  1. ^^ It's quite an "educating" experience when you find it.
  2. Had to look that one up. In summary it has the message and pretentiousness of a U2 song and the over the top length of a Rush song.
  3. I would doubt it. It's awful windy here in Lebanon and it probably is too in Kings Mills. Also they might be running diagnostics and checking computers to make sure yesterday was truthfully successful.
  4. If you're referring to Don I don't think he's the one making the decisions about all of this fuss. If you're referring to a certain waterpark obsessed third person speaker then that could easily fit the same description.
  5. Awesome description of the ride. I remember DB being kind of a let down during testing and when it opened but from what you say Banshee will not follow suit. Couldn't have said it better. All this control on KIC seems very out of character with the new order up in Sandusky. Almost like a Kinzel-esque way of squeezing out a few more Nickels.
  6. ^^ International Showplace is really one of my favorite park venues. The shaded but still open air seating makes for a great setting and the double-deck stage with the spiral staircases can make for some very creative choreography.
  7. I think from several sources from the park it was said that they are waiting for expansion. I think the park was trying to correct a trend at all Cedar Fair parks of poor placement of rides. Such as Son of Beast blocking the way for Action Zone growth and at Cedar Point where Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster, although good rides, got rid of many great views and scenic locations at the park. But currently the new outlook is rides like Gatekeeper and Banshee being strategically placed on the midway for increased aesthetics and allows for expansion.
  8. Makes sense. I keep on forgetting that as an younger enthusiast who visits and follows the park frequently is not a major target audience to the Live Show Department. It just seems odd that people on this site, at meet ups and normal visits, watched that show 4-5+ times in the season.
  9. I know this is going to be unpopular but I really didn't like Ed Alonzo's show. Although it was leaps ahead of shows like Rock and Roll Never Forgets I found the jokes lame and the magic standard. It was cool the first two time but I wouldn't see it nearly every visit a year like many users on here do. Personally I find ALL theme park shows annoying and cheap but some of the stuff Cedar Fair has been putting since they've expanded to 6 shows have no character or effort (the actors do put effort but the writing does not). Maybe because I'm young but I'll stick to coasters and thrill rides when I'm at a park. The shows, food and side attractions are almost a distraction to me. Hopefully some day I'll appreciate the shows but for now I'll skip.
  10. Be surprised come Media/ Opening Day. What Don doesn't Tweet about are sometimes the best things.
  11. ^^^ Totally agree. Spieling, in my opinion is almost as a part of the experience of a ride as theming. Not quite as important as general thrill and rider safety but spieling adds the humanity element into the park experience. If a ride-op is good enough they can think of many creative things to say to entertain and inform guests in line.
  12. I like how the station is closed in the front. Reminds me of Millennium Force and adding to the mystique of the ride ahead.
  13. My sister and friends are obsessed. I personally don't like it but I see where someone could. I'll stick to Trek for a while.
  14. Crossing my fingers I'll be one of those 17 year olds with experience this season.
  15. Lets take one grassroots movement at a time. Flying Eagles first then something else.
  16. I think there is a "Leave Britney Alone" parody with Son of Beast but I'll have to look.
  17. Sorry if I offended anyone. I was trying to be as vague, short, and clean as possible and left out important details. Most of the events where second hand stories from others, I was only checking bars at the time. One story told me they where from WV another said they where from Mississippi and another person told me they where joking/ exaggerating. Basically I got into a big game of telephone. Again I apologies I should have gone to more detail the first time.
  18. You can fill in the blanks but IT happened during the ride cycle of Boo Blasters. The worst part was it was between siblings and having to explain to the parents the situation. After seeing the parents it wasn't a shocker this happened so their drive back home to Mississippi/ West Virginia (most likely) was very awkward. This is common on Woodstock's Whirlybird too but unlike BBOBH the cameras don't find out until it's too late.
  19. I have a very funny but non-TOS appropriate BBOBH security camera story while working involving a similar situation.
  20. ^ At least those 5 trains will be worth the wait.
  21. I was very young when Flying Eagles left but what was PKI's policy on snapping at the end of Flying Eagles' run and Carowinds current policy?
  22. Ross is indeed home of the very scenic Mount Rumpke.
  23. I would be all in but their is only one moral problem for me. An entire generation of kids who go to Carowinds now know of our Flying Eagles as their ride from their childhood. Although It's a shame that it left Kings Island it would be just as much of a shame for it to leave Carowinds. Financially I don't see any issue. These rides, old or new are relatively cheap compared to rides like Banshee and Diamondback and need very little land clearing along with standard utilities. A way that both issues can be resolved is if the one currently at Carowinds moves back to KI and Carowinds also gets a brand new one but that seems a little ridiculous.
