Eiffel Tower - Upper Platform?
LongliveKingsCobra replied to Magm&MForce24/7's topic in Kings Island
This is the second time mentioning the "slow" speed of the elevators because of wind, did you think we did not hear you the first time? I jest, I jest. -
Well sir you are missing a good ride! I love to just sit and ride it around the whole track. It's relaxing and gets a good little breeze going!

Prizes in the games outside DB's souvenir shop's exit

...I won't lie, while I am not a parent, I don't see what the problem is. -
...Uh... I don't know... why don't you go ask him?

And I believe to be much more reliable than WindSeeker, God forbid God blows in WindSeeker's general direction!

Getting stuck on Kings Island roller coasters.
LongliveKingsCobra replied to tuxedoman52's topic in Kings Island
Your last bit was a very common occurrence back in the TR:TR days! Usually right before the upside down dive into the "lava" pit -
Drat. Off a decade. Oh well.

It's a bobsleigh coaster. I forget what it was called before it was enclosed. But it was a ride built in the 70s(?) 80s and later was enclosed and themed to what it is now.
-
...it's nothing at all like DT lol but I see what you mean they are both enclosed and "themed" but DT wasn't really a thrill ride to the likes of FOF

Although adult roller coaster it'd be The Beast! First train of Fathers Day that's when I fell in love with her (or is it him?)

Wow! All year?! Something massive might be brokededed...ed.. Of course they might have been over dramatizing it, but you know with the previous downtime of it before I wouldn't be too suprised if it's down for the rest of the season!

I believe it's an optical illusion. You have nothing to gauge your speed by. i.e there are no trees that you can see zoom by to give you an idea of how fast you are going. While you may like shredding through that tunnel, I bet the trains/track/your spine doesn't like shredding through that tunnel hahaha

Does Huss always have these problems with their "Giant" variants? I'll admit that it is a very impressive ride! Watching it swing over the midway and seeing the sun glisten off the carriage as it swings up when you look at it from the parking lot. It's sad that after it's first year it encountered so many problems....

Taxi Jam (was that what it was called?) It was my first ride. It still looks like a fun little ride! ...don't judge. Edit: Or was it Les Taxis? Both names pop out in my mind for some reason...

Oh I have plenty of issues, finding money for this semester of college, manic depression, trying to read my book all quiet like while everyone else seems to have no respect for that. One thing I don't have is with your BB "love". You yourself said you were over the change from Boomerang Bay to Soak City. I was just wondering if you truly meant it, and apparently...you haven't. So it's my post, my thoughts. and it not your buiness to tell me what I have issues with and what I don't.

Again, I thought you were over BB becoming SC? Let it go. Good God!, let it go.

WOW. Thanks Gordon! I expect nothing less when I read through your posts. Which is also why I love (Shameless plug for you I guess) your Queen City Discovery page! It's amazing and so was that post. Thank you very much for all of those pictures. All of them brought back memories of the first time I rode SOB. It was Fathers Day of the year it was built, so what was that? 2000? We waited near King Cobra for 10:00am and all I could hear was the loud lift hill as the cars made their first tests for the day. 10:00am came around and we were allowed to walk back to the station. My heart began beating faster and faster. The Box that once housed the little ******* had been opened forcibly from the inside with the logo in it. I looked at it and told my father that I didn't think it was a good idea! We took the long walk back and I remember a sign that said "Feel the wrath: 2000" and I told my father that I was about to feel something... We entered the station and got on the ride, and you know what? I had fun! I LOVED IT! By the time we got to the on ride photo section I was smiling laughing and posed with 2 peace signs (we still have the on ride photo of it). I rode it every time nearly 4-6 times each visit. Always in the front seat. It was the only way to go.

Same with me! I got off and I said... Whoa...that's a long line! Even The Beast had a long over flow line of people that day. Those are the only two rides I rode that day.

That's what I was thinking. This isn't the first time we've had hotter than hell temps. What is it with Cincinnatians? We tend to forget the weather that happens. It snows: WHAT IS THIS WHITE FLUFFY STUFF? HOW DO I DRIVE IN IT!!??? It rains: ...hmmm....water...from the sky? How do I drive in it!!?? It's hot: ... I wish it were winter... it's cold: ...I wish it were summer...
-
Well then I'm going to go ahead and keep my skepticism about that being the cause of it being down. Can anyone confirm that as a possible cause of the ride being down?

...does she work on DT?
