You scare me.... You should ABSOLUTELY consult with your doctor before doing something that could endanger your life. I'm not a doctor, just someone who would hate to see something tragic happen to anyone, under any circumstances......

"Until there is no longer any Son of Beast......" Are you insinuating that SOB's days are numbered? If so, that thought has crossed my mind as well..... I have thought (because of the accident) that, once it is no longer a record holder, its as good as gone......

I must add my agreement to everyone who has posted in this thread, especially about the repetitive songs. It turns my stomach to think that I even know the title and artist of "The Sweet Escape" after having that stupid song force fed to me thousands of times in queue lines this season. And the fact that I know the words makes me want to cut my throat....LOL!!!!! "Chasing Cars" though is a great song...... Wish the TVs worked better when that one was on.

My favoite childhood memories are the Flying Dutchman (we called it "riding the shoes"), my sister and I scaring the hell out of my old parents by rocking the cars on skyride and zodiac, the original Enchanted Voyage, Screamin' Deamon and King Cobra..... Does anyone else remember the Bi-plane show that they used to have? I always liked that too....

I grew up in Union. Graduated from Northmont in 1987..... Wow small world. I actually lived in Union for 21 years of my life. I also graduated from Northmont, but in 1998. You went to school with my little brother..... He was class of 1999. We lived on Phillipsburg-Union road by the baseball fields......

I agree. It was a GREAT ride at the end of the season.... And, there will NOT be another accident like what happened before.. They have got to be watching that ride like hawks.... And, of course, with the safety measures that parks employ, remember that the most dangerous part of any trip to an amusement park is the car ride to and from the park. You have a much greater chance of being in an automobile accident on your way to or from the park than being injured on a ride.

Well, an "A" would be perfectand a "B" is above average (got my kids report cards today). So I voted for "B+/A-" The ride crews throughout the park were slow at times, but I never had any "courtesy" issues. I agree the food needs improvement, in terms of both price and quality. When we ate at the park this year, we usually ate at Wings where there were at least one or two fresh things to eat..... The park was VERY clean this year. Especially at the end of the year when there were not overflowing trash cans with yellow jackets swarming around them like there have been in the past. And finally, the improvements to SOB from when it reopened to the end of the season were PHENOMENAL!! It would have been an "A" except for all the food and the times that I sat in rides saying "all clear, already!!!"

I went last Friday with my exgirlfriend.......It was wonderful..... Hopefully I'll be able to remove the "ex" soon.......

As for SOB.... When it reopened, I rode it and thought that I had been in car accidents that were less violent and that it was just worthless and couldnt be fixed. But after the last few times I rode it this year, i must say: "I'LL BE darnED!!! THEY FIXED IT!!!!!!"

This was the first year my children made 48 inches. Just wait..... the experience of taking them on coasters and watching them build their confidence is beyond description. I bought the ride phots of their first and last Beast rides this year. In the first they are holding on for dear life, scared to death and in the last, their hands are in the air.......

"Real Pirates" is at the Cinci Museum Center....... I will take my children to that, then just indoor activities, homework, get them through school and try to keep them away from the tv and video games. I will miss the "no distraction" time I spent with them this season at KI!!! Its not long before it won't be cool for them to hang out with Dad anymore.........

I must say that I for one, wouldn't mind a forward ride on the South Racer. That would be SO "old school"......

Had to take the kids trick or treating tonight...It would have been a beautiful last night at the park... Wish I could have been there.....

My season ended in line for The Beast last Friday in the rain......... Yes, the first and last ride of the day is ALWAYS, has always been, and always will be The Beast....... Can't wait to run to it when the gates open for the first time in April of '08......

Just out of curiosity, does anyone else remember The Beast lake often reeking of vomit, especially in the second set of switchbacks... I don't miss that..

Does NOT include park admission, and OFTEN sells out. Amazing. Just amazing. And wasn't Lion Country Safari at KI $1.00 when it opened? I agree..amazing......

I can't imagine Huss charging more for a part than for the ride itself.

If your referring to the JLG lift; its always parked there. Of course it is. That's why rumors about it would be funny.

And the ride attendant said "we turned it off for that ride".

I don't know. I'm 39 and have been riding coasters since I was tall enough, and I can honestly say that there was no braking.... My kids were raving about it before the end of the ride.....

I checked the time right after the ride because it was almost closing time, so I was very aware of the time. It was 6:23 when we got back onto the midway by EXtreme Skyflyer and Days of Thunder....... Then the traditional last ride on The Beast...
