PKI to host "Italian Job: Stunt Track" const. tour
familyman replied to Shaggy's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
I heard they may be changing the name of the IJST to “The Horrifying Mud Pitt.†For those going you may want to stop by ebay and pick up a raft if you want to get near the site. On a serious note I hope this weather breaks enough to dry things out. I am sure it is causing undo delays on construction. If I can’t make it someone has to ask for a webcam to be placed somewhere where everyone can watch the progress. -
That is very nice of you!

What make you think PKD will get a coaster next year? Nobody on here is an expert. You’re a fool if you think you are. We all like to guess and speculate what’s coming up next. Some people get information from sources inside. With a smaller flat like this they could be planning on a coaster for next year. Just idle chit chat man. By the way try proof reading your posts.

With this warmer weather and rain you better bring some good mud boots to walk around in.
-
Well it’s something at least. I am sure they will be getting a coaster for next year. Hopefully its something different.
-
From what I have read the company raised it price. They claimed an increase in steel. Too bad could have been an interesting ride. I am sure the company will end up selling it to another park.
-
I hope it’s a new family coaster. A new well themed restaurant would be nice too.
-
I helped my 8 year old daughter take it. Spongebob and Fairly Odd Parents were here choice. I should be interesting to see how this pans out.
-
Well if IJST isn’t finished I will have to just walk around and have a look see. Then it’s off to The Beast.
-
As I said before I doubt they would end or even shorten Fear Fest. It’s only during the month of October anyways. They would have most of November to switch the decorations around and get ready for Winterfest. I like the idea of doing both but you have to be very realistic. This is a business.

Geauga Lake has wood coaster ride I believe it was called The Riddler back when it was owned by Six Flags that was pretty rough. Great ride but rough. It gave me a headache ever time. It’s the one with the steel frame.

If PKI could make more money that way don’t you think they would have done that by now? I think that they are doing a fine job. You can get into several attractions early in the day. If you look at Cedar Point they have the same issues with lines. You could also take a look at some other popular haunted houses in your area and you would find people waiting 2 hours or more for 30 minutes of fun. Again for the money Fear Fest is hours and hours of diverse fun for the money.
-
Another way to look at the warm weather is it certainly can’t hurt the construction progress.
-
I hope your right. As a family man I enjoy the rides my entire family can ride.
-
I seriously doubt that they would stop doing Fear Fest. Halloween is second only to Christmas as holidays go. Amusement parks make a ton of money during the month of October. It allows them to operate longer and gain extra revenue. It also lets them push season passes. I thought Fear Fest was ok. For the money you really can’t beat it. You ride the rides and get to go through several haunted attractions at once. Most haunted houses charge an average of $10 to $15 and it takes you about 30 minutes if your lucky to get through. Do the math!

Nothing has or will ever compare to the style of The Beast. And it’s still a record holding coaster.
-
What a disappointment this has to be for the other park. Knowing that PKI’s version is bigger, indoors and well themed.
-
Man that is just wrong. I had originally posted on here a notice about this item on ebay. Someone pulled it so they could get it without being bided against from someone on here. I was thinking they would scan the images and share them but I guess I was wrong. Dirty pool!

A look at the Flying Eagles New Home

Here’s a polite way to look at this issue. Loosing 2 flat rides….gaining a great themed coaster. I am sure you will see something replacing them when they expand the kids area. -

Life goes on, get over it for real. I loved the ride. It was one of my kid’s favorite. But seriously just let it go. -
In order for me to get braces I had to have 8 teeth taken out. 4 of them were my wisdom teeth. When I woke up these 2 young girls tried to move me to a recovery room and they dropped me and I fell flat on my face. An hour later they were trying to get me out of there and picked me up again and I ended up puking all over one of them. You should take a picture and post it. We promise not to laugh. Ok that’s a lie but it would be funny. Hope you feel better!

I wonder if they will give us another tour when the ride nears completion. -
I think I speak for thousands of coaster fans that have been on SOB and thought it was rough. It is a great ride but hold on to your intestines and pride because it will sure try and shake and beat them out of ya. Call me what ya want.

It’s just a name change. If anything I am sure they would make other improvements. CP ride goes through waterfalls. Although I don’t like getting soaked my kids sure do love the ride. Besides this is all just a rumor.

PKI would have to be insane to let someone build something they could build themselves. I think it would be great if they followed CP lead and built their own. One other little thing that would set it apart from the others would be to incorporate some flats or even an indoor coaster inside with it. I know I am dreaming but it would rock!
