  1. I agree. I feel that most people would see it and think it’s just a storage building or something of similar use. Everyone needs to remember that there should be a very good reason to remove something of that size. If it was falling apart and unsafe, sure. It is a safe and functional building and there would be no need to remove it because it is visually unappealing. It shouldn’t have been put there to begin with but it was and it shall remain.
  2. I doubt they have any plans for the crypt building anytime soon. I think it will remain there until it becomes too much to maintain and they decide to remove it.
  3. I think this will be a great addition to Rivertown. I never had the chance to eat at the Reds place. The menu for this place alone makes me want to eat there! Hopefully the addition of the dorms will lead to better food service experiences.
  4. None. Paid for by the company that I work for that needs aerial images for utility work. This is exactly what I’m getting at. You cannot even see anything, just some concrete work and foliage. You can’t even see the buildings.
  5. I really do want to apologize for this. I didn't mean to cause any kind of tension between mods and users. With the park being closed, I think it is reasonable for Kings Island and KIC to ask that photos of construction not be shared. Even though the photos I have are legally obtained (and were actually paid for!), they wish for them to not be shared. I asked if it was okay before I even posted the photos and I was told it was *best* not to. The mods did not remove the photos as I never posted them. Like I said before, we will see stuff very soon! Even if they don't share photos before opening day, the park opens in just a little over a month. Then the photos will be completely irrelevant except for before and after pics.
  6. Guys... I only asked to share a simple photo of an aerial shot of I-Street. I could still share it off site but it’s just really not that interesting. It is a top down view of what they are doing. You legit can only see concrete work. I understand that the photo itself isn’t the point. I am just respecting the wishes of KIC and Kings Island. The park opens in a little over a month, and they will probably share an update of I-street sometime this month. Be patient everybody! Opening day is right around the corner.
  7. No problem, glad I asked!
  8. I posted images of the Antique Cars plot and Firehawk plot in the topics that pertain to them.
  9. I was thinking the same thing. I'm also curious about the piece of track right right next to the old queue. It seems like they are done with removing and scrapping all of the metal. Maybe they'll use it for theming somewhere.
  10. Not much to show, but this is what KMAA looked like as of about three weeks ago. Excited to see the final product!! -- Edit: removed the aerial photo. Will upload again if asked after the season has begun.
  11. Just wanted to share a satellite image of Firehawks remains as of 2/25/2019. Looks like we can say the station won't be used for anything at this point. Edit: removed the aerial photo. Will upload again if asked after the season has begun.
  12. I wanted to ask before I post this. I got some hi-res satellite images of the park in today and wanted to share a couple of I-street. These images were taken on 2/25/2019. It doesn't show too much of what is going, its just an HD satellite image so you're just seeing everything from above. I recall some people not wanting those kinds of images, so any response on whether or not I should post these would be great.
  13. I didn't bring it up man if you look back......all I said was what? where?.. as you can tell it was a joke. Also I did not know of this " inside joke". Moving on to stay on topic...….. People like silver2005 are the reason I don't like posting much on this board. You didn't do anything wrong Maverick44. You didn't even bring up Intamin. Not every single post in a topic will be exclusively about the topic at hand.
  14. This is so great to hear!! I was discussing a makeover of international street not too long ago in another topic. I cannot wait to see the outcome!
  15. Yeah, I also think that they remove the flagpoles for Halloween Haunt and Winterfest, or at least just Winterfest from the photos that I've seen recently. I think a separate flag display would be great, maybe somewhere in the expanse of the empty areas near backlot.
  16. I agree with @standbyme, I dislike the flagpoles. He is referring to these: Image Source
  17. I have doubts that they would ever install another Skyride, but this would be amazing! I love large fountains like these. They should put that fountain in, Skyride or not.
  18. Is this really what this topic turned into? lol, come on guys. There will be no zip line on IS except for maybe those stunt shows they do.
  19. I'm in the minority here but... I personally think the oktoberfest area has been completely lost and they have no intention of bringing it back. The area is very small but they could fit a couple flats in there. I have no idea what they could potentially theme the area to if they dropped oktoberfest entirely, but I could see them seeing it as an extension of Coney Mall or whatever they call Action Zone now. However, removing Tower Gardens and that air brush building would open up a lot of space for an oktoberfest revival or complete area retheme. Only time will tell!!
  20. Thanks for the tips!! I definitely wouldn't be expecting a KI experience. I've read a lot about their history and I'm surprised they've made it this far. They've had an incredible turnaround and it's exciting to see that they are committed to installing more coasters and flats. I've read that they do some kind of special drink deal where they're free or a $1 or something, so that will be nice.
  21. Looks like it will be a nice addition to their park! Wish it was a little bit longer. I recently moved to Louisville and will be making a trip there when it opens in the spring.
  22. I'm not sure actually, but those tables do look much better. However, I dont think those would be enough to accommodate the amount of guests the park gets today compared to back then.
  23. I have always wondered why they got rid of the street aspect of the area. In the photos below you can see how there used to be sidewalks and then what is supposed to be the street. I think it makes the name make more sense and looks more cleaned up and less cluttered. I feel like that is one major change in the park that is never talked about. Source Source
  24. I think that Snoopy is a great fit for the park. Nickelodeon was aging VERY quickly. All of the themes that were in Nick U would be extremely outdated at this time. The fact Mall of America still has Nick Universe baffles me. I don't think there would be any other relevant IP to replace Snoopy, they'd probably have to go the generic route and I don't think anyone wants that.
  25. Sad to see it go! It is definitely one unique ride. I can't wait to see what will takes its place!! F
