It's time for my rebutle on this. The only thing I'm going to say is that it ****es me off to hear people saying that the ride was poorly maintained and neglected. That is completely false. Our maintenance workers arrive 5 hours before the park opens to walk track and inspect it for any problems. They do this every single day. If they find the slightest problem with the track or the structure, they will keep the ride down and fix that section that has the problem. As a matter of fact, that day we were down for a couple hours so they could do some track work on the first drop. Obviously, the problem it had later that day was not spotted, and I dont know who's fault it is or what. But maintenance will inspect track in the mornings, and they check on the ride throughout the day. Also, they test ride it every morning before we open and throughout the day they will come up and ride with a full loaded train. So if you still think thats neglect, then that's your opinion, but the fact of the matter is that they DO NOT neglect that ride. Thanks.

If your interested, you should give the park a call and talk to them. It really depends on your experience. If you have minimal experience, you will get hired on as seasonal maintenance. Once positions open up or they feel you are doing an outstanding job, then you might get a fulltime position. Just call and ask.

DZ got repainted, we had to clean up after the painters after they were done. And plus we saw them doing it.

The green boxes are a new safety measure to look out for employee safety. All major coasters with the exception of Face/Off (because they are behind locked gates and booths anyway) are getting the green zones. Yes its going to be similar to SOB's green zones but more confined. I know at Top Gun we're putting a box in front of the exit gate and in front of the kiddie coralle. Also all pre-existing green lines are going to be filled in with green paint. So at rides like Vortex where the load side operator stands behind a green line, will now be a green box. Again its just an extra safety precaution.

The music has always been playing through SOB station and the queue, it was just turned up a notch. It's the Action Zone soundtrack.

DZ is looking good, they are about half way done with it. It ran fine today and is currently scheduled to operate this weekend, but thats subject to change.

As far as you all and myself are concerned, it could be Six Flags, Cedar Fair, Dollywood, or freaking Hustler Hollywood buying the parks, we wont know until the day it's announced. Nobody on this thread knows, dont take anybodys word for anything when it comes to this topic. Like I said before, just wait for the announcement and in the meantime, dont worry! It will all be ok.

Thats nothing compared to that oh so fateful day in 2002 when the park reached its capacity and signs were posted out front to go and come back another day. You think waiting 22 mins for AE is bad, try waiting an hour and a half for Congo Falls!

That so called "tunnel" on SOB is (like what was said earlier) nothing more than a bunch of tarps, its for maintenance when they are doing track work. They had it up on the rosebowl last year when they were working out there. Sorry guys, no tunnel is coming in the near future to the son.
