Audio 5 Full Ride Audio
-
I've already done the entire ride. I've made two versions, a normal ride audio of what you'd hear if actually riding...about 4.5 minutes long, and a entire effects audio, basically if you stopped at each scene, heard everything there was then moved on. That lasts 7 minutes.

The rest sounds like a modified Beetlejuice theme...good music.

And I'm surprised the ride ops at TR:TR don't bother walking through the cave with a pan & broom and sweeping up all the trash that's accumulated over the years. Or why the ride ops at FOF don't do the same thing in the hangar, except get a couple of ladders and some Swiffer broom thingys and clean up the UFO. Or why the ride ops at Racer don't bother walking through Racer's brake station with chewing gum remover and scrapers in their hands either before the park opens or after the park closes. But I'm not saying that the ride ops suck for not doing that. All the ride ops are cool (props to Beast and Vortex crews); I'm just, you know, lost on the whole cleaning up bit. I would love to stay after the park closes and actually help clean up TR:TR and FOF considering I'm in Ecology, but I'm fearful that I might get in trouble or no one else wanting to help out. I'm almost tempted to walk into TR:TR's cave and sweep up myself once our crew gets assigned to the area, but I think I might get in trouble for that as well. I already said I worked on TRTR for two seasons. I also worked on FoF for two seasons. I constantly tried to stay as long as I could to clean those queues and the theming. If you paid attention in 2003, all the gum on the tv screens inside the hangar disappeared in one day...that's because I climbed up and picked it off myself by hand. The reason there was still so much trash everywhere else is because management will not allow you stay very long after the park closes. They care more about the extra money they're losing on the extra time you're working than the quality of your work. The reason I still go to the park regularly is to visit all my friends/former coworkers. Other than that, I go when I'm really really bored. I used to love that place, but after seeing what's happened to everything this year, it's just depressing. And yes, while I worked there, I constantly stated to many people in charge of the park what needed to be improved. If those concerns were adressed to someone like Siebert, I was merely dismissed with different variations of the "we're working on it" answer. When it was just to my immediate managers, I generally got no response other than a laugh, and once, my personal favorite, "we've spent enough money on this ride" (regarding TRTR, back in 2004). So please, when you say the employees really need to start cleaning better, that's an insult to the few people who are actually concerned like myself. True, many people don't care, they just want to clock out and leave at the end of the day, but there are some who really want to help the place, but management simply won't let them.

The effect for the antichamber light on the door is probably not a projector at my guess. Its probably a focused stage type light with a gobo pattern in a gobo rotator that is keyed to turn so far then stop. Here is what a gobo is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gobo_%28lighting%29 And an example of a gobo rotator: http://www.rosco.com/us/lightingequipment/dgr.asp This way would be simply controled via a computer but the computer would just tell the power outlet to go on and off. The light would come on, then the gobo's socket. Gobo rotator off, light off. Gobo reset. This would be the cheep way to do this and the simplest. PKI may of opted to use a 3-8 thousand dollar moving light controlled digitally by computer for this one task. The bulb can blow, the connection between the computer could go haywire, the computer could not work itself! I was merely simplifying it into one word. I worked on that ride for two years, and I am more than aware of what was used. With all the money Paramount has, it may as well be just another projector, or even a simple lightbulb for all they care. They don't even change the normal lightbulbs on that ride anyways. Whoever the new owners are, I don't care. I HATE Paramount. They're nothing but lousy cheapskates, and I can't wait for someone to come on this forum and start defending their actions..."but they've given us NU..blah blah blah."

Im just wondering what ride you are refering too here?? Tomb Raider would be an example...down from a crew of 6 to a crew of 4. Antechamber will no longer be used because PKI basically wants to save a few bucks. Of course that door effect could never be fixed anyways, but you all know how hard it is for a multibillion dollar corporation to go out and buy a decent projector. Greeter position is also history just for the sake of pinching that penny even harder.

P&G's King's Island will need new ride names of course if all this actually turned out to be true, here are some fun suggestions... The Crest Son of Crest Dreft Zone Flight of Cheer Action Tam-Pax Theater The Charmin Job: Stunt Track The Gillete Mach 3 Mr. Clean: The Last Disinfectant (avatar...the guy's already bald) Pepto Falls...complete with pink water Bounce....(eurobungy) Deliriiams Era-cer Gain Raider: The Tide Swiffer's Sweepers (thank you Klockster) 29's will now be called downy time

FoF, Beast, and Vortex are the best reasons to love Kings Island. Last season I would have included some pretty nice themed attractions such as Tomb Raider and Italian Job, but now...no way. PKI is really slacking in the effects maintenance department. Tomb Raider probably only has 10%, at best, of what it used to have. It used to be my favourite ride, now it has slipped back quite a few places.

Yay or Boo to Nick Universe

Lets just hope they keep caring about the condition of this new layout. If it's anything like IJST and TRTR, there'll be a whole area of the park with a cheap and slightly rundown feel to it. -
don't let PKI know about this...with their uber obsession with making things too safe, they'll probably put a brake run on the launch.

Final Destination 3

Pink Panther is not a ramake, it's supposed to be a prequel to the original. I think it was originally going to be called Birth of the Pink Panther. -
Final Destination 3

Does he really? In the premonition, the guy's camera started the chain reaction that caused the crash, but what about in 'real life' after the premonition was over? That guy, along with the camera, got off the ride with the others. What caused it to crash then? -
Touchstone's M. Night Shyamaland...FearFest will then be called Sixth Sense Fest, where you can see dead people all night long, Nick Universe will be renamed The Village in honor of the childish plot, Boomerang Bay will be renamed Ladies, and Gentlemen, in the Water, and Tomb Raider or Delirium will be renamed Unbreakable.

Nick studios, we salute you....and your shorts.

The Italian Job Turbo Coaster

"Ten thumbs up for the new name," The Power Rangers -
If PKI does make another themed attraction, you can definitely count their best two movie options out...War of the Worlds (Spielberg has already guaranteed the rights to Universal Studios) and Indiana Jones (Disney already has their hands on that). They won't make another ride based on the Italian Job premise, that's just too repetitive. We've already expanded our kids area (again), so I doubt Mighty Mouse would be used. Mission Impossible is basically all they've got left aside from Star Trek, and since Trek has been -almost- retired, they probably won't use that.
