How many times did you visit Kings Island in 2007?
Dalefan replied to italianchef's topic in KI Polls
I went about 6 times this year. -
I havent ridden that many lol. Its well worth the 60.00. Most parks have a ACE event every year which means ert on rides and food and tours of different areas and benifits as far as discounts and different things. The halloween thing i am not sure of. We sometimes have a event around the time the parks do the halloween thing. You will have to check on that. But ACE has all sorts of things going on across the world. You dont have to ride alot of coasters to be a member. Each state has a rep. or reps. for taking care of different things. I know the ACE main office is in Ohio like a hr from me. Cedar Point does CoasterMania every year which is the best coaster event in the world lol. Its an ACE event and a few other coaster clubs are always at the event too. The best time to sign up is after the parks close or before they open. Just go to aceonline.org and look and see if you like to join.

Please dont attack ACE or anyother coaster club. I am not one who stands in line saying i know everything about coasters. This guy is making it sound like we are a bad club. I dont go around bashing the site so please dont bash ACE.

Smokers Tossed Out Of [SF]GAm
Dalefan replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
If most of you guys was smokers then you would understand the things they go though. I am a non smoker and i think these laws are dumb. I bet if they banned beer or stopped selling it alot would get mad. -

The paper doesnt tell you everything and the 5 million is added up with the stores all together. And the news here in Columbus told all about the lawsuit. And it seems like everytime i say something about a law you guys either try to prove it wrong or think its not a law. Look it up. You be surprised what you will find. A law is made alot of times without anyone knowing it untill something happens. -
Smokers Tossed Out Of [SF]GAm

I really doubt that if they could prove that either they were never informed of the rule or that they were singled out that they could fight it. Of course Six Flags can do what they please on the property, but it's also a business and they are held to certain standards. I work for Best Buy and they get sued all the time over the return policy (as I'm sure every retailer does) despite the fact that it's on a big board behind customer service and also printed on the back of the receipts. Our Best Buy's got fined by our AG of Ohio. It was due to them not going by the return rules and not taking stuff back even though they had unopened products and the products was returned within the 30 to 90 days said in the rules. So they got fined 5 million dollars by our AG. He had 500 complants phoned in to him within 2 months. This was in 05. -

remember it's private property they can kick out whomever they want for whatever reason they want to...it's not a public property Just remember one thing, Six Flags cant afford anymore bad stuff happening to them. They aready have a case in court which could cost them millions. And it might be private but they still can be took to court over the stuff they are pulling. Next thing you know they will ban beer at all Six Flags parks. -

This is why Six Flags cant get anyone to come to the parks. This can go to the State AG's office the park is in and the park can get fined for this. The rules have to be clearly posted in order to enfore the law like kicking people out of the park. And the park has to by law inform the smoker of the rule and ask them first before going that far. Besides Six Flags cant go around making up stuff cause it has bit them very hard before. The law in Ohio states that if a smoker is told to stop smoking in a non smoking area then doesnt after being told then they can get fined or in trouble. Six Flags never told them once before kicked them out. If Six Flags doesnt shape up then they will end up going out of biz. -
The trims are light or heavy depending on the way the weather and how many are on the train. Or if they feel the need to have them on lol. I been on it when they was very light or real heavy. I know if the trims dont break a certin way in the tunnel turns at the end it flys in the turns. Its a good ride breaks or not.

Thats all it is. Beast doesnt need new trains anyways. I think its false cause no one seen this going on.

Haunted Kings Island Has More Creepy Doings

They need to get rid of Club Blood. Its way too boring and the end part is way too weird. Kinda x- rated from what seen lol. -
Dominator currently being removed.
Dalefan replied to DropZone99's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
They could be moving it to the other side of the lake. Its funny no one ever thought of them doing that. Every water park has some kind of coaster or 2. Never read a rumor cause it could be wrong. And the track thing could be anything. I know ThunderHawk is going to MIA's park. -
Cedar Fair didnt know they was gonna close Geauga Lake till Sept. and Firehawk went to Kings Island cause the park still needed Dominator. It makes more sence to take Firehawk anyway. They took Firehawk(X-Flight) during the winter. Dominator runs good and doesnt break down alot. It seems to draw more people anyway. No one knows for sure anyway if GL will be keeping rides or taking them out. And who said the ride side will be closed forever anyway? They said 2008 and not for good.
-
I dont expect Top Gun to stay longer then 5 years. Its never been painted since its been open and its getting real old. Besides the land its on is good for a good woodie or a steel coaster. I see lots of land back where its at and as long as Kings Island keeps being tree huggers you wont see any new rides on the land KI owns where a very large area of trees are. They just need to build out more. They have the land. You just have to use it.

I am one of those who likes Days Of Thunder. And yes it always has more then 2 racing. Its 6.00 not 8.00. Nuff said.
-
They still own the Paramount name so they may sell all the shirts before making new ones with just Kings Island. I know by Oct. the shops get very low on stuff.
-
To my knowing the park never had any FOF stuff since 2005 when i started fully going into the shops. The Beast has hardly any shirts. I been wanting one but they either are out or never in my size which is a large shirt. Hopefully Cedar Fair changes that. I know at Cedar Point they have just about all the coasters on a shirt or somekind of gift. They need to have all the coasters or rides on a shirt. I know the shop closer to StarBucks has 60% off Paramount stuff.

250 has hotels all along it. Kalahari if i spelled it right is to the right of 250 depending on which end of the freeway you get off on. The hotels end at the Cedar Point sign for 250 but also are to the right and left of the sign. And theres the old Green Tree Inn which changed its name. You can tell where it is cause it has a Cedar Lanes and a Thirsty Pony adjason to it.

Best/Worst Time of Year to go to WDW?
Dalefan replied to KIfan73's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Best time to go is before the hurricane season starts. Which starts alot last part of July first part of August and goes though November. It keeps you from loosing money if you go one day and have to leave. But before school lets out for the year is best time to go too. Just take alot of money cause they charge alot of money. $72.00 a person not counting food. This is without the package deals. -
SpiritSong/Weather Questions Regarding 07/05/07
Dalefan replied to MattyJames's topic in Kings Island
Sprit Song is very packed when they have it. Its very big and to me its the biggest money maker for the park. All 3 days is packed but i think it goes by the groups that will be singing. Around 6 pm i think it is all one ones going to the Sprit Song event will be heading to it and the park mostly is dead. The area around Action Zone who has the concert place will be most busy but the rest of the park should be less busy. Rain, it depends on how heavy it is and if lighting shows up. Light rain is iffy if they shut down the rides but the heavyer it gets the more of a chance they shut down things. Have a safe trip and hope it goes well for you. -
"Don't Bet Against Six Flags"

Yeah that also caused fights among adults who act like kids. Its a shame that the kids act like adults more then most adults do. And i have seen this 1st hand too.
