  1. I think I speak for all of us when I say those photos are AMAZING. And they are more than appreciated, that's for sure.
  2. I'm making a sad face because it won't let me open the file due to me not having the proper OS for the widget to work. It's OK, I'll just get a generic countdown from blingyblob or something.
  3. I don't have Mac OS X.. I have Windows XP
  4. 13 times to KI including opening day. 7 times to CP including closing day. Lost count of how many times I said my last trip was my last.. oh, how I miss my precious Millennium Force already.. *long, drawn-out sigh* 38 wonderful rides on that flawless coaster this year.
  5. I used all of my vacation days this year. Sadly, I'm not going to be able to make it to Dollywood next month. I was looking forward to spending time with people, I can only spend limited amounts of time with them while they are working (most of my friends up north are CP employees).. ah well, maybe next year..
  6. Agreed. If a coaster is truly a gem (for example, Millennium Force), you shouldn't have to re-learn how to ride. A roller coaster should be an enjoyable experience. I have, however, learned to keep my head back against the headrest on launched coasters and coasters with OTSRs (for example, Maverick, TTD, Wicked Twister, Invertigo, and FOF) simply because I do not want whiplash or sore ears. I do, however, keep my hands up and outside of the car at all times.
  7. Mine too. I barely remember the park, but I have a shot glass from there. It's frosted and has little carousel horses on it. My mom bought it, but gave it to me after my obsession with amusement parks began.
  8. I thought I was the only one getting tired of some people using these forums as chat rooms.
  9. I suppose my question wasn't a valid one. Sorry about that.
  10. Same here. I like to have a few drinks every now and then, and when I do consume them in the presence of people I don't know, I take drinks from it in a ladylike fashion. If I do get a little sloshed, I mostly laugh and joke, I do not act like an imbecile. I smoke too, but even in designated smoking areas I never blow smoke toward anyone's face or flick my ashes in their direction regardless if they are a smoker or not. I also put out my cig butt and dispose of it properly. People really need to learn manners, and it disgusts me when people act otherwise.
  11. This may have been asked about 946,000 times already, but I cannot find an answer. Where exactly is DB's entrance going to be? I know I can count on you photoshop artists, drawers, and webcam-watchers here.. is there a way someone could draft out an estimated map of the layout of not only the coaster, but the entrance and queue? I am very curious to see what some think.. I know some of you like doing this kind of thing, so there's your challenge for the day!
  12. The front page reads Diamondback Constuction.
  13. I shove king size bags of M&Ms, chewy Spree, etc. into my pockets before I walk into the park. I'm not paying $2 at the park for a regular sized bag when I can get 3 at my work for $2. The candy in the machines at CP is $1.25, but still, that's outrageous. I drive an hour to KI and 3 hours to CP, I'm spending enough in gas getting to the parks.
  14. Yes, I walked all the way back around.. actually I ran because it was cold and I wanted to get my blood moving
  15. Interp thought of that..... LOL!!!! Sorry, Terpy, just had to!!! BAD Terpy! I'm so glad I renewed my platinum for next year. I told a friend of mine about season pass preview day (he has a CF platinum pass), and he refuses to believe me.
  16. If the person who thought of this was standing in front of me, I'd kiss them. That seriously just put the biggest smile on my face.
  17. I had a very hard time picking between floorless, inverted, and giga.. so I choose other. Another favorite of mine is launched coasters.
  18. Yeah. They had the third train off to the side. I also forgot to mention that at one point while I was in line for TTD toward the end of the night, they started playing the Maverick music in the queue. It was hilarious, everyone was like what the heck?
  19. I rode TTD 5 times Sunday, once in the very front, and trust me I'd take TTD's launch over FOF's launch any day. It feels like you are being pulled inside out. I LOVE DRAGSTER!! By the way, the drop is 400 feet, but the coaster itself is 420 feet high. Glad to hear you had a great last day at KI, I already miss the place. Six months with no Drop Tower. I am not looking forward to the withdrawal symptoms.
  20. The board was reading that around 11 am. Then again, at one point the board was reading 3/4 hour and the line wasn't even to the bottom of the ramp.
  21. I know. At one point toward the end of the afternoon, I was waiting for Kat and Garrett to get off Magnum so I could meet them for the first time. I looked up at Dragster gleaming in the fading sunlight as the train roared up the hill, and a seagull flew over. It was beautiful. It hit me then like a ton of bricks that this really was the last day, and it took everything I had to keep the tears from coming. Anyone who's been there knows the feeling CP gives you, it's like your heart is being squeezed in a vice when you even think about what time to head home.
  22. 38 rides on Millennium Force. An estimated 42 rides on Drop Tower.
  23. I was literally praying with crossed fingers for a rollback while on the train. Of course, I SAW one, but didn't get one.. oh well. Maybe next year.
