  1. But on a hot windy day they are enjoyed
  2. Future attendance may also suffer if inadequate staffing and long lines continue on Saturdays during Halloween Haunt. I'm sure other local haunted attractions will like that though. Did someone say Lewisburg Haunted Cave??? This is exactly why I avoid KI like the plague on Saturdays during Haunt. I'll keep my Sundays.
  3. Eating the buffet now. Worth the $5 charge. Sent from a signal coming out of the Vega system.
  4. I'll be taking them up on this Friday. Sent from a signal coming out of the Vega system.
  5. Someone order some track? Sent from a signal coming out of the Vega system.
  6. Same here when trying to access ERT yesterday at KI. The funny thing is I was talking to a family and even predicted it. I told them, "Watch, they'll look at me like I 2 heads when I show my pass from the app". sure enough. Do they not inform employees of new processes? At my work, and new change in process is always and email and a new SOP going out to everyone. Sent from a signal coming out of the Vega system.
  7. Jan 7, 2015 "Q: All company can order an Iron Horse treatment on their coasters or it’s just reserved to six flags? A: Any park can have our IBox or “IronHorse” system. Six Flags has just been so great to work with and they are keeping us busy! But, there are projects at other parks coming up in the next 2 years that utilize our IBox Track." http://www.coaster101.com/2015/01/07/rocky-mountain-construction-facebook-qa/ We know 2016's, but who are 2017's?? Just quoting as I run for the door. Lol Sent from a signal coming out of the Vega system.
  8. My predictions for the next few years. Just thinking business wise and customer wants. 2016- We already know KI is getting some new water slides in Soak City. But the 2nd addition is what I think holds a clue for the next few years. With the new Toll, I would imagine the parking lot will be repaved for next year. Due to the new north gate, look for previously wasted space on the south end to be utilized as parking spaces. 2017- Maybe a GIGA for KIs 45th Anniversary?? I could see the north end of the park being expanded out into the current parking area behind Timberwolf. Since the new spaces in the south end will make up for lost space in the north end. This makes sense, as infrastructure already exists in the area, along with an abundance of restrooms. This would allow a more condensed area, more capital per sqft. $$ Also not much grading would be required. This would allow most off the ride to stretch out on the old footprint of SOB and to wrap to the front of the park. I doubt a front gate intersection, but some sort of element upfront. Also maybe a restaurant addition up front? maybe some BBQ?? Mmmm Capture by Brian Lamm, on Flickr Capture22 by Brian Lamm, on Flickr 2018- Racer Refresh and classic flat rides return to the park. I'm not saying an RMC treatment. Just giving it some much needed retracking and paint, and a cool LED lighting package. Some new trains that maybe allow backwards operation again?? I would also look for maybe an old Enterprise to return, or any of the old flats that are just a memory. 2019- With an expanded front, we could possibly see a dark ride?? I'm thinking possibly in the old Crypt building. Maybe in Vortex's space?? I would also look for some more of those classic flat rides.
  9. 1) Banshee 2) Diamondback 3) The Beast 4) BLSC 5) Top Deck Bat 6) The Racer 7) ScooBeastOddStock 8) Flight of Fear 9) Invertigo 10) Adventure Express 11) Flying Ace 12) Firehawk 13) Vortex I don't count Surf Dog as a coaster Sent from a signal coming out of the Vega system.
  10. Well KI has a spot for it, just remove that Arrow sitting in the back of the park. Lol. But on a serious note, you would think CP would get the all clear before going ahead with construction. Sent from a signal coming out of the Vega system.
  11. Because 1 coaster only had 1 train. Most were at the water park. Yes T3 was slow, but the rest the park moved. Food lines moved also, no hour wait. The staff was on top of it. The weather wasn't glorious, 93deg and blazing sun. A lot of people tend to avoid park in weather like that. Not sure, but I sense a bias against KK. I'm saying it's perfect, but I enjoyed my time there Sunday, more than I would have at a over sold KI. There's a point when attempting to increase a daily attendance count causes customer enjoyment to drop dramatically. KK is a small park, so crowds are not going to be like Kings Island.Sent from a signal coming out of the Vega system.
  12. KK was busy, but adequately staffed. Let's just say the lines for purchasing season passes were busy. The service was great. Yeah some things they need to fix. But a great park and potential for more in the future. Sent from a signal coming out of the Vega system.
  13. Kentucky Kingdom was fun with very little wait on Sunday Not sure why people are complaining about it being busy at KI this weekend. Bring a friend for $20 and Dollar Days. What did you expect?? Dollar Days alone are very busy. That is why I choose to visit another park. smh
  14. like 345 feet to the west?Sent from a signal coming out of the Vega system.
  15. I'm taking advantage of the $20 admission at KK Sunday, since I've never been there. Then will be getting my 2016 Season Pass for 59.99 w/ all year free drinks and parking. Monday I might stop up to KI to see some friends, but have a feeling that I won't be able to use my meal plan. Last year I had to go outside of the park because every location that took the dining plan was an hour wait for food.
  16. After recent events, I wouldn't expect to see anything near any coasters that suspend. Sent from a signal coming out of the Vega system.
  17. 2012, wasn't that yesterday? Yeah once you get to a certain age 3 years is a blink in time. Sent from a signal coming out of the Vega system.
  18. You have now alluded 4 different changes and questioned the design from 1978:- change to the track for stress reasons - removal for land expansion, - removal for popularity - removal for bigger and better coasters. You sure you don't want to see the demise of Beast? HeheSent from a signal coming out of the Vega system.
  19. As for the rest of the season, when Haunt starts, expect lite crowds on Sunday's. Aka, my favorite time of year. Lol Sent from a signal coming out of the Vega system.
  20. 5 things 1) no 2)No 3)NO 4)HELL NO! 5)According to Jeff Gramke, The Beast was let loose once. Only once, and even in the inebriated state of those who took this ride; realized it was a mistake. [emoji6] Sent from a signal coming out of the Vega system.
