How long is GT's dispatch time? When I went to Dollywood last summer and rode Wild Eagle It took a long time to check restraints and signal the drive.

Cedar Point and Bad Knees
Fire-Beast-OF FEAR replied to homestar92's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Coming from someone who has long legs I always found that most early 2000's Intamin sit-down coasters have been a little snug to be in. So Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster should be fine just maybe a little tight. -
Want: Intamin Giga, B&M Giga, RMC woodie with inversions. what is likely to come: All of these seem realistic based off of trends but a B&M giga is what seems like the most likely.

^ New for 2014: Vortex II: Angel of Death

As in roughness and discomfort not headbanging specifically.

Sorry for not specifying when I meant "fun for everyone". Many people feel the headbanging on Vortex keeps the ride from being any fun. same can be said for SOB too.

VortexBFF's Very First Opening Day - April 27, 2013
Fire-Beast-OF FEAR replied to VortexBFForever's topic in Trip Reports
I feel kind of bad because of the time I took to argue against Firehawk we could have been in line before the fireworks cutoff. -
Invertigo is a cookie cutter ride and often has too long of a line forthe ride to be worth it so it is often looked over by GP and enthusiasts a like as a serious ride. What KI was lacking before Diamondback was a modern, large, high capacity, and fun for everyone roller coaster.Son of Beast was going to fill that role but we know how that turnedout and the closest thing we had to that description was The Beast and Flight of Fear which were both aging so Diamondback really filled the void for that role. Every Cedar Fair park except Michigan's Adventure and Kings Island have at least two major steel roller coaster that fit the categories above.

Segments of the magnetic trims where removed. The old ones are sitting directly to the side of the track on the catwalk. However they will probably be moved to a storage area by opening day. 100th post!
-
After employee rides day and a few laps on The Beast I a pleased to report that the trims on The Beast are much more forgiving. Trim 1 is still the same but trim 2 is almost non existent and trim 3 has been cut back. Trim 4 is almost gone and you can't feel it at all unless you try. This gives the ride a good pop of airtime on the second hill and a much better paced ride after the shed and second lift. It make the ride feel more like it did with the skids than the last few years.

KICentral T-Shirt Poll

Where will you be handing them out prior to 9:15? -
FOF is the best theme in its current state and its prime and as a bonus a great ride. AE comes in a far but still great second with using setting and the terrain to its advantage. BLST is by far my least favorite coaster in the park. The theme, the ride and the location are all poorly done and ruins the atmosphere for coney, I street and rivertown.
-
Wow, Location, theme, menu, all perfect. Taking two of my favorite things and making something KI has been needing for a long time. I'm really exited to see what the patio is going to look like with Diamondback and the splashdown so close.

I find It funny that his profile views far exceed his posts. I remember when that went down, I just sat back and watched that topic burn.

Permission to Record on Roller Coasters
Fire-Beast-OF FEAR replied to xXDrummerKiDXx's topic in Kings Island
5 years ago I took a POV of Backlot for a school research project and I was almost told to put my camera away until the ride-op saw the strap for the camera then he said it was fine. The strap was the kind that tightens and locks so it could be tight around the wrist. I hope that helps a little. -
What kind of awesome summer camp do you go to that has you make websites? At my camp all we did was run 3 miles and talk about Jesus.

I would say Canada's Wonderland. The park under paramount had several roller coasters but no major ones that people came for. Just like KI before Diamondback, except CW didn't have The Beast and their best coaster was Vortex, thats like the best and biggest ride at KI being Flight Deck. Now the park has broken the 200' barrier and two rides over 300' in under 5 seasons and they are both amazing coasters.
