Dad got the phone trip report right after the show; Peanut was excited she met you. Unfortunatly Dad was at work and can't make all the visits with the rest of the family; Peanut and Family made it to 61 visits this season, dad only 31 Thanks to everyone at KI who put FUN in a kids life. Dad

Yes we do!

Thanks for the bag of candy to PEANUT and our other 3 on Halloween; That was a very nice gesture. Dad

Like they said, in front of the BIG sign (in front of the Gold Lot) is a turn around area for busses and parents trying desperatly to get rid of their kids.... no money required.

Our family enjoys all the attractions, but we were not happy with Death Row, really lame, only 3 people inside and way too much fog! We had problems finding Club Blood; when you first start follwing the walkway, they need a sign at the fork in the walkway! We all enjoy Dead Awakening, especially Peanut, she likes to dance prior to the show. Urgent scare is OK, it seems to change on a daily basis (tweeking it you could say), as well as the Pirates. The clowns seem not as good as last year; not very much enthusiasm by the cast. More Cast members next year! Use more of the space at the park, have more mazes; use the tower for something! A third show could be done, use the other stage near the Corn Stalks. How about selling Hot Cider during HH? On those cool nights, it would be nice and it's a seasonal drink. Hope to see everyone Friday and Saturday; Peanut, Mom and the kids will be reaching 60 Entries to the park! Yippie!!!

Peanut wants to know if the height requirment has been set for Diamond Back yet? P.S. Please tell me its more than 48" (dad); seeing I put the post in the wrong area, lets make it a Poll. What do you think it should be?

Has anyone heard if they are thinking about the "Buy Now Pay Later" like last year?
-
I hold onto my kids; as a dad I don't want anything happening to them. But now the kids that's another story, they have to put their hands and arms up in the air and laugh! God forbid when they reach 48 inches and higher and want to do the really big rides, Peanut already is planing on riding Diamond Back

As of tonight: Dad 28 times Mom and the kids 56 times. Hoping to break 60 before the 2nd.

How satisfied are you with Halloween Haunt 2008?
hamoperator replied to BoddaH1994's topic in KI Polls
My family enjoys HH, my kids even though they are under 13, look forward to going and having fun. This year we have only had 2 complaints; we had a cast member in Urgent Scare yell at us (not as a Ghost/Ghoul) to get our kids out of there, they didn't belong there. The other complaint is we went through Death Row and we seen 3 cast members on the outside, and only 3 inside, it was LAME; too much fog and not enough cast members. We have had a few moms get baligerant with us for bringing our kids, but I hope they remember, THEY ARE MY KIDS; my kids know its only for fun. Other than that we really like HH and plan to keep going every weekend. Good Job to all the cast at KI. -
Has anyone tried the turkey legs they're selling in Coney Maul?

During daylight hours the food stand on the corner of International Street (corner you turn to the Festhaus and Viking Fury, across from the drawing stand and wood shop) sells them also. -

We tried them twice off the cart, but prefer the ones being sold at the corner store by the fountain, they are also a few pennies cheaper on the corner than at the stand! Peanut said the one her and my wife received Saturday was a bit dry, but still good to eat. One of those legs and some fries by the train station and you have a nice snack. -
ben is Been Would be nice if they do like last year and have "The buy now, Pay Later" option. In todays economic times, this would help allot of families that are planning on purchasing season passes.

The Mummy (Dustin), Frankensteins Wife (Paige) and the Warewolf (Kyle) are cast members from The County Line.

Kings Island was giving the kids free cotton candy, popcorn, fruit punch and hot choclate. Now you have to pay for it. Do you think is should be free in the kids HOWL-O-FEST area or a pay item?

Didn't KI use to have H.R. Puff and Stuff? If they did, do they still have the costumes?

Kings Island Brews Up All-New Kids’ Halloween Event
hamoperator replied to Dane's topic in Kings Island
They almost certainly would, except that they don't recommend the night portion of Halloween Haunt for kids. Having a kid's pricing point for the Fright Feast meal would probably encourage families to come. This is the second year my wife and I have taken our kids to HH, they love it, and we as a family look forward to it. My kids know it's not real and HH is just for fun. Has KI looked around after 7pm and taken count of the number of kids under 12 that goto HH? We have only had one problem with HH this year; A male character in the new hospital yelled at us "why did we bring our kids and to leave the attraction!" Bodda; Please don't take this wrong; but what's wrong with encouraging families to come and do something together? I see that as one big problem in our society; families have lost the time to be together; For my family, HH is quality time having some fun... -
They were in the kids area (picnic area). though last year they had a few walk the park... But yes goto the kids halloween area... Saturday and Sunday

Kings Island Brews Up All-New Kids’ Halloween Event
hamoperator replied to Dane's topic in Kings Island
We enjoyed the new area being used; but were not as happy with the pumpkin patch; We enjoyed last years ride to the patch on the train. The free drinks and snacks were a very nice touch, but on Sunday; the hot chocolate and the punch was diluted by 3pm, prior to that they were normal. We wish KI would consider a kids price for the Fright Feast meal (under 48"). 13.99 seems just a bit much for little bodies. Seems more than fair for bigger bodies; even the Backyard Boo BQ has a cheaper price for the tiny ones. -
Thanks to Don and who ever else was responsible for bringing back the Retro Characters; my kids loved seeing them. We hope KI brings them out more often. We all got to see Fred Flintstone, Barney Rubble, Dino, George Jetson, Astro, Shaggy, Scobby, Thelma, Betty Rubble (I think); Yogi Bear.

what do you think cedar fair could do to improve ki?
hamoperator replied to skaterboy22101's topic in Kings Island
Make this (The Gold Lot) parking exclusive for Gold/Platinum members, with a full time attendent checking passes so that it is enforced all year long and enforced at special events. Not enforced like it was this year, 3 or 4 hours a day when KI felt like putting a staff out there. More speed pass days with more than 4 rides as speed pass rides and more than once a day on those days. (a speed pass system like Disney uses would be fair for everyone). Discounted prices for the Back Yard BBQ for Gold pass users. Longer operating season, operate regular days up until HH. -
HH is a great time, we take our young kids, who were less scared than some of the older kids at the park. One stead fast rule "You don't touch the monsters, They won't touch you!" Expect loud noises and some long lines, but the lines do move fast, so don't get discouraged.
