I used that last year for sound effects during Trick or Treat. I was hoping someone would recognize it but no one did.

I am looking forward to viewing this when I get home. I have tried the site from work where we are running some ancient version of Interenet Explorer (version 5 I think) and it does not display correctly at all.

I love The Beast, but I have to say the rides really seem to vary on it. Sometimes it feels way faster than others and even sitting in a middle or front row seat in a car, it feels bumpier sometimes more than others. I don't get to KI as much as a lot of you but I did make two trips in one week recently and Beast rode great the first trip and very disapointing the second (both rough and slow). Does time of day have anything to do with it? To me it seems to run better latter in the day. Night rides always rock, but so much when they don't have all those lights on.

its called trim brakes O:) lol Not the part I'm referring to. I don't remember exactly where, but one of the hills after the hammerhead seems really rough. (or maybe there is a trim at the place I'm thinking of - I'm curious now, and I'll have to check next time!) I know where you are talking about. There is a little shake at the bottom of the hill coming out of the hammerhead right befor you go back up the next hill where the trim brake is at.

not my favorite, but I do typically ride it and I would hate to see it go away.

Is Holiday World worth visiting?
Aaron88stang replied to KYCavsFan's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I would not say better than KI. They do some things better, but it is a lot smaller. What they lack in size though, they make up in quality. If you like wooden coasters, they have 3 of the best around. I believe it is worth a trip. I usually go once a year. -
The whole fridge thing never bothered me as much as the part where Shia is swinging through the trees with the monkeys. For some reason that looks totally fake to me and seems less plausible than the surviving the bomb in the fridge.

I guess I am the only one that actually enjoyed the last Indy movie...Raiders and Last Crusade it was not but it is as good as Temple of Doom in my opinion.

I always assumed it was just planned that way but it does seem a bit strange. I remember my first ride on it thinking something big was about to happen and then...well we all know how it ends.

What level of intensity do you perfer in your rides?
Aaron88stang replied to McSalsa's topic in KI Polls
It took me a while to do hands up on Voyage but I finally did it during Holiwood Nights. -
This thread makes me feel a lot better. I thought I was the only one on this forum that gets motion sickness on a regular basis. I can not even think about going to a park without dramamine...The amount and type of food in my stomach makes a differnce and I generally do much better with cool temps and cloudy skys, but I basically just have to watch what I ride and pace myself throwing in some less intense rides into the mix. Anything that just spins in circles is now out of the question for me.

I used to go to KI only once per year. The construction of DB alone got multiple trips from me last season and this year I bought a goldpass. Also I know of at least one other person with the same story.

Nice PTR. I was there too, but my party skipped out on the Saturday night ERT when the weather showed up. We did however do the Friday night ERT. When we arrived Friday Legend and Pilgrims Plunge were both down and had been all day. During the Friday night get together in the picnic area Will Koch told us all teh nature of the problems and informed us that Legend would be up for ERT and Pilgrims Plunge would most likely be up Saturday due to the park (and Will) going above and beyond to get the replacement parts needed to get them both operating. This little park really does a great job and that Applause Award is well deserved.

I just left Holiday World and we had some bad weather there including some small hail there. My group decided not to wait out the storm for the ERT tonight, so we headed back to the hotel. Sky is clear now so hopefully those that stayed are riding coasters by now.

Going to Dollywood any suggestions
Aaron88stang replied to Beast79's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Does the Qbot cost extra or is it just first come first served? -
The condition of your firends phone depends on where he lost it. I got mine back in one piece but I lost is on the small hill on the return next to the Crypt exit. If it was from one of the taller hills I would not expect it to be functional.

thanks. that's what I needed to know.

For those of you have done this before, does the ERT apply to the friends as well or just the passholder? Also do you just buy the tickets at the park or do you have to order them in advance? I am planning on taking my dad for fathers day and I am just trying to get our plans together.

Terminator Salvation coaster trains
Aaron88stang replied to raptorcp21's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I had a hard time getting past the whole wooden Terminator coaster thing, but I really like the look of it. I bet it will be a blast to ride. It's like Thunderhead with killer robots! It's too bad I will probably never make it out there to ride it... -
we made it through what looked like a long line a couple weeks ago in about 30 minutes. They were really moving fast. Also the same day they let a couple of my friends in the park without processing. They told them to go on in and come back later in the day when the line was shorter.
