  1. Sorry Terpy. I know two Ians and a Heather..
  2. Yeah, I'm getting sick of my TRs and I want to start doing PTRs when I get a camera. (Birthday? Hmm?) Anyways, here we go... I was picked up by my friends mom at about 10:30 and we got to the park at about 10:50-11:00. The parking lot was pretty empty! We got our passes scanned and prepared for some riding! My first stop, as always, was Diamondback. We had an uneven group, so while four people went into the normal line, I got into the SRL. I stopped about halfway down the steps. The normal line moved very fast, and the SRL moved pretty slow. I actually only got on three trains before my group, but still, that was pretty fast. All in all, I waited about 20 minutes. We then decided on The Beast. Mainly because it remains as my favorite ride. So we got into the line which was pretty short but then this huge group of high schoolers just shoved us out of the way of the entrance and pushed into the line. The line went pretty fast, and I was suprised how fast the crew was going. Again, we waited about 20 minutes. I kind of wanted to ride in the front because I had never ridden in the front seat of The Beast, but the extra line for it was a little too much for me. I jumped in two rows back though. It was running great! I did see the red boat, and it was weeeird. After that my group wanted to ride Vortex. I didn't really feel in a Vortex mood because I had a headache, but my group wanted to. The line was really long, and at that we decided on Backlot. The line was short, so I decided why not? And I got on after about 5 minutes because a ride op came back and asked how big our group was and we told him 5. So he put us in and my friend had to ride with a single rider. It was pretty good, as always, but a little short. Then we rode Zephyr, which I usually don't like, but rode anyways. It usually makes me sick, and ruins my day. I was totally fine after riding this time. We went into X-Base, and Firehawk was an hour, as usual. We rode Flight of Fear which was very short compared to how it usually is. I ended up riding alone though, but I was fine with that. We ran to Racer to find the queue house almost completely empty! I wanted a back seat ride, but decided to get in the second to last seat, because it was a walk on. We then marathoned it 6 times. Aiiirtime! I was going to try out Slingshot, considering it was $5, but the line was pretty long for the low capacity. We went on Drop Tower, with a one-drop wait. Then the line was short again so we got on again. By this time, the line was getting pretty long so we skipped it and went on Invertigo. Invertigo's line was about 20 minutes, which is short compared to what it usually is. I enjoyed it, as usual, altough I'm not a big fan of Vekoma. We decided we were hungry and went to eat in the Festhaus where we got to see Down Home Country. It was okay, I guess. I'm not that in to country music, but hey, some people liked it. I was glad to get out of the blazing sun. After eating, some of my group wanted to ride SOB and some decided they wanted more DB, I didn't want to ride SOB considering my headache, and split up with 3 people to Diamondback. The line was amazingly short, and we got 2 rides out of it. The first ride, I wanted to ride in the front, and the ride-op said no. The second time I wanted to ride the back, and again, I was denied. Oh well, I'm satisfied with a ride on Diamondback regardless. The other people in my group called and said they were getting on Delirium, so we ran to Scooby-Doo. It was a walk-on.. Er, run on rather. We ran under all of the turnstyles and got on in under a minute. I got my all-time high score of 1290. One person got 200 something, and the other got 30. I'd say I've got the better shot. At this point, our deadline of 4:30 was approaching fast. We met up in front of the fountains and we went back to Action Zone. Seeing every line was long, Skyflyer was $5, I had never done Skyflyer, and Skyflier's line was short, I picked the obvious choice of.. Yup, you guessed it, Skyflyer. I was extremely scared to get on, being afraid of heights and all. (A coaster fan.. Afraid of HEIGHTS? Yeah. I am. I also like facing my fears.) Being the shortest, I had to pull the Ripcord. This made me really scared, haha. We were attatched to the wire, and the elevator dropped out from under us. I know they say, 'the floor is going to drop out from under you', but I didn't know you'd fall that fast! I heard the "3, 2, 1, Fly!" and I pulled my ripcord and... Nothing happened. I couldn't get the thing to budge. Then after a few seconds I got it to release and we were free-falling towards the ground. This was so scary! Then we felt like we were swinging, and gradually came to a stop. All in all, I had a good trip, and suprisingly didn't encounter any line jumpers. Thank god!
  3. Coastered out? :o What does that mean?

  4. That's exactly what I was thinking with each picture.
  5. Yeah. I black out, it's still a fun ride, its just scary sometimes because one time I couldn't move until we got past the Police part.
  6. I ride that every time now. This seat has moved Vortex up dramaticly (sp?) in my rankings.
  7. Yes! Okay, and I hear you. This is my first weekend out of school, and I'm tired as well. I can't even imagine how tired you are from the ERT and all. Hope you had fun though.

  8. Now, I can't really do a poll on this, because there are so many, but I just wanted to make a thread discussing your favorite elements on KI rides. Mine would have to be a tie between The Beast's double helix and Diamondback's second hill. What you pick can be still running, or can be defunct (i.e.: SOB's loop, KC's loop, etc.)
  9. Personally, I think any seat is amazing. The whole ride is just a total rush. Since I have to choose, I would have to say the back, either outside seat is the best.
  10. Are you doing a PTR of CoasterMania? I can't wait to see it if you are!

  11. They just make me so mad sometimes. Lying to make money. " Hurtling through the darkness, you'll come face-to-face with glistening, razor-sharp stalactites and roiling, red-hot lava pits, twisting and turning as you struggle against the fury of nature's polar opposites in a desperate effort to escape!" How about 'going up and down through darkness you'll come face to face with a poster of a goddess who's floating in the air! You'll come face-to-face with CEMENT, Metal walls and what used to be actual THEMING! Going up and down, how about we add a couple of boring flips in too as you're struggling against yelling about how stupid the ride is! Yay!' "Hourly Capacity 600 guests" -Wrong "Ride Length 2:55 minutes" -Wrong "Number of Seats 77 Stadium-Style seats divided into three rows" -Wrong "Flips Guests Upside-down 4 Times" -Wrong
  12. I voted Son of Beast. Son of Beast's loop was HUGE and the lap bars made it so AWESOME!
  13. Just the papers you printed out. That should be enough. If you renewed bring your old pass.
  14. Hah. Those people must've escaped. We weren't allowed to leave.
  15. I love this! I can't wait for my first CP trip! Great Pictures. I'm glad Millie's looking back to normal.
  16. Wood and steel both do the job so I don't like one better than the other. I like speed and airtime the most, and finally my three favorite rides are in this order: 1. The Beast 2. Diamondback 3. FoF. Posted from my iPod.
  17. Nope. Maybe it was just rainwater then. It was dark, like I said. It wasn't to the top of your ankles though, it was just above your feet.
  18. I say they bring back all the TR:TR theming, minus the copyrighted stuff. Along with the ride cycle. It'd be a great ride. I did hear the soundtrack though, waiting in line. I did find myself humming the song while leaving the ride.
  19. I was invited to go to Kings Island for a birthday party. We got there at like 2:30 (so late it's not even funny, we were supposed to go at 12:30). After scanning my pass, me and my group all decided on Diamondback first. We waited about 20-30 minutes for it and they all loved it. After riding Diamondback, we decided we were hungry so we got some Potato Works french fries. I got myself some Dippin Dots after (I've now made it a tradition to get cookies and cream Dippin Dots every time I go to Kings Island! YUM! ) and we went off to The Beast. The wait was TWO hours. Now don't get me wrong, I love The Beast, and it still stands as the best coaster (yes, it beats Diamondback), but I would not wait 2 hours for it. I wouldn't wait for 2 hours for anything. Ever. I did wait for Diamondback 2.5 hours, but that was because it was my first time on it and it was its opening day. Okay back on topic, I wanted to ride WWC for the first time this season, but the line was reaaaaaally long. We're talking up to the first few candy machines. We went to go check out Firehawk because I wanted to get on it for the first time this season, but the wait was an hour and a half. I like Firehawk, but I wouldn't wait that long for it. FOF was a 45 minute wait, and I wanted to wait for it, but my group didn't. I suggested Vortex, and we rode on 7-1. I'm addicted to that seat. You're ejected on that first hill in that seat. We then went over to Spongebob 3-D and I loved that ride. I don't know why, I've just always loved that ride. We then decided on The Racer, and rode the red train. I still looove the airtime on that ride and I had so much room it wasn't even funny. It was almost to the point I would've fallen out. "Who is we?" "RED TRAIN" Hah. When we were in the brake shed, some people screamed "Who is we?" and everybody screamed "RED TRAIN". It was pretty funny. After Racer, we walked to Adventure Express and I got on the front seat. I've never really ridden front seat on anything, I just don't like waiting extra for the front. I liked it, and some of the red lights were flashing in the "Volcano" tunnel. The giant stone idol at the end of the final lift tunnel had his mouth moving and his eyes blinking, but he didn't say anything.. By some miracle, the group got me on Drop Tower. The wait was pretty short, and I ended up loving it and wanting to ride again. This was the 3rd time I ever went on DT, and I ended up loving it more than I had ever. It was a pure adrenaline rush. We went to check out Invertigo's wait, but it was really long, and we walked over to Congo Falls. It was so cold. I was so stupid to ride it while the sun was going down. But we decided to ride WWC while we were wet. We walked over to Rivertown and got it line. It was so much shorter than before, and we got on in about 15 minutes. We had told somebody in our group, who did not want to get wet at all anymore, that you get a liiiittle bit wet. She got on and was so mad it wasn't even funny. She did enjoy it though. We went on The Crypt because my friends wanted to ride it even though I told them it changed and was stupid. We waited over 30 minutes for it. It was honestly the dumbest excuse for a thrill ride. The only good part was when it hung you upside down over the old volcano part. I heard many complaints when the ride was over ("THAT WAS IT?" "I WASTED THAT MUCH TIME WAITING FOR THIS S**T?" "STUPID!" "PUT IT OVER IN NICKELODEON TOWN!" Yeah, they actually said Town.) We exited to find it pouring rain. There was lightning like crazy. I'm talking like every few seconds. We were hungry and ran into the LaRosas and all pitched in for a pizza. We sat on the ground inside the LaRosas and ate. Then the tornado sirens went off and a Supervisor came into the store and told us we were not allowed to leave. There was quarter-sized hail for a few minutes. Then some panicked people came into the store crying and yelling there was a funnel cloud by 71. I didn't really believe them. We started talking to the employees, who were very funny and calming. One of the girls who came in crying went psycho. She went on about how she wanted her daddy. (This girl was a teenager) I tried to calm her by saying the tornados were gone, but she looked at me with a straight face and her skin went totally pale and said, "This is not the eeend! The worst of it has not come yet." I swear, all she needed was foam coming out of her mouth and I would've thought she was psycho. We then got the call that we were allowed to leave, and my group ran from shelter to shelter trying to get to the front. We ended up at the Candy shop right at the entrance of Coney Mall before it started getting really windy again. We stayed in there for a little while, but we went across to Outer Hanks, which looked like it was open, but was actually closed. We ran over there, to find it closed and we were stuck in the pouring rain. One of my friends had to go to the bathroom so we ran through the rain which came up to our ankles at some parts, to the bathroom across from Outer Hanks. The bathroom was flooded and it was too disgusting for me to walk in. I mean, I don't know what's in the water. So I waited and wentt back to the candy shop. People were stealing candy like CRAZY. The people sent us to the back of the Attitudes store. We got a call from my friends mom, (WE HAD SERVICE, FINALLY!), and she said she was at the front gate. She wanted us to come out, but they wouldn't let us out. At this point, we were getting mad. We sat there for a while waiting. I thought about my favorite rides. The Beast, Diamondback, Son of Beast, Flight of Fear, Drop Tower, and others. I prayed to God that they would be okay. ( ) The employees got a call that we were allowed to go. We again, bounced from shelter to shelter. We got to the picnic tables behind Outer Hanks, and they were flooded up to our ankles. Water from the lake was flooding into the picnic part. (Yes, there was that much rain) Or that's what it seemed at least. It was dark and I could hardly tell. I saw a huge group of people running to the front gate. I asked one of them where they came from and they said Flight of Fear. We were running, and running, we passed Sling Shot, and ran to the fountains. We got to the gates finally and were at last admitted to leave. We ran into my friends mom's car and at that, were safe. Overall, I had a great day at Kings Island. Great rides, few line jumpers. I did see one on Vortex who just literally pushed tons of people out of his way and ran into a seat while the gates were open. The ride-ops didn't do a thing. Which kind of scares me, are they not trained to handle this kind of stuff? When we asked the employees at Attitudes if they had a tornado emergency procedure, they just said no. And that also scares me. They're obviously not trained for this kind of stuff. Anyways, I had fun. Which is the main point of my day. I also thought it was fun running during the storm, you may think I'm crazy, but it was actually fun running from shelter to shelter.
  20. I was there yesterday for a birthday party. Some people (like me) were huddled into the Attitudes store and were NOT allowed to leave what-so-ever. I do remember some people came out of Flight of Fear when I was finally released. I'll put a TR up later. EDIT: I posted it already.
  21. Really? Where? I never knew that. What points of the queue line can you see it? Is it like labeled "TORNADO SHELTER" Sorry for all the questions I never knew there were tornado shelters.
  22. Angie! Aww! I feel bad for you, I'm so sorry about your Millie. I still have yet to ride it, but I do hope it will be opened back up in time for YOU to ride it during CoasterMania.

  23. I went on the day of the huge storm in September. They just evacuated the park. So I'm guessing not. Edit: I guess they do have a shelter according to SOB_TOM.
