Awesome!! That first drop would have to be HUGE to make it complete the circuit, but I think a drop of that magnitude would be wonderful....

I was 16 in 1985. That was the first year I had my license and a season pass. Need I say more about the memories? Thank you!!!!

I went to my first concert at Timberwolf..... Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, 1982.

107 flips on a top-spin!?
BavarianBeatle replied to Captain Nemo's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Yes, but I don't recall him ever bringing a giant frisbee to the ring. -

Yep.... I've seen them hosing down half the Frisbee at Delerium and thought "glad I wasn't in that shower." I assumed the "berzerk" term was a reference to the old WWF wrestler "The Berzerker," who always walked around the ring yelling "HUSS!...HUSS!...HUSS!...HUSS!" -
Timberwolf should stay, but I'm in agreement with those who have said in other threads that they need to have more events there.

I'm another who remembers. There hasn't bee much on here about the air show, but I remember it well. Was anyone else there this year on Labor Day when there were skydivers? I pulled my kids out of line for Wild Thornberrys....... Lots of people had their camera phones out........

I was always partial to the blond girl in Hot Island Rhythms.

70 is incredible. I figure we did about 45 to 50. That means we rode just about every 48' coaster about 100 times (except SOB, of course). I also figure I spend over $2000 at the park this year.

Environment. It's my chance to spend real fun and quality time with my children without my job, housework, homework, video games, etc. I love rides, coasters and everything else, but my time with them at KI always reminds me that my time with them is what's REALLY important.

Used to be....They changed it, but the exclamation point is still around in places. Unfortunately, that's about the only change they've made in the last few years.... The school district is building all new elementary schools, though, so that's good.

Kid Forced to go to Halloween Haunt last month.
BavarianBeatle replied to JAHill's topic in KI Polls
Yep. They shouldn't have taken him. Poor kid, if he's that scared and gets that way often, he is truely suffering and may need some psychological help. -
Just think, this thread started because someone parked a trailer with 2 Flying Scooter tubs in the parking lot. Who would have thought that that simple act would have led to a discussion of giant statues with elevators inserted into unmentionable places......LOL!!!!!

Yes, the atmosphere was very nice.... I missed 2005 too, but I don't remember why....Yes, I do but we won't talk about her (this isn't complainaboutyourexgirlfriend.com....LOL!!!). I live in Hamilton, where ther's nothing to do in the summer, let alone the winter.

Very nice... Antique cars and Flying Eagles as well...

"Fairly Odd"... Aren't those words blasphemy to us old schoolers who remember "Scooby Doo" and "Beastie"?........LOL!!!!!
-
That would work!!!!!
-
And hopefully they won't... Groups often get separtated a little when they get close to the ride and have to ride different trains..... As long as people are respectful and stay outside the gates, then that should never be a problem...

Exit of The Racer with a zoom is as good as it gets.....

Kid Forced to go to Halloween Haunt last month.
BavarianBeatle replied to JAHill's topic in KI Polls
Nobody has said how old the kid is yet.... If he's 2 or 3, shame on the parents... If he's 14, that kid needs to grow up!! As for KI restricting access during the Haunt, thay absolutely CAN, as long as its not based on race, religion, gender or some other protected class. Children under 12 are not a protected class, so they could bar them if they chose to. -
At the end of the year, SOB was wonderful. It is a GREAT ride and my childrens' favorite. But "Dad" will always be my favorite ride anywhere on the planet. Hmm...Dad likes "Dad" and sons like "Son"....imagine that....

Could Son of Beast Accident Been Avoided?
BavarianBeatle replied to coaster_junky's topic in Kings Island
So, after all that... I've always assumed that wood or steel was determined by the type of surface that made contact with the wheels of the train. Am I wrong? -
In my opinion, the upcharge for FF/Haunt is a gamble. If the weather is good, it will be hugely successful. Otherwise, no one will pay to be out in the cold/rain/snow, etc...... With the pass, I would take my chances if the weather was questionable because leaving was no big deal if it rained or was too cold, but if I had to pay, I would be more careful...

Remember there were 27 injuries out of millions of passengers and one accident in who knows how many thousands of ride cycles. I know that my chances of being injured or killed in a car accident are MUCH greater, but I still drive..... So my answer is an enthusiastic YES!!

Not to mention the "step" effect created by SOB and Drop Zone towering over both of them...The visual alone would be unbelievable....
