  1. Why did Paramount decide to have it in the first place then? If Paramount would have cancelled it, then that would show that they don't have a clue. CF is just doing what they do best. By not having WF, they can have more time to do work on the park for next year, and BOY does it need it! -adam12
  2. Sorry, not everyone looks back a whole year, nore do they remeber all the topics...
  3. I hope that one day everyone can be as happy as they were in 1972. The costomer service just isn't there anymore. Disney Employees are thrilled you came to visit the park, why can't Kings Island be the same way? -adam12
  4. Buca De Bepo's would be AWESOME!!! I was thinking something like a The Cheesecake Factory, or how about a Long Horn Steak House, something that is sooooo got the place is packed all the time and people want to go there off season too! http://www.thecheesecakefactory.com/ http://www.longhornsteakhouse.com/splash.asp -adam12
  5. I guess maybe I just need to get a job at Kings Island one day to see all this stuff!
  6. We can have all that! Build great attractions, but every 5 years, build a real gut-buster that breaks records! -adam12
  7. Where is the "history of the park display"??? I would love to see it!
  8. I think you are full of crap! Kings Island needs to get back in the game and start breaking records again. Also at the same time provide GREAT entertainment! Yeah, we wasted 15 years, but Cedar Point has been around since 1870 and is still going strong. That being said we have MANY great years to come! You won't be disappointed! I promise there will be something for everyone! -adam12
  9. Sounds like you've described The Beast. <G> As far as the comparison for the want for more themeing, it is more than just bells and whistles. Take a look at the raves about the restoration of Festhaus. I don't think you can really call those extreme modifications or restorations but they do the trick. When I heard about the screens and projectors leaving the Festhaus, it was like a black cloud had lifted and I could see the sun again! I haven't been back since CF officially took over, I'm going to try to get down there this weekend. -adam12
  10. Coasters are still nothing like The Beast. The Beast was born a Classic and will always be so. I don't think there will ever be another coaster built anything close to it... When they built Son of Beast, I thought The Beast's days were numbered. Then I road SOB... SOB is faster and taller, but will NEVER have what The Beast has. I see The Beast like a 1959 Cadillac Fleetwood Convertible. They will never make them like that again! I wish GM would make just one BIG gas guzzling model of a car and make it a Cadillac convertible. They make the HUGE trucks and SUVs so why not?!?!? http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt...6lr%3D%26sa%3DN
  11. I would love nothing more than to be put in charge of Kings Island and walk through the park and point and shout orders. There are little things all over the park that need to be done that would make a big impression on the guests and wouldn't cost much money at all. When I walked into the park the first time this year, (I think it was the end of May) the place seemed to be stripped and lost it's character. I can't wait to see what CF will do in the next 5 years! -adam12

    SOB

I don't see SOB leaving, I mean IT IS HUGE! I would love to see the books, I want to know how much they have spent in upkeep. The thing cost 15 mill to build, so there is no way they spend millions on upkeep every year! If they did, they would just re-build it. I saw footage from copper 7 on the news last night, that thing is massive! Think about it. -adam12
  13. Paramount screwed us to the end!
  14. YES!!! YES YES YES YESSSSSSSS That is a sign! Man oh man, I just know they will put the shows back in there! I'm standing beside myself right now! -adam12
  15. Sad stuff... We do have something going for us though... CF loves to break records and be the biggest and best. That being said, maybe they will do a major overhaul and make it taller! -adam12 :-)
  16. I couldn't agree more! at this point it sound like it would be better in the long run to almost rebuild the thing. Or do a massive over haul, maybe the guys that built The Beast can fix it, or over see it anyways. I REALLY don't want to see this ride go! -adam12 The problem is that if it goes, we lose another wood coaster from the world. It seems that the likelyhood of CF building another Wood Coaster in it's place would be slim. They'd just go ahead and build a steal coaster and the world would be down another wooden monument. What will be the tallest Wooden Roller Coaster in the world now?!??!?!! I'm sure they have built taller than The Beast other than SOB...
  17. I couldn't agree more! at this point it sound like it would be better in the long run to almost rebuild the thing. Or do a massive over haul, maybe the guys that built The Beast can fix it, or over see it anyways. I REALLY don't want to see this ride go! Another issue is, when putting together a big project like SOB, you always go over budget, unless you cut corners. Knowing Paramout, they did everything in their power to prevent going over budgent and in turn caused SOB not to be the best it could be. Sad... Very sad... -adam12
  18. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,202782,00.html It only covers one acre? I can't believe something that only covers one acre costs 17 mill! -adam12
  19. New Trains would be very nice! I'm 6'2" 220lbs and I have a hard time fitting in the cars. My knees hit and well, the seat is just plain too small! -adam12
  20. Thats exactly it right there. Everybody expects it to be smoothe... HELLO!!! its a wooden roller coaster that is 218 feet tall and goes 78 mph at top speeds! how the heck is that smoothe? I threw my pop bottle at the t.v. after some guy on channel 12 from indiana said " i expected it to be so smoothe and relaxing.. not for it to beat me up" or something of the same matter. People theses days expect to much and do stuff for dumb reasons.. That guy from Indiana obvously hadn't been on a wooden coaster before. Even The Beastie will give ya a little jolt. There isn't ANYTHING relaxing about SOB. ROFL! -adam12
  21. AMEN brother! You can't put a price on human life. God Bless, -adam12
  22. I just don't know what to say... I really wish the same people that designed and constructed "The Beast" would have created "Son of Beast" as well. It would have probably cost a few more million, but it would have stood the test of time much like "The Beast." This whole situation makes my heart hurt, because I really want to like SOB, but at the same time I want to bad mouth Paramount for not making this project a success. On another note, this is a wooden coaster, they will tear you up if you don't brace yourself. I hope everyone is keeping the riders that got hurt and the staff at Kings Island in their prayers. With God's help we will all get through this. -adam12
  23. Why did they sell off some of the land?
  24. I like how you think! Back in the 70's and 80's Kings Island had a lot of their paths painted different colors. They use to have sculpted bushes and trees around the royal fountain and in Coney Mall. I think there is a lot to be said for a clean well landscaped park. I hope CF owns Kings Island for the next 100 years; they eat sleep and drink amusement/entertainment. I didn't know this, but I guess CP has 9 shows! How many does Kings Island have? 1 JUST 1 (worth seeing)! I have to say School of Rock is one of the better shows I have seen. That Star Search Live is just sad and isn’t considered a show in my book, it is just an over rated karaoke contest. -adam12
