Here are some pictures of I305's new track : Construction pictures -
I was afraid that I would fall out of the log going up the lift hill....stupid I know, but I was young.

Just ignore this post.

Great picture! It's hard to believe that AE is was built 20 years ago.

I know Screamscape isn't always 100 % accurate, but this was posted several days ago, and they reference this picture from Tower of Terror 2 as possibly what Magic Mountain will do since Dreamworld had a similar issue: http://screamscape.c...ic_mountain.htm -
Here is an article with some pictures of Coney Mall's rehab found here. Pictures are located on the left.

Universal Studios Florida Trip Report
frisbeefan replied to thekidd33's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Awesome, I will be there February 2-4. Even though I'm not much of a Harry Potter fan, I am looking forward to Forbidden Journey and hoping the crowds aren't terrible. -
Universal Studios Florida Trip Report

Thanks for the trip report! I will be going to Universal in less than a month and am very excited. Did you feel rushed to do everything in the 2 days you were there? -
Ripsaw Falls at Universal Catches Fire
frisbeefan replied to a topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I'm glad that no one was injured considering how massive the fire appeared to be. I'm heading to there in a month and was looking forward to riding this...guess I will have to go back. -
Worlds Fastest Roller Coaster
frisbeefan replied to Oldschool75's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
It has happened three times. I know Wikipedia isn't always accurate, but http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_Thrill_Dragster -
I agree. I only ride it once or twice a visit and really try to wait for the front because it is the most comfortable for me. Shockwave's restraints are extremely uncomfortable, and it didn't help that the second half of the ride was extremely rough. I don't remember King Cobra being that uncomfortable, but then again it's been 9 years since I rode King Cobra!

Old Cedar Point Commercials

Looking at the Raptor promo, it's amazing how far the animation has come. That looked like the original Disney Coaster game! -
I enjoyed working at DOT back in the Paramount years. Once you get the hang of the operation of the ride and dealing with idiots driving, it was fun. Altough standing out in the infield on a hot day blowing your whistle every 5 seconds at drivers wasn't always pleasent.

1430 Riders per Hour? HA!
-
I was impressed with their quick dispatch. I was there last Friday and the longest I waited was 30 minutes for the front seat of Griffon. This was with the line extending to the entrance while only running two trains. Apollo's Chariot was in the same situation with having to wait for the train to clear a block. Like Griffon, AC was only running two trains.

For me they are pretty uncomfortable.

Thanks for the information! I figured they had free water, but didn't want to be suprised. I'm looking forward to riding I305, Dominator, and Volcano the most. Believe it or not I'm also excited to ride Schockwave.

I will be making my first trip to Kings Dominion Monday-Wednesday next week and will post a Trip Report as soon as I can. There are 2 questions to those who have been there: Does the park allow you to bring in water? If not do they offer free water like KI? Does KD typically get the same attendance as KI ? Thanks in advance!

OFFICIAL! Son of Beast Will NOT Operate in 2010
frisbeefan replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
I think on both trains the front seat experience was the best. I would even say it was enjoyable. -
Like everyone has said, just go and have fun! It can rain in Mason, but completely miss most of the park. Rain can be a blessing when at the park, especially if it's busy.

I think it's hard to say that I305 is a "fail" ride. Sure it's having some wheel issues, but it seems to be running reliably now and hopefully Intamin can figure out the wheel issue(s).
