings Island holds the record for most wooden roller coaster at one park, and you are complaning about there not being enough, look at the bright side we have twice as many wooden roller coasters as another theme park in the state of ohio. -
better coaster Millinuem Force or Diamondback?
coaster_junky replied to diamondback1's topic in KI Polls
it might be "clearly readable" but it doesn't make any sense. -

SFKK TWISTED TWINS
coaster_junky replied to sccard01's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Mile High has not been open in 2 years. Investment has been put into the park just only in the waterpark. Twisted Twins opend in 1998 and when they did they were known as Twisted Sisters until the band "Twisted Sisters" threatend to sue. CoasterJunky you might just want to give up on that rumor.... and that band was named twisted sister, not twisted sisters, and yea, i kinda figured if they were going to move there they would have already done that. -
^and some are even 4-d
