I couldn't have said it better myself. I have friends in Wisconsin and Canada that laugh at the way we flip out over an inch of snow down here, they are like come up here, you will see REAL snow. People around here drive 40 mph on state routes when it's RAINING.. I mean come on, I have a job to get to, move the ____ out of the way.

I hear you. The back seat is AMAZING on MF. Try it on TTD. You feel like your soul gets pulled from your body on the launch, and getting yanked over the tophat is quite an experience.

It seems that if we stayed on topic, this thread would not be 208 pages long. It also seems that this thread has lost its original appeal and purpose, much like many, many others. I have taken to asking people over AIM if there are DB updates, because any update will certainly get lost in a thread like this while everyone here is bickering for pages and pages about something completely irrelevant.

I can't wait to ride Drop Tower again. And Slingshot, Flight of Fear, Beast, and BLSC. I can't wait to hear the sounds of the park (the chain lifts, screams of terrified riders, the roar/hum Delirium makes) again. Oh, and that big reddish yellowish pointy thingy. z0mg is that a new coaster?! Green skies also come with a bow echo, one of the most damaging forms of thunderstorms I've ever seen in my life. A strong one will do more damage than most tornadoes, especially if you are in the path of the center of the storm where the straight line winds are the strongest.

That is horribly sad. My thoughts and prayers go out to them.

You might be a KI addict if you.. - are on here posting before you shower or even eat breakfast - take photos solely for the purpose of PTRs - drive down to KI after work just to squeeze in as many trips as you can

Sure, I love meeting new coaster people! But if it's going to be as cold on closing day next year as it was this year, you'd better be prepared. Go to my CP closing day TR and read what I had to wear to stay warm. The breeze off the lake was viciously cold, though the trip was definitely worth it to go up there and see such short, almost nonexistent lines.

Agreed. I went to CP on closing day and the line for Dragster wasn't even to the bottom of the ramp the whole day. Millennium Force was a walk on all day, and so was Wicked Twister, Raptor, and Magnum. I've seen MF with the queues full all the way to the switchbacks and outside of the queue almost to the lockers. I've seen TTD's queue completely full and backed up outside the queue to the grandstand. Don't even get me started on Maverick's line. If anyone wants to question ride popularity, try braving CP on a warm, sunny Saturday.

My ex took me there for my 25th birthday last year. The city is definitely beautiful. I loved walking through the shark tank, with sharks swimming all around you, you could even see them under your feet. That was wild.. although the petting tank was indeed cold. I love birds, so the lorikeets and the penguins were pretty cool. Glad to see you and the kids had a great time. Newport Aquarium is definitely fun for all ages, I loved it and plan on going back sometime.
