As I was just about to get in the car today, 2 boys were walking through the parking lot. This is the conversation I heard... Boy 1: Man we have to ride Firehawk. Boy 2: We would, only we can't find it. At this point, I almost went to give them directions, but they continued talking. Boy 1: Oh wait, thats it (pointing toward Invertigo) Boy 2: That one right there? Boy 1: Yeah, the yellow and red one. Thats Firehawk. I got in my car and drove away...

Oooohhh, I never even thought about that... Man do I ever feel sorry for you!

The waterpark wasn't too bad until about 3 or so, then it was PACKED. We thought about going over and riding a few things before heading home, but as soon as we saw that Racer and AE had lines that were spilling out onto the midway, we figured it was best to just get to the car and get the heck out of there! I imagine the other coasters were even worse.

If I am not mistaken, they have a different "set" of music on some days. There is a mix of Jimmy Buffett and the Beach Boys with a few other random songs thrown in. I don't know if there is a certain rotation they go in, because I have heard the songlist you mentioned on a few occasions. I feel bad for the people who go to BB on a regular basis to swim, because one afternoon of hearing the same 7-8 songs over and over is enough to make me go crazy!

My friend and I used this deal last weekend while at the park. While we were purchasing the wristbands we were never asked to see our passes which kind of bothered me but I figured that maybe the cashier saw my pass as I was getting out my money. We went to ride Flight Deck right after that and a girl in line behind us asked if we had purchased the bands that day. After chatting with her for a bit, we discovered that she not only purchased her band the day before, she didn't even have a pass. They were only there for Spirit Song. It's situations like this that ruin it for the rest of us. My friend and I each bought our own band, and will continue to purchase them on the rest of our trips to the park because its only 7 dollars, and its the honest thing to do. It makes me sad to know what some people will do just because they can get away with it. I for one am happy to hear that the ones that abuse it and get caught will have their passes revoked. Also, I feel that I should mention that some of the workers are less than friendly when you use the wristband. We were even turned away at Kangaroo Smoothies in BB, and at the Funnel Cake place in Rivertown. Ogrmac... Rant Over

Walking behind 2 teenage guys past Vortex, One says "What's that net up there for?" The other replies "In case you fall out." I hope the other guy knew he was kidding, but I couldn't help but chuckle at that one!

I don't know if it matters, but in case it does I thought I should note that if you click on Site Store under the Site Info tab, it tells you that the Cafepress store is not found. I looked at the URL and noticed that it said pkicentral. In a moment of intelligence (rare for me) I erased the p and left it as KICentral. Lo and Behold, the link worked!

I wondered what they did with all the change that falls out of people's pockets!!

Since we never know when we will have weekends off at work, we decided to make the 2 1/2 hour drive down to our favorite place again this weekend. Arrived at park around 10:15 Viking Fury (1 Cycle wait) WWC (Walk On) Headed to BB Tazmanian Typhoon (5-10 minutes) Crocodile Run Floated around with many, many dead Cicadas, which I found to be quite humorous. Apparently they aren't great swimmers, LOL! Stayed in the wave pool for about an hour Got some LaRosas pizza Vortex (10-15 minutes) Blue Racer (Walk On) Adventure Express (Walk On) Eiffel Tower Browsed shops for a while Watched 4:30 show of Endless Summer on Ice Very talented people, certainly recommend this show! Flight Deck (Walk On) Attempting to dodge the Cicadas flying around makes this one VERY entertaining! Invertigo (10-15 minutes) Again, try to dodge the Cicadas. I dare you! Vortex (15-20 Minutes) Stunt Coaster (15-20 minutes) Beast (20-25 minutes) HAD to buy the on ride photo for this one. Rode in the next to last seat, farthest back I have ever ridden and you can tell my shock at being pulled down the hill in the pic. I'll try to get it scanned soon so you can have a good laugh! Delirium (25-30 minutes) Headed out of the park as the fireworks were starting. We had a pretty relaxing day just wondering around and riding what we wanted to. We plan to return on July 4th for another fun-filled day!

Waterpark lockers are $13.00, but $5.00 of that is the key deposit. The lockers there are for all day use (the 75 cent ones are 1 time use unless you drop in 3 more quarters) and are slightly larger than the ones elsewhere in the park.

The first ride I ever rode at Kings Island was The Beast. Now, I like to start with The Beast or Vortex and work my way around the park from there.

Thanks so much! I remembered seeing that it was included with passes, but I couldn't remember if it started at the gold level or not.
-
I was just wondering, is Halloween Haunt included with a regular season pass? On the back it says it isn't, but I know that it is included with the Gold passes even though they say the same thing on the back of them. I used the search feature, but I am still unclear on the answer to this. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

We kept getting dive bombed by them while waiting in line for several rides, and they were so loud by the Train station that it was hard to carry on a conversation. Does anyone know why they make such a racket?
-
Yeah, we were about halfway through the line at SDATHC when I said "Look, ALL of these people have small children with them." I felt like such a dork at that point, but we still enjoyed the ride. She scored 1650 to my 120, then tried to make me feel better by telling me that my gun was probably broken... LOL!!

Saturday morning just after 9, my boyfriend's mom and I arrived at Kings Island. We got a pretty decent parking spot and headed up to get our season passes processed before heading into the park. The employees in the processing department get an A+ for quick and friendly service! After waiting about 10 minutes, we went through the metal detectors and browsed in a couple shops while waiting for them to drop the ropes. Since it was raining, we saw no reason to rush to the back of the park. We headed to Flight of Fear expecting a long line due to the rain. Much to our surprise, we made it to just outside the station and only had to wait for about 4 trains before we loaded. It had been several years since either of us had been on it, so we didn't know what to expect. After a fantastic ride, we laughed at our photo then went to Action Theater. We only had to wait about 2 minutes before the doors opened. I must be getting old because I couldn't get past the fact that we were chasing a bouncing pickle! (I know, it's a cartoon.) We made a stop at the smoking area across from The Vortex and noticed that none of the coasters were testing yet because it was still raining. I suggested that we head to Nick U to ride SDATHC. While we waited, we noticed that we were the only people in line without kids. It didn't matter though, we still had a blast shooting the targets. When we exited, we saw that the Fairly Odd Coaster was running so we caught a ride in the back. For such a small coaster, we got some fantastic airtime on the hills. While in Nick U, we also rode Avatar, then we each purchased a giant pretzel and stood and watched a few minutes of the Dora show that had started while we were eating. After that we walked over to Boomerang Bay. We were going to go on a few of the slides to wait out the rain, but when we saw the locker price, we decided against it. $8 seemed like a bit much since we weren't planning to spend too long in BB. We walked back and got in line for The Crypt. The 20 minutes we waited had to be the most annoying 20 minutes of our day. There was a teenage couple in front of us that couldn't keep their hands off of each other. It was getting pretty gross, so I tried standing backwards. Of course they started laying loud smacking kisses all over each other. I could escape the view, but not the sound. When it was our turn to board, I stuck my flip flops in the pouch and strapped in. I didn't ride it when it was TR:TR, so I had no clue what to expect at all from a ride in a box. I was amused with the ride until the triple spin. I was hanging on for dear life at that point. When we were upright again, I yelled over to my boyfriend's mom that I was "ready to be done now" LOL! That got some chuckles from the people around me. I would definately ride it again though. It's unique. When we exited, we noticed that it had stopped raining so we headed for The Beast. As we made our way up to the line, we noticed that several people were leaving the line, but I heard a train leave the station so we didn't think much of it. After standing in the line for about 20 minutes, I noticed that they were only running one train, but we decided to wait it out. When several more people started leaving the line, I realized that I hadn't heard a train in quite some time. At this point, someone in line behind us pointed out that an empty train was headed up the lift hill and there was one in the station, and one waiting behind it. Whoo hoo!!! We went from 1 train to 3 and the line started moving quickly at that point. I can honestly say that this was my best ride on The Beast ever. It was the first time I got my courage up to ride with no hands! Next, we headed to BLSC since the line wasn't very long. We moved up for a bit until we were standing by the water. Then the line quit moving and people were leaving saying that it was broken. Since there had been no announcement about it being broken we decided to continue waiting. While we were getting attacked by locusts I saw them loading more trains on the track. We laughed that we hit 2 rides in a row that were adding trains and hoped that it wasn't going to be a trend for the rest of the day. After a fun ride, we decided to grab a snack. (Funnel Cake for her, some giant fries from Potato Works for me.) A quick smoke break then we headed over to Firehawk. Even though the line looked long, we only waited for about 30 minutes. After we got strapped in, I realized that I had forgotten to take my flip flops off. (I have decided that I was CRAZY for even thinking that they were a smart choice of footwear for the day.) Since we were at the very back of the train, I asked one of the ride ops if people lose flip flops on the ride. He smiled and said it was very possible. I told him I forgot and left mine on, so he took them off for me and threw them across. Bless his heart for grabbing my grungy shoes. He gets an A+++ in my book! They put us on our backs and asked us if we were excited to ride. I screamed and realized I was one of the few that responded. The guy with the microphone said "Great, 2 people are excited!" We giggled and they sent us on our way. I decided to ride with my arms out as we crested the lift hill. I think I have a new favorite coaster. After Firehawk, we rode the Red Racer, which was a walk on. Then we went to Adventure Express which was also a walk on. Then we headed over to Son of Beast. I had only ridden it once, and that was when it still had the loop, so I had forgotten how massive it was. I was getting nervous during our 30 minute wait, but when we loaded there was a young girl behind us that was scared. 2 of the ride ops were talking to her, one told her that the first time he rode it, it was dark and foggy and he came back fine and the other said that it was like The Racer on steroids, so even if they didn't help the girl, I felt much better before we left the station! After a very rough but fun ride, we went to Flight Deck which was a walk on. My boyfriend's mom talked me into getting on Drop Tower. I am terrified of heights and HATE the sensation of falling straight down, so as you can imagine this is not one of my favorite rides. We got to the top and I started freaking out. I think I was still screaming when we got to the bottom because the woman on the other side of me was patting my arm. After a smoke break to recover from that ride, we went to Delirium. I had never ridden it before and found it to be very fun. At this point we realized that it was 9:45 and we still had 2 coasters we didn't ride yet. Since we had both ridden Vortex on previous trips, but my boyfriend's mom had never been on Invertigo, we went to ride it. When we exited, we decided that neither of us felt like walking all the way back to Vortex and didn't want to get stuck for the fireworks, we made our way out to the car and drove 2 and a half hours home. We both had a very fantastic day and hope to come back again before the end of the month, possibly next weekend and we can't wait!! Thanks for reading, and sorry there are no pictures... I forgot the camera!

What was the first roller coaster youve ridden?

Cracking me up! Reminds me of last summer when I was begging my boyfriend to get up so we could go to the park. His response? "If I go will you shut up?"
