Intamin easily. B&M coasters like Diamondback might as well end at the hammerhead and Raptor could just start at the MCRB. This Intamin family coaster could be more exiting than B&M rides twice its size and speed.

Don't forget us Instagram users! @dcoasters will be posting many #KingsIsland2014 pictures.

Best example on a ride can be the third hill on this ride named Goliath at WALIBI World and can be seen at second 32. Although my favorite ride is Millennium Force this could easily top it if I ride it. Edit: someone got me to it.

They will need a virgin for the sacrifice....LOL Actually laughed out loud on that one That won't be hard to find in this group.

^^I volunteer as tribute! Though this last week of decoding might kill me first. edit- POST 200! this last 100 was less exiting than the first 100 considering the latter took five years and the former too 4 months.

I believe Mr. Stengel is retired from his job as a designer so it could just be a tribute.

Does the third say "O'TERPY"?!

Well we now know who leaked the blue print...
-
218' feet as an homage to SOB?
-
I don't see the problem. Diamondback had it's blue prints leaked long before the announcement and some were still convinced it was a Dive Machine.

Ride these rides in this order and you should be set to ride anything after lunch. 1. Firehawk 2. Flight of Fear 3. Vortex 4. Beast 5. Diamondback 6. Drop Tower Unless you have a platinum pass just switch 4 and 5 with 1 and 2 if you can do ERT. I can assume you're going to ride the train but check out Racer(Both sides) in the second to last seat and the front for ejector airtime. Adventure Express is a must too and is easily the best mine train I've been on. Flight Deck is a very intense ride in the very front and very back, it is the closest ride as forces go to Maverick at Kings Island.

Fire-Beast-OF FEAR replied to Tuskin's topic in KICentral Footnotes & Small News
That sounds like a good idea. I remember a few years back a "poster of the month" idea was tossed around but it never came together. But I can't remember if it was KIC or KIE(Extreme not the new Expo) its been that long. -
If it is a B&M Inverted roller coaster that breaks Major records these are the basic stats that it could have . Stat- Measure (Current Holder) Height- 196 feet+ (Alpengiest full circuit )/ 216 feet+ (Wicked Twister) Drop- 171 feet+ (Alpengiest full circuit)/ 207+ (Wicked Twister) Speed-73 MPH+ (Wicked Twister) Length- 4,048.7 feet+ (Pyrenees) Inversions- 8+ (Montu) Source: RCDB These are all likely to be broken but none of these will probably be bigger than Diamondback's stats other than inversions.

^So you do care some?
-
I really wasn't going for that but it could be a possibility. So if you are interested in checking things out or just want to meet up.http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?/topic/27874-august-6th-Diamondbacks-announcement-5th-anneversary-meet-up/#entry536079

Yes. I always wanted to do that.

I recently rode MS in the front seat and It was a very good ride. The second half was very slow and uneventful so it lost points there but it was better than Mantis in terms of thrills and pain. I do like the ride and especially the setting and structure but it does need a renovation in the style of outlaw run to compete with the rest of the Point's collection and let the Point remain competitive in terms of wooden coasters.

Probably out of sheer luck I managed to get not one but three visits to the Point in under a month. To some this is normal but the last visit I made was in 2009 so I was super exited. So This PTR will be like my last one with Part 1 being the trip and part 2 is ride reviews but I will only review the rides I did not go over in my last PTR and it will also have way more pictures. So for the first day it was me and my younger sister Maggy and we arrived around 4:00 as we drove down the "Million Dollar Mile". The weather was very nice and perfect for awesome coasters! So our first ride was Gatekeeper and only waited for 12 minutes before enjoying my second wing coaster on 8-right. The next ride was Mantis after 20 minutes of waiting. MF had an hour wait and my sister had never ridden Mantis before so I had to prepare for the worst and It wasn't as bad as some have made it to be. Emphasis on AS it really wasn't that great. so a walk down the Frontier trail on the way to Maverick ensued. We waited for 1 hour before we were halfway into the queue house and a ride-op E-stopped so another 45 minutes happened before be could get on but we walked on after the ride started up due to the amount of people who left the queue. Luckily we met some Marching band people so we were entertained for the most part. The ride was awesome but slightly not worth the wait. Millennium Force was next and we rode it with the new friends we met. We waited for 1:15 minutes but by the time we got on the ride it was dark and an awesome night ride ensued on my favorite coaster ever. Wicked Twister was awesome as usual and with a cold lakeside nighttime breeze every time we passed out of the station added to the thrill. Sadly we had to leave and a nice sibling outing ended in awesomeness. Day two was a solo visit and I went for MF first for platinum pass ERT. I got two rides in before I knew this would be a day spent more on the midway and beach than on rides. Lucky enough to get in line for TTD before GA was let in so I got on the ride at 10:05 after 15 minutes of standing. Then 3 rides on Magnum in a row with either walking on or not leaving my seat was next in row 6-2. That just goes to show how underrated and high capacity this airtime machine is. Then a lap on Gemini before I headed to to Mean Streak. I rode MS 3 times all in the front row and it was a very enjoyable ride compared to past rides. Cedar Creek mine ride was next after a walk on. Not as good as AE but the setting and theming was pretty good. Then a trip to the town hall and lunch at Pinks hot dogs before i headed to the beach as the lines got big. Lake Erie was warm and the beach was very clean and sand as opposed to many beaches in the region. I got another ride on Magnum after a 20 minute wait before I had to leave. All and all, a nice trip and got to ride GK. Part 2 will be ride reviews and a lot more pics so hopefully that will be up tomorrow.

Now that I am 16 and can drive and go without parents I almost always go alone. I get realy fed up with groups that fall through, or have a ton of drama or have people who are too scared to ride ride roller coaster and spend half the day marathoning WWC. I live 15 minutes away so I usually start my day with a good breakfast at home and bring a plastic ziploc baggie and cargo shorts to put my loose articles in. I arrive for ERT with two each on Beast and DB. Then and head on over to FH then FOF. Usually a walk on for Vortex is next and a short wait for DT happens next to complete KI's big 6. If I have time I might get a ride in on Invertigo, Racer, AE, and/or FD and if I have even more time a look at 2014 on ET is next. By this time it's only 11 and I head on out to get Chipoltle or Jimmy John's on the way home. I only go with others if I'm invited or it's a KIC thing. A lot of this sounds mean but you do get a lot more done in a shorter time.
