  1. Yesterday at Soak City I saw orange construction markers in the grassy area north of Tidal Wave Bay. I'm sorry for not taking Photos of the markers but my camera was in a locker. I always thought this would be a great spot for a compact water coaster or could easily be more lawn chair space so we'll have to see.
  2. 1. Paul McCartney 2. The Black Keys 3. They Might Be Giants
  3. Disagree. The Batmen: The Rides prove my point. That an experience can be had at more than one place in the world does not diminish the experience. See also a 2012 Corvette. You no want as they made more than one? Silly. Just silly. See also: Flights of Fear. I believe he is talking about Soak City, unsurprising really. You Know, I have a hunch that this kid might prefer Boomerang Bay over Soak City. 1. I am no kid, funny how a guy with a calvin clip would say that 2. I wasnt even refering to the BB-SC deal, past is past 3. I was refering to the Planet Snoopy area, and the haunt idea(not in CP i believe..), its the same idea all over, overlord rules over ghouls, come up with different ideas for different parks... Scientific Progress just doesn't quite go "boink!" for you dose it?

  5. ^i noticed that too. one thing I found interesting is that they called Mason a small town.
  6. I have asked the ride-ops this once. It is because they want to know a good estimate of how long the line is by seeing how many people are in line outside so that the line attendant knows how long the line is for people entering the line.
  7. Too bad your day ended so early, and I hope your sister like FOF. Seems like you rode a lot. Also our Huss collection is still down yet again.
  8. Welcome to KIC! I voted a roller coaster because I want to see how the park can top Diamondback so I would have to say a giga too. But any new thing for next year would be fine with the way the new CEO is running things.
  9. Either an E-stop or a ride op climbed the cat walk to take someones loose object away.
  10. In general we haven't had a KIC event at the park since 2009 and that's the time activity on the site has gone down, the site became less updated, and KIE died. and BB1 thanks for taking out that giant signature.
  11. I always thought that Paramount had good intentions going into the purchase of the park and still did for the first few years of ownership. But as time went on the owners didn't really put as opinion into the guests hands and did what was the cheapest and easiest way to promote their next movie. the most prominent place I see this is in FACE/OFF and Drop Zone where no theming what put in.
  12. Amusement park- Cedar Point, as much as I love theming, atmosphere, and good food its all about the coasters for me so Cedar Point, but Busch Gardens Williamsburg for a CLOSE second. For water parks I do not know because I've only seen Soak City (which is now my favorite addition to KI in a long time!) But I am visiting both Splashin' Safari and Splash Country this summer so that might change.
  13. As much as I like WindSeeker, it was a let down as a thrill ride and KI should get more large flats. But the next thing the park needs is a roller coaster or a water coaster for Soak City.
  14. ^ I fully agree with you, and I do believe there should be a campaign for that. And I could also say that there might be some people in a management position at the park who are thinking the same thing. But the kids who call Carowinds their home park, who have memories of riding that ride now and then Kings Island taking it back is no different than what Paramount did to us.
  15. BB1, it's always good to have members stating their concerns for the park but you are sounding like a one-year-old child IN EVERY POST. I was very upset that the park tore out antique cars for Italian Job, and even today if I ran the place I would bring antique cars as my first move, but I got over it and had a fun time riding BLSC. And it's just the water park.
  16. ^ Ironically the South Park episode was about why people should NOT hate Gingers or one would become like Cartman (the racist evil character in the show) . And that video of the ginger kid complaining about South Park was also joke video with no serious intentions. So both instances where went stupid people on the internet taking things too seriously or not serious enough.
  17. ^Red hair, freckles and pasty white skin. For some reason people hate gingers and are currently one of the most bullied minority in schools today.
  18. I would say fall not just because of HH but because the park during the fall has the most beautiful colors when the leaves turn orange and red. It also doesn't hurt that during the day this is when the park is least crowded especially the adult side.
  19. IMO the sound volume just one of the only reasons I would not go to the park for consecutive days. But I believe that Kings Island it one of the only parks that have it this bad. This is a frequently discussed issue inside the park amongst the GP almost more than SOB and can be easily fixed so there must be a good reason to why management doesn't turn the volume down, or make the sound fit the area of the park.
  20. These "save the _____" pages do tend to get annoying but here is the "save the" Facebook page for Space Spiral: http://www.facebook....183427895117633 Not surprisingly DT did not have its own page.
  21. Hanks burrito's where Fantastic! clearly a knock-off of Chipoltle but it was about as good as Chipoltle and less than a dollar more expensive (Hanks was 7.50 and Chiplotle's averages to be around 6.75 depending on the meat) highly recommend the new restaurant.
  22. these photos are awesome! One of my favorite times to visit is during the fall and this caputures that time very acurately.
  23. As early as the park opens! however there are some days where the ride is closed in the morning so either don't ride it and go another day or around six when the the families start to leave or people start to eat. I enjoy the ride and i hope you do to.
  24. To me the Peanuts are a family tradition to watch there specials on all occasions, before the addition of Planet Snoopy I thought every last red blooded American family did the same exact thing. to me the peanuts have a place in my family and thats why I think Planet Snoopy it the best thing that has happened to the park ever. and also the stuff on Nickelodeon right now is just absolute garbage, at this point Spongebob is on total autopilot and the rest of the network is family sitcoms the only good show on there is TUFF Puppy and if that was a show in the 90's it would be the worst of all of them. Would you really want your 4-year-old to be riding a roller coaster themed after a teenage pop icon?
