I was there Yesterday (I actually think I saw you exiting Vortex as I was getting on) and The Beast wasn't open for ERT that morning, and Action Theater didn't open until late in the afternoon and even then it was only running in 2D rather than 3D. We weren't even given glasses when we went to ride it.

Well yes, obviously calling in sick and then coming to enjoy the park is a stupid move. But i've told them explicitly "Hey, my family will be here on October 30th and they want me to go through Haunt with them." I've given them nearly two full months notice that I would like to have that day off so I could enjoy Haunt with family members that I don't get to see often. Given that, I really don't foresee it being a problem with me having one night off, but if it is a problem, then at least I know that i'll be able to scare them as they walk through Urgent Scare.

Well they make you fill out an availability sheet where you check off every day you're able to work. I checked off all days but one, which is when some of my family from out of town will be coming and going to Haunt with me, and my interviewer told me that that would be fine as long as it was just the one day.

The best day I have ever had at KI was the Saturday of Ride Warriors Weekend, because that was when I first met anyone from KIC in the park, and there was a massive group of us. It was amazing.

This year will be my first year working Haunt and i'll be in US Really looking forward to it. Also looking forward to going through said nameless attraction on the night that I requested off to go with my out-of-area family. If you are working the Haunt and have requested the night off. You can not come to the park and go thought the mazes. They look at it as if you can come to the park then you can work. Well the woman that interviewed me, whom I would trust more than some random person on a forum, told me that it wouldn't be an issue when I told her why I had requested that night off.

Null vote, cause I haven't been on most of them so it wouldn't be a fair contest.

Eh, Haunt isn't really the best way to be spending Friday/Saturday nights, but there are definitely worse things to be doing. I know for a fact that it terrifies me beyond imagination going through some of these attractions, but I guess that the whole point in going is to be scared. Not to mention my friends seem to get a kick out of me screaming my head off, and frankly so do I. That alone makes the whole experience worthwhile for me.

Coaster amateur. I've ridden all that KI has to offer, Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom, and The Incredible Hulk and Dueling Dragons at Universal Studios: Islands of Adventure. Hasn't been a good season for me. I plan on getting out to many more parks next season though

I'd love to go, but I can't see myself paying for admission one day when I can just wait until the next day and get in for free, lol. I hope everyone that goes has fun though, and that KI has managed to keep the bulk of the haters out

No or it would say SLINGSHOT I think it is in the 50's range. fastest ride in the park Yes, Slingshot "launches" you at around 100 MPH. Quoted from the KICentral.com info page on Slingshot:

Rachel and I were considering walking the 5k, but I doubt we're going to wind up doing it though. But good luck to you, HTCO, and to anyone else who is running in the 5k/10k.

But we really do need to come up with something to top it

I very highly doubt it. I don't claim to be an expert on KI (Despite what my forum title says) but turning around the trains of any coaster, especially one as trimmed as Beast, would be too much of a nightmare for maintenance (Spelling?) for the park to bother with it.

I was in line for Adventure Express and a guy in the 1-1 pulled out a camera just as the ride ops dispatched the train, and the op in the control booth put on the emergency brakes and said over the PA "Please refrain from the use of cameras while riding Adventure Express". The guy just turned to the other person in his row and started talking. After the ride op repeated himself for the 3rd time the guy finally got the hint and put his camera away.

I honestly prefer 1-1. I like the wind in my face.
