I do. There is a lot of the old Paramount theming in the photos, and several photos of Drop Zone-Tower, and Invertigo-Face/Off. There is also a very green pic of Swan Lake.

I apologize for the poor quality. These photos were taken with a throwaway camera, and I scanned them as a collage before cropping and saving each photo as its own file. The date on these photos is June 23, 2000.

Once people stop pouting and realize that it's not the end of the world (yes, Diamondback is still being built and yes, we will still get to ride it), things in this thread will cool down (I hope). No offense, but some of you really need to chill out. We are getting a B&M hyper at our home park, something many of us never imagined would happen. And he just said there will still be ERT on it every morning. ..Can't you be happy about that? Preview Day may be gone, but your opportunity to ride it is not.

I have lost my voice to Drop Tower, MF's first drop, and TTD.

!!!!! I never, ever wear my glasses to amusement parks. Contacts are much easier.. though one of them started fluttering on MF and they blew to the sides for a second on TTD in the front seat..

I lost several arcade tokens to Invertigo about 7 years ago, some of which hit me in the face as we flipped upside down. This year: I lost a pair of shades to Flight of Fear (they were in my friend's shirt, she pulled them out after the ride and they were in 3 pieces), and I lost 2 pair of shades to Millennium Force. I "lost" a pair of shades to Dragster. I put them in my hoodie pocket, and believe it or not they stayed there throughout the ride, but when I took them out afterward, they were in 2 pieces.

If it was me, I'd be so distracted by the roar of the coaster and the screams of the thrilled riders, that after a few minutes I'd put my chores off until later (whenever that may be), and spend the rest of the day at the park. My house would NEVER be well kept if I lived next to an amusement park!

Me too. I've always been fascinated with history, and obviously I'm fascinated with amusement parks too.. put the two together and you have my attention!

I just pictured them putting the Crypt sign in front of the Dippin' part of the sign.. and we have Crypt dots.. that will get the imagination going on what such a treat would look like! And yes, I agree. I look forward to these photos so much.

Those are amazing photos. So many have been taken of the first hill, but I am dying to see more of the actual layout. Thank you! I love seeing this coaster being built, piece by piece. I still find it hard to believe the park I have been visiting for so many years is getting a coaster of this magnitude. I am very, very excited.

Same here. I could survive for the rest of my life on Cheez-Its and Mountain Dew. I do have a question. What kind of paper or ID should we show so we can get in? I don't want to just assume someone will recognize me.

I'm not. The postwhoring and straying off topic in this thread has been going on for months.

This is the special ERT scheduled for one hour after the park closes. They still have ERT every morning for an hour before the park opens. I'd rather go for morning ERT, lines are MUCH shorter. I went for MF ERT last year, and it was terrible. It was scheduled from 10-11 pm, and people (including me) started lining up at 8:45 pm. The coaster was down due to mechanical problems. At 11 pm, they announced to the entire line (which was past Mantis all the way to Iron Dragon) that ERT night was called off, and no other coaster was substituted. People were so angry that they were booing, cussing and throwing trash. IMHO, it was not at all worth it. I did, however, only end up waiting 10 minutes for MF the next day on morning ERT.

(changing subject slightly) You may be a Millennium Force addict when: on your second visit to CP in two months, one of the MF ride ops recognizes you, smiles, and says "Hey, you're back!" True story.
