Green skies also come with a bow echo, one of the most damaging forms of thunderstorms I've ever seen in my life. A strong one will do more damage than most tornadoes, especially if you are in the path of the center of the storm where the straight line winds are the strongest.

That is horribly sad. My thoughts and prayers go out to them.

You might be a KI addict if you.. - are on here posting before you shower or even eat breakfast - take photos solely for the purpose of PTRs - drive down to KI after work just to squeeze in as many trips as you can

Sure, I love meeting new coaster people! But if it's going to be as cold on closing day next year as it was this year, you'd better be prepared. Go to my CP closing day TR and read what I had to wear to stay warm. The breeze off the lake was viciously cold, though the trip was definitely worth it to go up there and see such short, almost nonexistent lines.

Agreed. I went to CP on closing day and the line for Dragster wasn't even to the bottom of the ramp the whole day. Millennium Force was a walk on all day, and so was Wicked Twister, Raptor, and Magnum. I've seen MF with the queues full all the way to the switchbacks and outside of the queue almost to the lockers. I've seen TTD's queue completely full and backed up outside the queue to the grandstand. Don't even get me started on Maverick's line. If anyone wants to question ride popularity, try braving CP on a warm, sunny Saturday.

My ex took me there for my 25th birthday last year. The city is definitely beautiful. I loved walking through the shark tank, with sharks swimming all around you, you could even see them under your feet. That was wild.. although the petting tank was indeed cold. I love birds, so the lorikeets and the penguins were pretty cool. Glad to see you and the kids had a great time. Newport Aquarium is definitely fun for all ages, I loved it and plan on going back sometime.

That's it? We're expecting at least (edit) 20. Evidently I forgot more than I thought.. we are also having ham, mashed potatoes with gravy, pumpkin cheesecake, deviled eggs, and a veggie tray with dip.

That sounds delicious, send me one! I consider it pumpkin pie and green bean casserole day. We are having Thanksgiving at my house this year. We will be having a 16 pound turkey, cranberry sauce (the real stuff in the can, not the weird stuffing sauce), crescent rolls, green bean casserole, stuffing, pumpkin pie, cherry pie, and hopefully pecan pie. I forget what else. The stuffing, pies and casserole are all homemade by my mom. She is an amazing cook to say the least. It also depends on what everyone brings. My family get togethers are always like that, everyone will bring a dish of their famous whatever. My grandma makes some sweet potatoes like no other, and my aunt makes some fudge so rich that you can only eat one piece and you're done. If someone likes the food enough, the person who brought it will offer to send the leftovers home with them. Somehow a pan of mac and cheese always mysteriously shows up, and no one admits to bringing it, but it always gets eaten. I do hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving. I realize that lately I have been a little grouchy, and for that I do apologize. Preparing for finals as a part time student while working full time, and still trying to make time for a social life has me pretty much going insane.. add in the coaster withdrawal and you've got a situation on your hands.

You might be a KI addict if: you realize the Home City Ice machine outside your workplace has the same exact hum as Drop Tower, so it gives you a silent rush every time you walk past it.

That would take all the fun out of it! Riding coasters in darkness is a whole new experience from riding during the day. It gives me chills to remember the night rides on Millennium Force.. amazing doesn't begin to cover it.

The article says NOTHING about forgetting to put safety restraints on the rides..

I normally love surprises, but not in this case. I'd be pretty upset if I missed all the construction, updates, etc. It's always amazing to follow the creation of something as massive as Diamondback.

My thoughts exactly. Now can we get back on topic? Half of this thread is arguments, nested quotes, and kids chit chatting back and forth for pages and pages about things that have nothing to do with DB, KI, or even coasters in general. Let's get back to Diamondback please. Thank you.

The only two coasters at KI with bad capacity are Firehawk and Invertigo. Everything else was running very well whenever I went this summer.
