I will be. Heading out about 930.

Will the Fast Lane Plus line be opened during ERT opening day?
-
Is anyone else surprised full circuit testing hasn't started for Banshee yet?
-
When Banshee testing begins I'm almost positive they would start with one-train operation.

I'm sure it's nothing significant, but it looks like something is on the lift about half way up. The lights seem to be covered.
-
Other than the erection of the ride, does anyone on the forums know if the crew from The Adena Corporation has any other part in the construction of Banshee?
-
Thanks

At knotts looking into more dark rides.
frisbeefan replied to westcoaster's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
It would be nice if park managment would look into themed music around the different areas. I know Kings Island isn't a theme park, but it would be good to have western music play in Rivertown. Just a thought. -
Great pics. Thanks for sharing!

Stumbled upon some videos of Leviathan testing this morning: Tried to get first video to embed, but didn't have success. You can see how much the water dummies come out of the seats! http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&v=Ts6iajLc0O4&NR=1

That is correct. I renewed online last season and was ready to go without needing to fill out anything.

But there *is* a weight requirement. I cannot recall what it is, probably 100#, but my 11-year-old son had to wait many cycles for somebody to ride with (not I, certainly!), because he was too light. When I worked Slingshot in 2005 the weight requirement was, I believe 110 or 120 lbs. Not sure if that is the same now.

'Theme from St. Elmo's Fire' reminds of walking through International Street and seeing the fountains. 'Saturday in the Park' by Chicago reminds me of when I would work in the mornings at Delirium when no park guests were there and it would echo throughout Action Zone. Good memories.

Well said AZ Kinda Guy...it's pretty annoying. I wonder how better the food will actually be this season? Time will tell obviously.

Kings Island 70's Campground brochure
frisbeefan replied to standbyme's topic in Kings Island History
Thanks for sharing! Looking at these photos kind of reminds of the camping scenes from National Lampoon's Vacation...haha. -
I really like this picture. It is odd not seeing GWL and it's always nice to see pictures of King Cobra.

Vortex was my first big roller coaster. I remember my cousin essentially forcing me to ride and will never forget that. It is true that seat 5-1 offers a great ride. Of course sitting in the front of a car helps out if you have long legs like I do.

I think it's interesting that on multi-million dollar investement there is only a 1 year limited warranty on the structure and operation of the ride. This is my ignorance showing, but I wonder if this is common for amusement park rides. Just curious.

It will be interesting to see how this turns out. I don't know anything about corporate contracts, but I wonder if KI tried to take any legal action against HUSS for TR:TR or Delirium for all the downtime and repairs these rides have needed. http://www.timesnews.net/article/9040373/defendant-asks-court-to-dismiss-dollywood-timber-tower-lawsuit
