  1. ^He is big, and she does consider him sexy, but he is not the notorious Big Sexy! And StalkerChick, to someone who doesn't know your husband, they would probably jump to the conclusion that he was banned for something he did on here, which I know that's not the case.
  2. We got in line for WWC on Sunday, and the wait time sign said 30 minutes. As soon as we got over the bridge though, I saw that the line was much longer than that. We decided to stay in line, but after 15 minutes and moving approximately 6 feet, we decided to get out of line. As we were walking back to the entrance, I heard this gem of a conversation: Man 1: "The sign said it's gonna take an hour and a half!" Man 2: "No it didn't! It said 90 minutes!" (And yes, during our time in line they had changed the wait time sign from 30 to 90 minutes).
  3. That's too bad, we like the Trabant.
  4. I'm anticipating a nice set of Flying Scooters. That would be perfect!
  5. ^Merida (from Brave) and Tiana (from Princess and the Frog) are in Magic Kingdom. Merida can be found at Fairy Tale Garden (to the right side of Cinderella's castle, near Cosmic Ray's), and Tiana can be found near the Liberty Square Bridge. We saw them both there last month. There was quite a long line to see Merida so we just saw her from afar, and when we saw Tiana we were a little shocked to see how short her line was. We headed towards the end of the line, where we were informed that Tiana was about to take a short break and they had cut off the line, so that explained why it was so short. Hercules is no longer commonly seen in the parks.
  6. Regular (non-Gold) 2013 season passes will only allow you into the park through Labor Day. https://www.visitkingsisland.com/ticket-category/Season-Passes# 2013 Gold and Platinum season passes will allow you into the park through closing day, October 27th.
  7. When I click on the links for KI's Haunt site and CP's Halloweekends site, all I get is a video loop of zombies writhing near a fence.
  8. ^One took you to Alaska. The other took you to the Outer Limits. Neither one takes you to those places anymore.
  9. They do. My family was picked on August 10th last year, and GatorGirl got to push the button to "start the fireworks."
  10. That video had two of my biggest haunted house pet peeves: "Rawrrrr" at 2:18 and "Where you going?" at 2:42. Both show a lack of originality/creativity on the part of the actors. Other than that, it looked like a decent house.
  11. I think it's a good addition to the park. That side of the park needed more family stuff to draw the visitors with kids over that way, since really the only thing over there for them is River Battle. OK, there's also Beaver Creek, Lil' Loggers' Landing & Lumberjack Lifts, but two of those are play areas, and none of them are what I would consider major attractions, just things to occupy the kids while mom, dad and older siblings take a ride on Thunderhead, Mystery Mine & Wild Eagle. However, it seems odd to me to have two firefighter themed coasters. Hopefully this doesn't spell doom for Blazing Fury! That thing's a classic and a must-ride for us!
  12. Now, now, I may or may not be returning as Sam...
  13. They'll announce it when they announce it. I'm working Haunt for the 6th year, but I'm not saying where yet. I may be in a new one, I may be in a returning one. I may even be roaming the park. But until all the attractions are announced, you won't hear more than that from me. I've seen people lose their jobs before Haunt even opened to the public because of things those people have posted on here or on Facebook. So as Dane said above, be careful. I know it's hard, but be patient. It will be our time soon enough...
  14. Lol I'm getting hyped for stuff next year and I won't even be stateside I'll be over in the pacific by this time on a 20 mile island xD That's better than a Three Mile Island! Not sure if it's as good as Thousand Island though... -Gator, hoping no one has a meltdown about how I'm a dressing the topic.
  15. I'll be there for my annual trip on the first Saturday, 9/14. I unfortunately can't make it up the Friday before like I always have in the past since I have rehearsal that night, so I have to try to squeeze all the haunts into one night instead of two. Good thing the indoors open early!
  16. Great job! I'm still trying to get used to seeing you with the beard though! (Although I do agree with TTD-120-420. I'll be starting to grow my own here in a few days for Hauntly purposes, much to the chagrin of Mrs. Gator & GatorGirl).
  17. Have fun! GatorGirl reached 48" last season, and just hit 52" a few weeks ago. Her new favorite ride is Delirium, which beat out her former favorite, "The Beast at night". Next milestone will be 54" when she can then ride everything in the park, probably next year. Its always exciting when they hit that next height milestone, but this next one will be the last and I'll be moaning that my little girl is growing up too fast!
  18. Thanks for posting that, Shaggy! I had gotten an email from the Disney Store website last month with an offer for a Hat Box Ghost t-shirt that was only going to be available for a limited time. I didn't know the legend behind it, until now.
  19. That's exactly why we get the Q-bot every time for our yearly visit to Dollywood's Smoky Mountain Christmas. The lines for shows can get insanely long, so it's very nice to be able to reserve a seat ahead of time. Their shows, particularly their Christmas ones, are excellent and worth the five hour drive down there. Typically the rides have short lines when we go in November, and the Q-Bot's not really needed for that, so it's just a nice bonus to have to see the wait times and reserve a spot for a ride that's on the other side of the park, just in case! I can't wait to see what they do with "A Christmas Carol" this year. We loved "Babes in Toyland", and the ice show was a poor replacement for that.
  20. ^I am too, but not saying where yet. As it has been for the past few years, my location will be revealed in my signature. All in due time...
  21. Thank you, Terpy, for bringing a sense of nostalgia back to the site!
  22. I don't see what's wrong with a little extra revenue. As long as upcharge attractions like Skyflyer, SlingShot & DA are bringing in more money than it costs to operate them, that's extra money the park is getting that can go towards improvements and new attractions. You don't have to pay for them if you don't want to. I pay for Skyflyer about once every two years, haven't been through DA since it's first year and I've never paid for SlingShot (although I did get to ride it about 10 years ago during an employee ride night).
