  1. Dollywoods train is very well done. I think my favorite train was Oprylands. The funny thing was that their train was just transportation with no characters or anything. But the park was beautiful. I have to hand it to Gaylord Entertainment... Even though they closed down a great park, they still do a Great job keeping the Mall, Opry, and Hotel up. Have you ever been to the Opry? I have been there about 5 times, my friends think I'm crazy for going. I love it! lol... -adam12
  2. I like that name "Demon Drop" They could repaint it to match the name. I'm really getting tired of the movie theming. -adam12
  3. Well at one time the train used to stop by the old fort. There would be a fight between the Cowboys and the Indians and they would actually board the train. It was really quite an experience. That was a LONG TIME ago! I would love to see that again, I can faintly remeber that. Ya see, I have had a Paramount case of diarrhea so that caused me to loose track of my thoughts. Have you experienced the one at Dollywood? The only issue I had with Dollywood was not everyone could hear what was going on. They need to make sure the sound system works well and sounds good. I really should get into the business. I'm very detail oriented; anywhere they want to make things perfect they could place me there. -adam12
  4. They use to have automated figures in a lot of places. If you look closely, you will see all the electric plugs where they were plugged in. They should really do it like Dollywood does; the train would make a great place for a western show! I know the show at Dollywood is great fun and funny too. They could do a show like once an hour. That would be ton of fun to dress up in all that get up and crack a few jokes. There is noting more fun than getting a train load of people to laugh themselves to stitches. -adam12
  5. I can't wait to get things back on track! I don't know if they will make Kings Island a total amusement park again, but it will be more of one than it is now! -adam12
  6. Which car were you riding in? If you were in the front or back cars, you will get tore up! That is just the way The Beast is, I haven't been on anything as rough as the front or back cars of The Beast! Breaks or no breaks... -adam12 The Front Car? No way! I think that on woodies the rear car always beats ya up though. Man o man, I will tell you that the last time I was down there the front car was just as bad as the back... I'm going to try the middle and see if it is any better. I don't care who ya are though The Beast RULES and always will!!! -adam12

  8. Well ya'll know that I'd sooner throw myself from the tower than to put Paramount in front of any of the parks fine names. Just my opinion though. I'm so thankful for you being a member of this site. It is nice to know I'm not the only one that feels this way! Just let Kings Island be Kings Island!!! -adam12

    Six Flags

How many parks has Six Flags closed or sold off? Are they still in trouble? They really should get their act together or Cedar Fair will buy them too in about 15-20 years! -adam12
  11. http://www.pointbuzz.com/news.htm?id=928 "The former owner of Kings Island's, Taft Broadcasting Company, made a play for Cedar Point in the 1970s. Cedar Point wasn't even for sale." That's AWESOME! Can you imagine if that would have went through? Kings Island would have been "King of Ohio" when it comes to amusement parks! -adam12
  12. Like maybe Antique Cars or something?!? I even have a great location for it. There is a spot right between Coney Mall and Rivertown at the end of the Eifel Tower. <G> ROFL!
  13. I think we need to start a club. Those who love Kings Island for what it once was and what it can be. lol... I didn't know what to think about CF, after doing some reading and thinking. I bet they don't put the CF name on anything, it will ALL be Kings Island again! Just look at the Six Flags park they bought, the name doesn't have anything to do with Cedar Fair. I like that, every park needs to be original and have its own attractions. The more I hear the more I like Cedar Fair, they have been in the business since 1870. I hope they hold onto the parks for many years to come. One can only hope that they will become a staple like Disney. Another thing I like is that they are ONLY in the amusement park business and no other. They have no other products to push on their guests; that will make the park more like it once was. I really can't wait to see what they do with the Festhaus; I bet we will see some awesome shows! -adam12
  14. ROFL, good man. -adam12
  15. Decent state? PKI already is at a decent state. If it wasn't, then why did more people visit PKI than CP? Go jump in a lake, you have no idea what you are talking about. Ha! and neither do you. I will give you this... I'm thankful that Paramount kept Kings Island afloat and didn't run it completely into the ground just to make a few bucks. I guess you could say that I have more sprit than I do business sense. I believe you can have both, I would rather take less profit and make Kings Island the best it can be. You all can say what you want, but Kings Island is a very original idea and is nothing like any other amusement park. How many other parks do you know of that had their own employees create a roller coaster? Not just any roller coaster, but The Beast! I don't know for sure, but I bet Cedar Fair puts Kings Island back on the map as an amusement park (like CP) as it was meant to be. I remember going to KI when I was a kid and my dad telling me the difference between Kings Island and Disney World. He told me that I wouldn't like Disney as much as KI because they don't have large rides; they are a theme park. There are 2 reasons why Paramount made a sorry attempt to change Kings Island into a theme park; they wanted to promote all their shows/movies and it is cheaper. -adam12 Um... wasn't PKI the most visited seasonal park in USA last season? I think they were allready on the map... Exactly, Paramount was cheap? THey invested more money into the park and put in high class attractions each year. Im sure if you were in charge of a business you wouldnt run it for money but because you like fun, note the sarcasm there. Your probably 14 and have no idea how a business particuarly an amusement park is run besides your limited roller coaster tycoon knowledge. Put PKI back on the map? PKI beat CP in attendance. If PKI was as bad as you make it out to be then Cedar Fair would have bought it but due to the fact thats its a world class, magnificant, and well run park, it was worth the money spend to aquire it and its sister parks. Just a guess, but I bet I was riding roller coasters when you were just a twinkle in your parents eyes. I look toward the future when it comes to investing, same goes when thinking about a business. I don't think of the here and now near as much as I think about down the road. Have you started your Roth IRA yet? How about contributing to your 401K? Do you own your home? A home is a great investment, not the best but it is a great place to put your money besides your retirement or mutual fund. How about debt? Do you have much debt? Do you have good debt or bad debt? Do you visit Check into Cash or Check Exchange very often? How about car loans? What interest rate do you have on your car? I prefer to pay cash for my cars; it isn't wise to owe money on something that is depreciating in value. How about school loans? I would love to hear what you have to say... I know the business world and how it works, I also have a heart and when it comes to business I'm 110% focused on the customer and what could possibly make them happier and make them want to spend more money. It isn't always about the bottom line, that will get you into trouble fast! Call in the bean counters; they will REALLY bring in the customers! YEE HAW! GIT-R-DONE! RACK’EM STACK’EM and PACK’EM! That works in the short term, but how about 5 or 10 years down the road? It wouldn’t look pretty once people saw the total and utter lack of customer focus and investment. I'm sure anyone that has been in customer service before will agree with me, a little kindness and appreciation for the customer will go a long way. And that includes thinking about your guest's comfort at amusement parks. High priced food, dirty sidewalks, lack of entertainment, and bad customer service isn’t going to cut it. I have yet to have an employee come up to me and ask me how my day is going and if there is anything they can help me with since Paramount bought the park. This always happens at Disney, Bush Gardens, and Universal. The only time Kings Island employees talk to me is when they want to take my picture and charge me a pile of money for it. No one smiles at Kings Island anymore, and they have good reasons not to! -adam12

  17. Yeah, at least Wooferbear has some idea of what he's talking about (even though some of his arguments make no sense). I am yet to see one argument from you as to why you hate the park. At least Wooferbear says why. Oh, I said why... You should look through my posts, I don't have the time to sort through them. I get tired of repeating myself, I should get them all together and keep reposting them when someone like you forgets. Thanks much, adam12
  18. No, just Paramount... Thanks for asking.
  19. OH, but they are broke my friend!!! How can you say that when we only have 2 shows this year?!?! I bet we will see some huge coasters in the next few years! -adam12

  21. Dollywood has 24 shows not counting the 10 they offer at Christmas! You have to wonder... WHY IS THAT SO HARD?!?!?!? I hope they do buy the park. From what I remeber when I was there 3 or 4 years ago their theming and landscaping is very nice. -adam12

    PKI Sold?

Those were all replys to different people... It is easier to understand if I comment on seprate quotes...
  23. VERY TRUE! I second that one!
  24. I like your ideas... If Bud really wants it they will get it. They have cashflow that will pretty much never end. Not to mention that CF won't have the cash to expand the park for a few years due the this large purchase. If they did buy all 5 parks, they are full of crap and getting way over their heads. I would hate to see all the parks go under due to bankruptcy, but then on the other hand, maybe it would be good. Kings Island would be half price and then maybe my uncle could afford it! -adam12
