  1. I was look at this thread awhile ago and then came back and once I saw so many posts in such little time I knew the trains were there! It won't be long before the green and tan trains roll in!
  2. Congrats to all of you who have jobs this season! Reading all of your stories makes me even more excited to try and get my first KI job next season!
  3. Flat Ride wise... I usually like The Crypt (Former Tomb Raider: The Ride). It offers a very intense experience that is great for people who like that sort of thing. With roller coasters (Although I love everyone of them!), you should try Diamondback, but I haven't rode that yet so I can't really list it as one of my favorites yet. I would say you should ride The Racer, a great classic woody with a usually short wait, and The Beast, another great and legendary woody! I would also recommend FoF for the same reason Bandguy posted above. Another flat ride I would also recommend is Drop Tower, although it still freaks the living daylights out of me! Food wise... as far as I know this season there probably won't be a sit-down restraunt, but everything is kind of expensive so I would recommend driving out of the park to get something to eat locally and come back afterwards. Usually the best times for smaller crowds is at the beginning (minus first day) and at the end of the season. Crowds are also usally smallest in the middle of the weekend as opposed to weekends.
  4. I believe only those who win pay, but it is still a lot of money!
  5. Did anybody notice that they added a ton of seats to the grid.... now I have two bids, one at $65.00 and one at $111.11. I like giving money to charity but I just can't give up that much money... I'll have to try to get that fixed.
  6. I just got outbid, so I bumped it up to $111.11 because that number just sounded cool. Plus, now I am right below Don H.!
  7. I think what could be returning is the pond by The Beast entrance, with the running water and everything! I think this, along with the paw prints would bring The Beast back to how it was before. And since it's The Beast's 30th anniversary and they said they would be bringing something back this sounds like the perfect fit! G-Force, sending in his two cents...
  8. My bet is placed on the new Paramount Story replacement. I bet they could put a Phantom Theater car in there too and maybe an animatronic.
  9. Haha! That is what I've been thinking for the longest time!
  10. I put my bid in at $65 but I will go higher if I am out bid!
  11. ^An actual answer is that I believe the moderators said that the event would go rain or shine awhile back so I am guessing that means the event will be on no matter what.
  12. ^That idea really does sound cool! It makes since to, you could have an Octoberfest celebration in the rides side and the Haunt on the water park side! Great idea!
  13. I bet you could get together with some other workers in the same area as you for a car pool and you could save a lot of money that way, that's what I'm doing when I get my job there in 1-2 years!
  14. I just want some spotlights coming from the bottom of the supports shining upward, no lights anywhere else because that would ruin what seems like a great night-riding roller coaster.
  15. Don't worry, I'm sure Don will pass out special Diamondback branded straight jackets for all of us! That would be an odd thing to see on the webcam!
  16. And, today, Diamondback was born! Feels so good to finally see it complete!
  17. I still remember being lucky enough to be at the park the day the first track appeared by the splashdown. I remember being so excited! But it will be even more exciting to see it completed in person!
  18. Actually I am pretty sure all gambling has the age limit of 21. But, correct me if I am wrong.
  19. I understand that but I would like to take my apples and leave for $194 cheaper!
  20. I didn't know KI was doing this, and I am pretty sure it is new, correct me if I am wrong, but here it is on KI's own website: http://www.visitkingsisland.com/visit/visit_vip.cfm Just thought this was intresting.. EDIT: Yikes! $200! KIC gives me the same thing for $6 plus even more!
  21. I can't seem to find this, but I knew I saw it somewhere... what time will this event be?
  22. This will also be my first KIC event! I just can't wait to walk through International Street and make my way to Rivertown where I get to see Diamondback up close! It would be really cool if one of the shipments of Diamondback's cars are on site for us to see!
  23. I think just waiting in the queue for Diamondback will wake me up! Even after camping out in the drop off area all night!
  24. Ok, I have a question that kind of fits in this thread since it is about the first opportunity to ride Diamondback, I renewed my Gold Pass at the end of last year for $85 and printed out the reciept but never got the chance to get it scanned and stuff. So I am just wondering, since I want to be one of the first on Diamondback that day, when I could possibly have this stuff taken care of before this date, also, I thought I heard something once that said you could get into the park once with just the reciept, is that true, or do I have to go to the season pass area to get my pass renewed? Thanks in advance- G-Force
  25. Seems to be more nostalgia heading to the park in 2009! I love the idea of stilt walkers! Sounds like another strong 2009 show season might be coming our way!
