It seemed the line for SPP was longer than most of the lines for the rides that day!

Yep.. it was that bad. The line for the pass processing center on opening day was back into the parking lot. Waiting until the last minute was a big, big, BIG mistake.

My dad (the one who loves coasters, and rode Magnum, TTD and MF) watched it and looked a little scared. My mom (the one who rode Racer many, many moons ago and decided "never again") watched it and says it looks amazing.

I don't really plan out my entire day at a park. I hit my favorite rides first, and then either meet up with friends or see what else the park has to offer. An amusement park to me is like a mini-vacation. I live by a schedule enough of the time in my life. Other than ERT, I don't need to go by a strict schedule when I'm at a place that makes me feel happy and carefree.

Really? I would have assumed (being that this is my first off season since becoming an enthusiast) that the first days of pass processing would have long lines. I made the mistake of waiting until opening day to process my pass last year. I waited 45 minutes in line at the processing center.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I got chills watching the video.. all 5 times.. so far. There is nothing in the world like a B&M roar.

The rackin frackin webcam isn't working for me either. I shouldn't have watched the Magnum POV yesterday after learning that DB was doing test runs. I've been crumbling with coaster withdrawal symptoms ever since. I can't watch anything that happens with DB for the rest of the day either, because I work 4 pm to midnight and KIC doesn't work with my phone.

I saw Vortex, then a fleeting image of a pile of dirt, then Racer. Then the webcam stopped working.

I went and watched the Raptor POV just so I could hear a B&M roar again. Then I got to missing CP so I watched the Magnum POV. Listening to the signature sound of Magnum's chain lift and not riding it was like a knife twisting in my heart. I have my days where I'm fine, but right now with DB doing test runs and I'm not there to see it, the off season is really getting to me.

As shocking as that is to you, yes. We pretty much missed our baby's first steps.

I'm not a big fan of Mantis at CP, but the roar it makes is pretty darn sweet. The Burger Patio is a great place to sit and eat at CP if you love the B&M roar. Raptor is SO LOUD coming down the hill and through the first loop. I could listen to that all day.

Many moons ago, someone said they can't wait to hear the signature B&M roar at Kings Island. I absolutely LOVE that sound, and can't wait for the chills it always gives me when I hear it at my home park for the first time.

When I went on September 27 last year when Haunt was just starting, the park was dead. That was the day I got 13 rides on DT in one day. I remember running all the way through the queue at night, right up to the gate. I was the ONLY person in the queue.. I looked up and the ride was only half full. That had to be the single greatest moment of my day. But.. Beast and Diamondback go up and down, up and down, and up and down again..

Fine by me.. the less people in line for Drop Tower, the happier I will be!

I'm in the same boat. I'm not quite sure yet what to do. I was thrilled when it was mentioned that over $30,000 had been raised for A Kid Again. That is simply amazing.

You do know how ridiculous of a statement this is, right?! It was just the fact that there were so many people there from KIC and I hadn't met ANY of them in person before the Blues party. I guess it was just weird looking around at all those people thinking.. who is who, I didn't know screen names or real names besides Ryan and Avatar. It was very awkward but I quickly got over it. You guys are awesome.

I second that. I hate doing the same PTR as everyone else, because it seems like everyone's creativity gets lost in the shuffle, save for the few that are known for having a camera surgically attached to their body.

Yeah that's the coaster I'm most excited about riding come april screw Diamondback Not to mention how amazing that Backlot coaster crew is! When I first rode it, I was like why am I going on a kiddy ride? Then it launched, did a bunch of wacky twists and turns, did its craziness in the pitch black tunnel and then dove UNDER the queue.. I was like whoa what the h?
